Death is one of the biggest drivers of fear, for almost everyone, their greatest fear is death because it is an unknown that no one can answer or at least that is supposed to be the case but in this world people know where they will head after death but are still unwilling to give up their lives so what could be the reason?
Grandpa told me that I have to die 10,000 times to make my soul accustomed to Godhood and thus promoting to become a True God. The criteria are apparently reaching True Nirvana, dying 10,000 times and coming back and then there is a certain purity condition. After training my unofficial ranking has reached 97 but even after training for 2 more years although my abilities have risen and my Divinity is now denser and purer than ever it doesn't increase any further.
Although according to Un-Chan I am probably better in terms of fighting ability but they seem to possess something which would turn the battle to their side rendering me useless and that is probably why I need to be a True God before I have access to some ability that can counteract it.
Divinity is a much more complex energy to master but because of my special abilities my comprehension of it has reached an incredible height which only powerhouses from ancient times have access to but I still can't seem to surpass them which seems like a terrible mark on me and my wish for being the strongest. So I don't back down and ask him to do it, he asked me if I am absolutely sure once and then he began the process. The plan is that I will be fighting against him using all of his abilities until I die then I come back and then die again and this would continue till I die 10,000 times and am able to land even a single wound on him.
This is the first time I will be fighting against a God as an opponent and the first one is the calibre of Grandpa which is either the best blessing or the worse curse at the same time. I prepare and then brandish my sword and head after him while protecting my body and trying to attack him at the same time but I couldn't even approach him before I lost consciousness and died of having my body destroyed.I did not even last a second in front of Grandpa, it is honestly frustrating but also reinvigorating that this is the baseline and I can test out my growth against that strong of an opponent without the fear of actually dying and giving my all to it. I raise all of my abilities to their max and use multicasting to cast multiple different attributes of magic but before I could even cast I died. Looks like I need to find out a way to delay him from killing me instantly and to be able to land a hit.
This location is in my Dimension Home and is affected by 1 minute outside is equivalent to180 days inside it. I was just able to achieve this and decided to check it out, it would help me a lot and even Grandpa was surprised by my rapid growth and the time difference inside my dimension home. Although I can double it to make 1 minute outside as an entire year inside but it is still not stable enough to use with other people. Apparently he has an item which provides a similar time gap but it cost a fortune to acquire it back when he was younger. We both keep doing that and by now I have died more than 300 times but right now I can last till about 10 seconds without dying and that is long enough to cast some spells. Like this I keep training against Grandpa and it took 2 days and I have died over a 1000 times by now more than 1/10th is over as we continue.
I turn to my Dragon Emperor form and fight against him trying various strategies to defeat him, although my body and mind were telling me to gain overwhelming power to overwhelm my opponents instead of thinking of easy ways to defeat someone which makes sense but I need to do both to be stronger than anyone.
This really is paying off and the time taken for reconstitution has also reduced by a lot making my come back faster and those attacks are invoking my unique ability which makes me immune to all attacks of that same calibre, while constant thinking of strategies is sharpening my mind and executing those is making my body almost invulnerable.
While doing this my Aura and Divinity have also increased and gotten denser. It really helps facing a much stronger opponent who completely overwhelms you which allows for real growth and experience. After 5 days my of this training my death count has reached 2300 which is quite less compared to earlier which shows my growth.
We keep training and I keep facing his attacks and receiving all of them without dodging to comprehend the knowledge behind each one of those attacks absorbing them like a sponge and then trying them against Grandpa. It takes 16 more days for me to die 5000 times and the time spent fighting is increasing every 10 fights crossing over 1 and a half a minute fighting against Grandpa. This goes on till we reach 7000 deaths and Grandpa increases his output, I launch spell after spell and utilise every technique I have trained in since the beginning and start developing new ones which can counterattack his attacks and then it happened after 9000 deaths one of my hits finally connect it still hasn't cause a wound but now I can finally hit him.
It took 9400 deaths before I finally cause a single wound on Grandpa, which is phenomenal because in the last 200 years no one has ever dared fighting Grandpa because of his ability as the Number 4 God which means that he is the 4th strongest God among all Gods and although he has reached the peak of his ability he keeps training which allows him to gain new abilities which he trains to the maximum before going to the next ability. Although that is just involving himself in doing something because he still doesn't have any means to break his limits and grow stronger so he is trying everything to do that but he is unable to increase his potential which is why he seeked for someone with more potential than him and he had his son who had an even greater potential than him train but losing him to the duplicitous God had him lose all hope until he coincidentally found me.
Even regardless of my inherent potential which even Grandpa can't quantify apparently I have something which helps me grow so much so quickly in total I have spent just over 30 years in training and have reached the position which no one has reached even in 100's of years with the only exception being the Number One God who reached it in 50 years.
Grandpa's training is rough but I have finally completed 10,000 deaths it took 90 days to do it and the moment I revived for the 10,001 time I felt something special was unlocked and when I tried to access it my body glowed in bright Crimson Aura and I felt a lot of pain again and it felt like every cell in my body was being tortured. All of the spirits showed up and held me again and at least Gina came in and kissed my forehead as well and asked Grandpa to come near and touch me but he wasn't able to understand in the beginning but after Un-Chan told him to he complied and he touched my back.
Soon all of my pain disappeared and a new feeling filled my body as I see a new structure, I have finally been reborn as a True God and all of my cells were replaced by Divinity reinforced ones which are much stronger but what is weird is that some unknown particles which I still can't comprehend has entered my body during that time what is weirder is that it is giving off an energy even stronger than Divinity, I need to research about it and find out what it is as soon as possible but while I was thinking that I looked at Grandpa and I saw his confused face which soon turned into ecstasy and he almost jumped in joy making me so curious that I call out to him and ask him about what exactly happened for him to react that way.
So he projected his status in my mind and I was blown away, it didn't show Max for everything. Which is weird because earlier when he showed it to me when I first came here as a God and now they show 80% which means that he has reached 80% of those abilities. So he tests them out and sees that indeed he can use them to his peak which means he can actually go past his original limits. Which is weird because he has spent over a thousand years looking for something but hasn't found that yet.
He then hugs me and asks me if I know what happened and I nodded and called upon Gina to ask whether it was her doing and she said yes and said that she felt my want to increase Grandpa's abilities and it happened. Although she can't access that function except in very special times.
Which means only one thing Grandpa's limit has been broken and now he can get even stronger and I have become a True God and achieved the title of
"One who has Transcended Death"
