We saw a hooded figure running away from some guards who are chasing that figure. We had 2 options, intervene and check what is going on or pay no mind to our surroundings.
We decided the former and caught the hooded figure which was exceptionally slim, as it tried to fight back to be set free we asked it what is happening to warrant the guards to chase it. As we took down the hood to see who we were dealing with my alert magic cautioned us as we backed away the place we were last standing in had a big dent and some people wearing the guards uniforms probably the ones who were chasing the hooded figure. The hood of that person fell back as we jumped back and revealed a red haired beast women with fox like ears.
First I used analyse on the guards and found out they aren't real guards after all because the way they acted was outside of protocol for guards but they were classified as mercenaries and they possessed an intent to kill. I used my [Space-Time Magic-Barrier] to stop them and used [Dark Magic-Sleep] on them.
We asked the beast woman about her involvement with these men posing as guards. She said that she was just walking along the street after dinner and was stopped by these men who were pretending to be guards and had asked her to come with them when she refused the tried to force her that's when she ran away. Not knowing what these guards wanted she kept trying to get away. I told her about these guards being fake and whether she had any enemies, she replied that she has a few but doesn't know who might set up such an elaborate plan to kidnap her.
I used [Wake up] on them and they got out and started shouting and thrash talking with us, they tried to break free from the barrier but no one except for peak 7th circle and above magicians can break it with brute force. I used soundproofing inside the barrier and played loud sounds to have them collaborate and asked them about the person who had hired them, after a lot of struggle they finally gave up they revealed that they don't know who hired them, but just that they were supposed to take her to a storage warehouse and restrain and keep her there. They have already received half payment of 100,000Aurums each and will be given the rest after receiving her they don't know why this person want's her.
We then hand them over to the guard station to the vice-chief of the guards who promised to look more into it. After which I decided to send Un-Chan there to see what exactly is that warehouse and wether we can find anything related to the person who set up the kidnapping but as it turns out the warehouse is empty, nevertheless I summoned a white rat which has an excellent stealth and information gathering ability to wait there and inform us if they find something/someone.
We then asked the beast woman about what she wanted to do? She replied that she would like to leave this place in case someone puts out another hit on her. We asked her whether she had anywhere else to go but she denied so we asked her if she wanted to come to the Royal Capital with us. She agreed saying that it might be safer, Abberon also agreed.
We get her things from the inn she is currently living in and I open a gate to the Royal capital where she rents a room in the same inn as us. We disperse to our specific rooms and sleep for the night. Thinking about what to do the next morning.
