After the legal procedures, the group plan to move to an Italian restaurant within the central business district. As they came in separate cars, they decided to meet there.
Pam finds everything unbelievable. In such a nick of time, she is wearing a marriage band. Tim was maneuvering to leave the parking area when Pam faced him. "When and how did you plan all these to happen? We just got back together yesterday! Wednesday night does not count."
What happened Wednesday night was the biggest turning point for Tim. He is 100% sure he wants Pam back and will never let her go. During that time he is determined to put up everything so she can not escape.
"I knew someone who knows the Mayor. I pulled some strings. We will submit the documents later to support the marriage certificate. I told you I can't let you go this time. In case you plan on escaping legally you are Mrs. Connor."
"But when did Jenna and Mark know?"
"I talked to them while you were out going to my apartment. I had to talk to Jenna especially in case you contact her or she contacts you. This is after I called the reception that my wife is coming over and will be entering my unit."
"Aha! That is why I find it weird! Why would she call me Mrs. Connor."
"Uhumm." Tim laughed, "are you regretting? There is no time for that anymore. There is no divorce here either. You are stuck with me!"
"But this ring... is it a ring meant for Lissy?" How can he be prepared with a ring in a very short period of time. It was not the perfect fit but it will not fall off. However, it may not be a ring intended for her.
"Of course not! I got her an engagement ring, whether she keeps it or not up to her. She was returning it when she told me she is breaking the engagement. These rings were something I got long time ago..."
Tim held her hand where the ring is and tried to turn it. "Is it loose? You have lost weight so maybe it will be loose."
"Yeah but it's not going to fall off." She said but Pam is still in disbelief, was he thinking of marriage ever since?
As if reading her mind, "you really thought I was playing before but I was serious. You were only 21 then. I had to consider your youth and career aspirations. To be honest I was not sure whether you see growing old with me. I was the one who is not confident you will stick with me."
Pam squinted her eyes but eventually smiled. "Tim you were my first love, I didn't even know how to love someone until you came."
She paused thinking forward, "people might think we are on whirlwind romance especially that you were always picking on me in the project."
"Picking on you?" Tim attempted to deny this. He was really being an asshole then.
"But you always did... so I thought you hate me that much."
"Let's not talk about it anymore. The present is more important. We each had our own realization." He held her hand intertwining their fingers feeling the ring. "I thought I will never be able to put this on your ring finger..."
Soon the four are sitting together in the Italian restaurant.
"Congratulations Tim and Pam! Few days ago we sat together with only us officially in a relationship. Now, you two are husband and wife." Jenna was almost teary eyed. She was never a fan of the two getting back together so she glared at Tim and said, "you take care of her Tim! If you do her wrong, you will answer to me. Before this Pam only had me."
"That's a given! Of course I will take care of her not just now, but for the rest of our lives! Why don't you tell your friend not to ever leave my side!" Under the table Tim was holding on her hand tightly. It was double meaning, pertaining to her decision before to just leave and the fact that they will be in LDR.
"Bro you got to work double time for the lost moments!" Mark winked at the couple.
"I wanted to but she's moving to Sydney. So I only have tonight until morning tomorrow to demonstrate my stamina."
"Not like I planned it just now...it's work after all. Stop being green!"
"But it's the truth I am not being green here! These are normal things adults can discuss. Jenna, Mark don't you talk about these stuff?"
Mark and Jenna laughed at the two. They even talk about more explicit things. It's part of growing together as couple. Inside they can understand the situation, it's really a pity. They were reunited and even married but would have to live physically apart, what a challenge to grow together!
Towards the end of their meal, Mark had the chance to ask Tim, "have you heard about your ex?"
"Why would I be interested?" Truth is he was still receiving some info from X.
"So she got the bigger fish!" Mark was teasing Tim.
"I don't care. If she value bigger wallet than a bigger weapon so be it."
"Ha ha ha how can you be sure Tim."
"Ask your boyfriend." Tim teased Jenna with a meaningful smile.
Pam could not help but think of weird things, why would Mark know those things. Do they compare?
"Stop it Tim!" Pam is embarrassed who knows if she will suddenly be dragged to the slimy conversation. Who knows if she will be asked to confirm. She obviously have nothing to benchmark with. If he is above average or just average she doesn't know! All she knows is it hurts every first entry.
Tim kissed her at the temple laughing.
"Pam, I am the real threat in your relationship. I serve Tim the best. I am a wife material. I do as he wish!"
"Okay start being the third wheel to them, let's break up!" Jenna threatened Mark.
"Babe.. you only deserve my full and outstanding service. Forgive my arrogance."
To this Pam laughed so hard. She can imagine how colorful the two are.
Today, the newly wed get to have fun and meal with the two closest friends they have. They can freely plan moving forward activities together like double dates. Jenna and Mark could not be happier than this for the two. It was painful to see what they have gone through.
