In a famous reaturant, guests were looking towards a screen. The screen was projecting an avascian fight. The stage for the fight was under the restaurant, completely safe.
The fighters were Ryder and Eason, a professional orange grade avascian and a amateur orange grade avascian, that is, in terms of popularity.
Both of them looked at each other warily just like in the beginning of the fight. Except this time, Eason was in the dominant postion rather than Ryder. This is truly a miracle as Eason has been defensive the entire time. Yet, Eason is the one who is currently dominant in this fight.
Both of them, Ryder and Eason, had already took their stances for round 2. The round 1 was regarded as a tie.
Ryder thought.
'I can't lose to this guy, he's just a newbie. If I lose, I will lose the only respect I have for myself, that is, the yellow flash dance.'
Eason thought.
'Hmph! The moment you agreed to my spar, you were destined to lose. No wonder, my intuition was somewhat telling me to do this and that during the tour. Be grateful, as you're my first true avascian sparring partner.' Eason's eyes sparkled in bluish light.
Eason was the one who took the lead this time. He ran forward leaving behind burned traces on the floor of the stage. He ran in a zig-zag manner in a fast manner using the force of avasci released from his hands.
Ryder got ready just like the usual times except this time, he was in defensive mode.
'Yellow Flash Dance'
Ryder moved in a specific manner. Wherever he moved, flashes of yellow light followed him.
As time passed, both of them got closer. Ryder was wary of his surroundings, predicting when his opponent will teleport and all.
Just as Ryder's spear was about to touch Eason's glove, Eason disappeared. Ryder's eyes narrowed at seeing this. He then looked behind him. He saw Eason standing far away from him.
Yet Eason disappeared yet again as he appeared besides him as he punched towards Ryder.
But Ryder still had his yellow flash stance activated as blocked the attack with the shaft of his spear. The spear was his personal gear. He can unleash long-range attacks with the help of his spear.
But this didn't stop as Eason disappeared and appeared yet again to attack Ryder. Yet Ryder blocked it. This didn't stop as this same incident was repeated again and again.
This scene was similar to what had happened before yet Ryder was the one in defensive state this time.
Both Ryder and Eason, didn't later. Ryder believed he would find an opportunity as long as he endured. While, Eason patiently unleashed attacks, again and again, to interrupt Ryder's flow for the sake of an opportunity to unleash a fatal attack.
Suddenly Eason stretched his hand towards Ryder. Eason then unleashed a long-range avascian attack. Ryder tried to get bring himself back yet couldn't as he saw Eason stretched his hand again towards him. He then flew backwards with the force of avasci unleashed by his hand and legs as he stepped on the floor leaving behind burns on the floor.
The avascian attack landed on him as flew backwards. Yet, before it could deal any fatal danger, he was pulled out of the stage via teleportation means of the barrier placed upon this particular stage.
Ryder couldn't believe that he had just been defeated. He was defeated by a mere newbie. He truly couldn't believe this. He wrapped his head with hands followed by placed his head on his lap as he pulled his legs inward towards himself.
As for how he knew his opponent was a newbie? That's because, his spear was sensitive towards this kind of things as long as it touches the opponent's avasci.
He then thought back to how he had been defeated. He only knew that it was a mental attack. At that time, he had already deeply strained his mind. Due to the intense battle along with suppression of drunkness, he was mentally tired. Eason then took advantage of this to unleash a strange attack focused on the psyche. He couldn't even recover under the influence of this attack.
'Once the attack grasps you, it is impossible to escape from it. The movements I did after getting attacked were the movements done subconsciously due to my yellow flash dance. But it's easy for him to forcefully find a flaw due to his gloves and then attack me. I couldn't even find the opportunity to counter-attack when he retracted his mental attack to attack me directly as there were serious after-effects.'
Ryder couldn't believe that he had just been defeated. Even the audience couldn't believe it, especially the admirers of Ryder. Everyone celebrated themselves to have witnessed such an under dog fight.
"O.o, that was quite the fight. Good Job, kid"
"I can't believe Ryder got defeated by a stranger. I guess there are other strong avascians not participating in the competition."
"Could have made quite a lot of money by betting against Ryder. Unfortunately, I wouldn't have even made such a bet even if there was a betting contest."
Anna couldn't believe what she had just seen. No, she wasn't completely sure but she knew that Eason had a chance to defeat this avascian, Ryder. But the most surprising fact is that Eason didn't seem to have even used his talent to defeat his opponent.
'He is truly talented. I guess, what he had said back then to his sister did indeed make sense.' She sighed.
She knew that; she was his guardian yet she was fearful of his revenge, so she couldn't be very strict towards Eason, just being strict is enough.
Eason and Ryder then came out of the underground stage into the restaurant.
Eason was dumbfounded by all the praises he was hearing from the guests of restaurant.
The manager of the restaurant came forward and spoke.
"It's been a honour to have witnessed such an under-dog fight. Everyone knows that, you were in fact weaker than Ryder yet stronger when it comes to overall strength. So everyone truly enjoyed this fight."
"Hahaha, thank you." Eason then looked over at Ryder who was beside him.
Ryder's eyes were sunken. He couldn't believe that all the praise that should have come towards him is being directed at someone else.
