"Good morning there, lad! Tidy up and prepare for the morning feast. I have a magnificent announcement to make." The Professor happily said as he ran into Reaper.
"Good morning to you too, Professor. Have you seen the others already?" Reaper asked.
"Why of course. The girls are already setting up the table while you and the rest of the boys are still taking time on your slumber." The Professor explained. "Can you wake them up for me?" He asked.
"Sure thing, Professor. I'm on it." Reaper responded then headed to where Glass, Surge, Beast and Calcipher's rooms are.
Reaper hears the chuckles and the muffled conversations of the girls from the dining area as they continue to set it up. It also appeared that the ones who cooked their breakfast were Zythandra and Pandora so everyone is looking forward to it. Pandora is known to cook delicious meals and Zythandra as well even though it she doesn't look like the cooking type of lady. Cooking is definitely one of the many skills Zythandra acquired throughout her years in being an assassin.
Reaper woke up the rest of them one at a time and they all went to the dining area. They were then welcomed by the girls who have already prepared the entirety of their breakfast. It is evident it can be considered a feast as what the Professor said since Zythandra and Pandora cooked a number of meals but Luna isn't with them yet. It's highly likely that the Professor will announce her before they all start eating.
"Well then, It appears that all preparations are now complete. I'd like to announce something before we start our feast." The Professor said.
"Pandora, do you have any idea what's the announcement about?" Reaper asked discreetly.
"No. I don't have even the slightest idea. Do you know something?" Pandora responded.
"I may have a guess but let's wait for the actual announcement. I may also be wrong." Reaper replied.
"I'd like you all to welcome a new member of our family. Please, introduce yourself." The Professor announced then gestured for something to come in.
"I knew it." Reaper quietly exclaimed.
Luna, the Anamoly from Virgo City, came in to the dining area to introduce herself. Everyone was surprised specially Pandora, Beast and Reaper since she is not new to them. Knowing Luna, her Anomaly allows her entire body glow when exposed to full moon. She may not have the same destructive power as the rest of them but she's an Anomaly so the Professor and their mentors decided to take her in.
"Welcome to the club, Luna!" Glass welcomed.
"Another sister! That's a huge yes for me. Come sit next to me." Medusa exclaimed.
"Hello there, beautiful! I'm Surge. I'm the strongest one here. It's very lovely to meet you." Surge commented with such suave.
"Don't flatter yourself too much, Surge. Everyone knows who the strongest one here is." Glass said.
"Yes and that would be me." Surge replied aggressively.
"Enough of that, boys. You're scaring our guest." Calcipher butted in.
"Luna, why don't you tell them your Anomaly or better yet your story? Why did you end up here?" Zythandra suggested.
"Sure. First of all, it's so nice to see you again Pandora, Reaper and Beast." Luna commented.
"You three know her?" Surge exclaimed. "How? That's so unfair."
"Life is unfair, man. Life is unfair." Glass said.
"My Anomaly is I can glow whenever I come across the full moon. On top of that, I just recently realized that my Anomaly has healing properties as well." Luna explained.
"You can heal now?" Reaper asked.
"That's correct." Luna confirmed.
"That's very pleasant to hear. I'm happy for you." Pandora commented.
Luna started her tale at the time she parted ways with the Pandora, Reaper and Beast that night they met in Virgo City. She recalled that even before Zythandra and Calcipher apprehended them, her Anomaly automatically died down so their mentors didn't see for themselves what she can do that time. As soon as she fled that pier, she headed straight back to her home. She was then welcomed by her bedridden mother and her younger siblings who have started to show symptoms of being sick as well.
"Where have you been? I was so worried about you." Her mother said while trying her best not to cough.
"I'm sorry if I worried you so much. I'm just fine. How about you? How are you feeling?" Luna asked as she walked slowly towards her bedridden mother.
"Your brother prepared our dinner. Go and eat." Her mother said.
"Luna, welcome back!" One of Luna's kid siblings greeted her followed by three other younger siblings.
"Adia, come here. Give me a hug!" Luna responded and greeted her back with a hug. "You three, come in here too." She added then the other three younger siblings cheered in excitement as they hurried their way to Luna's arms.
"Luna, is that you? We've been waiting for you. Let's go eat." One other sibling of Luna said.
"Khalid, mama said you prepared our dinner?" Luna asked.
"I tried my best. I hope it's at least half as good as you always make for us." Khalid shyly responded.
Luna has five other siblings. She's the eldest child. Next is the twelve-year-old Khalid. Then, the ten-year-old Adia, next are the five-year-old fraternal triplets Paki, Razi and Zabi and finally their youngest sibling at four years old, Faizah. Their father was said to be working overseas but it's been years since they heard from them so they don't know where he really is or if he is still alive. He flew away even before Faizah was born. Not having any assistance from the father of their family, their mother was forced to work and provide for them causing her to become sick. The burden of supporting their family's needs fell hard on Luna's shoulders.
Luna got to the point that she doesn't have any other choice but to work three jobs to support their family. Though it's extremely challenging, she tend to not mind it as she happily work and earn for them. She's been trying to find their father for years now but to no avail but she's not giving up like the fact that she hasn't given up on her family. She believes that all of them will live as one big happy family once again like everyone else's family and the way they used to be.
"How's your day today, Luna? I bet you had so much fun." Adia commented.
"It went fine." Luna responded as she remembers the fact that she was almost got captured by the military force. Luckily, Reaper and the others found her.
"Fine? You mean fun, right? There's no way you were out until this time of night and it's just fine." Adia teased.
"We can say that this night was so eventful." She replied.
"Oh, Luna has a boyfriend." Adia teased further then laughed.
"Stop that, Adia. Luna said that she will not get married let alone getting a boyfriend. Isn't that right, Luna?" Khalid said.
"You're so right, Khalid." Luna said. "I want to give all my time and energy to you guys so you better make sure to study well so we can live in a big mansion that you guys always want." She cheered her siblings on.
"Of course, we will!" Adia proudly said. "Khalid and I are at the top of our classes so you don't need to worry."
"We'll surely leave this small house we're living in and move in to a mansion very soon." Khalid added.
"I love seeing you guys so pumped up. Keep up that high spirits at all times." Luna commented.
"We want to eat more!" Pazi exclaimed.
"We're still hungry." Razi seconded.
"Can Zabi have more food, please?" Zabi asked.
"The triplets seemed to love your cooking, Khalid. You should probably cook more often." Luna said.
"I won't argue with that. Your cooking is amazing!" Adia commented. "We should help Luna more with some house works."
"I'm glad you loved my meals. I'll definitely cook more next time." Khalid replied slightly proud.
"While you're doing more of the cooking, I'll do most of the cleaning so it can be even." Adia suggested.
"Thank you so much you two. I am so happy you're one of my siblings. My life just becomes one hundred times much easier." Luna exclaimed then hugged the two of them. The triplets won't let themselves be left out so they rushed in for a group hug as well.
Khalid and Adia curiosity got the best of them so they asked if Luna heard the city alarm going off earlier that night. Luna was caught off guard but she just played it as cool as she can. She told them that she and her friend hid themselves somewhere safe so they won't get to be a victim of a rampaging Anomaly which Khalid and Adia bought without any hint of suspicions. Luna decided to not tell anyone in their family that she's an Anomaly since it first manifested. No one knows how it would turn out if she told them. She may be accepted which is highly unlikely knowing other Anomaly stories circulating the internet or her own family may even be the ones to take her to the military force. No one can tell for sure so she decided to keep it to herself.
"I've heard that the bounty for capturing an Anomaly increased but I'm not sure how much it is now for sure. I think hit a million already or even higher than that now." Khalid shared.
"Wow!" Adia shrieked. "Imagine us surrendering an Anomaly to them. We'll become instant millionaires."
"Money, money, money!" The Paki and Razi chanted.
"Zabi's rich?" Zabi muttered to herself.
"Remember what I'm always telling you two. Money that instantly comes will instantly go away as well. It's best if you worked hard for the money you earned." Luna pointed out. Fear started to creep into her insides. Based on how this conversation is going, there's a chance that her siblings may be the ones who'll throw her to the wolves' den. Even so, she still believes that she being their siblings would change their minds and accept her one day.
"Think of all the things we can buy with that money, Luna. We can even get mom to a great hospital." Khalid pointed out.
"We can also buy proper vitamins for the triplets, Faizah and us too. Health is wealth you know. We're not aiming for material things. Our health is our top priority as well." Adia said.
Luna was taken aback from what her siblings said. They're not thinking about their personal gain at all once they got the bounty. They're actually prioritizing the wellbeing of their family as well. This made her elated that she started to tear up. She's now having thoughts of surrendering herself as long as her family will get the bounty. However, the fact that unimaginable things may happen to her in the military force's hands hold her back from the idea of sacrificing herself to make her mother and siblings' lives more fruitful.
"Hey. Why are you crying? We're just casually talking about stuff here." Adia asked.
"Don't mind me. I'm just happy seeing you talk about the wellbeing of our family. It makes me proud to be your older sister." Luna responded.
"That's what you're always telling us, right? Family comes first before anything else." Khalid pointed out.
"Family is first!" Paki exclaimed.
"First is family!" Razi seconded.
"No! Zabi is first." Zabi yelled.
"But what if one of us becomes an Anomaly? What will you do then?" Luna asked after mustering all her courage.
"No sibling of us is Anomaly!" Khalid aggressively announced. "I've heard and seen what they can do from the news. They are ruthless monsters!"
"Don't you think that's too much? None of us did anything close to being monstrous." Adia commented.
"Anomalies are bad!" Paki screamed.
"Very bad!" Razi seconded.
"Zabi is bad?" Zabi asked.
"No, Zabi. Anomalies are the bad ones. You Paki and Razi are very good kids." Khalid responded.
The atmosphere escalated quickly from being wholesome to becoming intense. Luna's siblings were so engulfed by the system that they learned to despise Anomalies even if they don't any personal experiences with them. The fact they ready to forget they she's their siblings is very heartbreaking for her specially Khalid. Adia may understand but she can't be really certain. She's afraid that the triplets are genuinely becoming hateful towards Anomalies like them. She's decided to put up the act and keep the fact to herself that she's one of those monsters her siblings so despise.
"Thank you for the meal!" Luna exclaimed after she and her siblings are done eating.
"I'll help you wash the dishes, Luna." Adia volunteered. "I'll just get the triplets and Sahara to bed."
"Let me take the triplets and Sahara to bed. You clean the table then you can help Luna after." Khalid said.
"Great idea. Let's go." Luna responded cheerfully.
"Good night!" Paki exclaimed.
"Sweet dreams!" Razi announced.
"Zabi's going to sleep already?" Zabi asked.
"Yes, you are Zabi. You are all going to sleep." Khalid responded.
As Khalid went off with the triplets and Zahara, Luna and Adia went ahead and clean the table and started to wash the dishes. Like they always do while washing the dishes, they busted out a speaker and played their favorite music to keep themselves entertained but they made sure that the volume is relatively low given that it's already the dead of night. They were singing and dancing away making the chore to finish longer than expected yet extremely fun.
The sisters finally finished washing the dishes so they have decided to call it a night. Adia went to her room and so is Luna. However, Luna couldn't get herself to sleep so she decided to visit their mother once again to somehow clear her mind. Lucky enough for her, her mother couldn't get herself to sleep as well so she calmly invited Luna in and gestured to sit on the bed. Luna then started to massage her hand to further calm her down.
"I know when something's bothering you, my love. Come on. Tell it to me." Her mother said while quietly coughing.
"It's nothing. I just want to see you. That's all." Luna responded as she started to tear up once again.
A lot has been bothering Luna lately specially the fact that her siblings might loathe her and see her as those commonly depicted monstrous Anomalies worldwide in every given platforms but he couldn't share it to her mother because it's highly likely that she may feel the same. She admits that they're life isn't perfect but it's still full of love and laughter. She couldn't bear to even imagine it will all go away and be replaced by fear and hatred.
"I know I told you this before but I'm proud of you. I'm grateful to the greater spirits that you're my eldest." Her mother commented which made Luna burst out in tears. "If I can just take all your hardships, I will. You deserve to be happy."
"You don't have to say that. I am happy. I really am. I understand our situation so don't worry about me too much. I can manage." Luna responded.
"If only your father is here, our lives will be far from the one we have right now." Her mother said. She then started coughing aggressively and uncontrollably which put Luna in a panic state.
"Mom, are you alright? What do I need to do?" Luna asked in slight hysterics.
"G-get me my p-pi-pills at the top drawer." Her mother struggled to respond.
Luna quickly fetches every medicine she saw from the drawer next to her mother's bed and hurriedly gets a glass of water as well from the kitchen. She then assisted her to get the right pills and helped her to take them. Few minutes later, it's evident that the intense coughing made her mother lose a lot of energy so she continued lying down and catching her breath. Her mother then reached out for her cheeks to wipe the tears out of her face.
"I want to be honest you, my love. I have this feeling that the greater spirits will come for me anytime soon so I want to tell something."
"Don't say that! You'll be well. Just hang in there. I'll find a way. I know I can find a way."
"I don't doubt that you'll find a way, my love. You always do. It's just that my body may not be able to keep up so let me say this before it's too late."
"I'm listening, mom. Tell me."
"You're my daughter so I know everything about you. I mean every single thing."
"I know that but what do you mean?"
"I know that you're one of them, right?"
Luna's mind was flooded by several ideas what might her mother mean about that statement but one thing stood out from the rest. She might be referring to her being an Anomaly but she's convincing herself that it couldn't be that since she knows that she's been doing her very best to hide from everyone including her family. Her mother looked at her in the eyes with full of compassion instead of fear and hatred that she's expected so she doesn't have the will to keep to herself further so she just told her the truth.
"Yes. I'm an Anomaly. When and how did you know?"
"I told you. I'm your mother. I know everything about you."
"Aren't you afraid of me? Don't you see me as a monster like the rest of the world does?"
"Why would I be afraid of my own daughter? I love you then and I love you even more now. Being an Anomaly won't change that. I just wished that you told me sooner than keeping it to yourself. I will always be by your side."
Her mother's words hit her to her core which made her bawl her eyes out. All this time she's just overthinking and stressing herself out when her mother is ready to accept and love her may she an Anomaly or not. She hugged her tightly as she continues to cry. Her mother hugs her back and tries to console her so that her siblings won't wake up and hear her crying all her sorrows out. Eventually, she controlled herself and stopped crying.
"You should stop crying now. You know you look ugly when you cry." Her mother teased.
"Stop it. I'm just happy that you're still in my side even after knowing what I really am. One thing I'm curious about is how did you know?"
"I've seen you glow the first time way back when you were thirteen years old. I think that was in the bathroom. I was so busy at work that time so I shrugged it off and convinced myself that I'm just seeing things due to extreme stress."
"Why didn't you tell anyone or me for that matter?"
"My hands are full with work and taking care of you and your siblings so I admit I forgot about that but the idea of you being an Anomaly dawned on me when I got bedridden. Also, I somehow learned how your Anomaly works."
"I have so many more questions to ask but I'll let you tell me the story, mom. Please go on."
"Sure thing, my love."
Her mother shared her thoughts as to how and when she realized and accepted that her first born child is an Anomaly. At first, she continues to shrug the idea as she convinces herself that her eyes playing tricks on her but she started to believe when she witness her daughter glow at random nights more often. Fear is what she thinks she feel the first time she so Luna glow with her own eyes but she felt warmth. Warmth as she's being embrace by the greater spirits themselves so she felt safe around her presence. Since then, she looked forward to the nights lit by the full moon so she can once again witness her daughter's luminous beauty.
"I loved to you embrace your true self. Don't try to hide it your whole life. Remember that you are beautiful." Her mother pointed as she continues to struggle due to excessive coughs.
"Knowing that you accept me despite being an Anomaly brings me great joy but please rest up."
"Having this conversation with is making me elated that I don't want to take a rest."
"Don't be stubborn, mom. We can take again tomorrow. You better rest now. It's getting very late."
"Fine but before I go, I have one final request."
"What is it?"
"I can see that the night is blessed the fullest of the moon. Can you show me a beauty of an angel?"
"Now? I can't. Someone might see me."
"It's the dead of the night. Everyone is sleeping already. Can you do it for me, please?"
"Okay fine but only for a short time so you can rest up."
Luna stood up and faced the window so she can see the moon very clearly. She then slowly took off her jacket to reveal more of her skin. She focuses her glance towards the moon and she let her Anomaly manifest on its own. The warming light her mother longed for slowly embraces her from head to toe. Her mother started clap and a familiar song which made Luna realized that she is singing her favorite song as a child. Luna also remembered that she used to dance to that soothing song so that's what she did.
Seeing her daughter dance so gracefully while completely showing off her majestic Anomaly makes her heart filled with joy like her pain and sadness cause by her illness are being chased away. She started to tear up because of the same pure joy she's been feeling. Luna saw this heartwarming response from her mother so she decided to continue dancing and glow even more brightly. However, her mother suddenly stopped clapping and singing.
"Mom, are you okay? I told you earlier that you need to rest already." Luna exclaimed as she ran towards her as quickly as she can.
Luna tried getting her mother to respond but nothing is being said or done by her. Thinking that her mother is just tired, she helped her lie down comfortably on her bed. However, she felt that her mother's strength already left her body so she immediately engulfed in fear and panic. She couldn't imagine bearing the thought that their mother would leave them like this so she tried her best to wake her mother up as discreetly as she can so her siblings wouldn't notice.
"Mom! Don't leave us like this. We have so many things left to do. You can't give up on us." Luna exclaimed as she cries heavily but quietly.
"Thank you, my lo-" Her mother whispered ever so quietly then she finally closed her eyes with a heartwarming smile on her face. Luna knew that it's her way of saying goodbye on last time.
Luna attempted to check if there's still a pulse left so she can help from their neighbors to rush her to the nearest hospital but she couldn't feel anything. All she can do at this time is to mourn her mother's untimely and sudden death. She didn't realize it yet but she still hasn't stopped manifesting her Anomaly. As she continued to mourn her death, her glow grows brighter and brighter along with her grief and despair.
Suddenly, Luna's glow appeared to reach its peak so it slowly died down but her grief didn't die down with it. She continued to cry all her soul out as she embraces her mother's still warm body. She decided to get some air moments later to think of what she'll do next but before she can leave the room, Adia showed up at the doorway. This immediately made Luna tear up once again. Seeing her sister's worn out eyes made their sad and curious at the same time.
"Luna, what's wrong? Are you alright?" Adia asked.
Luna couldn't bear to speak about what just happened to their mother so she ran away. As soon as she got out of their mother's room, she saw her Khalid standing nearby looking at with such melancholy. Luna continues to run back to her room while Adia and Khalid get into their mother's room. Due to the lateness of the night and her worn out energy, Luna fell asleep with a very heavy heart. However, the following morning's event will shock her even more.
As usual, it's Luna who wakes up first amongst her siblings. Though there's strange feeling of warmth in the atmosphere, she immediately remembered the fact that her mother died in her own arms the night before so she hurriedly ran to her mother's room to check on her. On her way, she recalled that Adia and Khalid dropped by last night so it's natural that they were able to see their mother's body but for some reason there's no commotion happening or even a slight hint of panic lingering in the air. She may found it weird but it didn't stop her to check on their mother.
Luna managed to get outside of their mother's room. Its door was closed shut for some reason which triggered unpleasant thoughts to pop up on her head. As she reaches out for the doorknob, she heard clanging sounds from the kitchen which felt weird for her because she's always the first among her siblings to wake up every morning. She immediately thought that a burglar broke into their home so she mustered up all her courage and decided to apprehend whoever it is in the kitchen.
She slowly approached their kitchen while holding a broom she picked up somewhere to act as a weapon just in case. Before she can even see who it was, she heard someone humming a familiar tune. It was the song her mother used to sing to her when she's still a young child. Knowing this, she quickly charged in to their kitchen revealing her mother happily setting up the table for the whole family's breakfast. This scene made Luna lose her grip to the broom she's eventually for it to fall on the ground. The sound of the broom hitting the ground alerted her mother so she greeted her happily.
"Mom? Is that really you?" Luna asked as she's holding back her tears.
"Good morning, my love!" Her mother greeted her. "What's with that face? You look like you've seen a ghost or something."
"You're here but how? Your illness, last night and now." Luna couldn't find the right words to express herself.
"Of course you noticed. You know what? I didn't know what happened last night. It was a miracle!" her mother pointed out. "I really thought the greater spirits finally decided that it was my time but I felt an embrace from a familiar light and I was brought back to my senses and in some kind of great miracle, I was completely healed as well. So, I want to thank you for that."
"Me? I did not do anything. I really thought you left us for good last night."
"That familiar light was from you, my love. You may have not noticed it yet but it seemed that your Anomaly prevented me from joining the greater spirits from the greater beyond and it got rid of my illness as well."
"No. I don't have that kind of ability. My Anomaly couldn't possibly be the one responsible for that but I'm really grateful that you're back and free from your illness. I thank the greater spirits for this miracle."
"Amen to that, my love. Now then, can you please call on to your siblings? I already set up our breakfast. We'll talk about the rest and everything else while we eat."
"Sure. I'll fetch them now."
Luna did come back with her siblings. Adia and the others immediately rushed to their mother after seeing her on her feet after a very long time except for one. Khalid just stood there as he watches them clamor in joy. Their mother and Luna saw this behavior as normal for Khalid because he is naturally a quiet kid growing up. Eventually, he stepped in to hug them and joined them for their breakfast.
"Mom, are you really feeling fine now? It's not that I'm against it but it's really hard to believe that you've totally recovered from your illness all of a sudden." Adia asked.
"I really am. I owe this second life to the greater spirits. We should pay our respects to them and most specially our gratitude as soon as possible." Their mother proudly responded.
"Whatever miracle that's happened, I'm glad that you're completely healed and you've came back to your usual energetic self." Adia replied happily.
Throughout the time their having a feast of a breakfast, Khalid wouldn't dare to speak up for some reason. He just continues to observe everyone most specially Luna and their mother. Moments later, they suddenly heard tire screeches outside of their home and an evident commotion is being heard rapidly building up. This understandably made everyone in the family panic except for one and that one is Khalid.
"This area is now under surveillance for reported Anomaly sighting! In accordance to the law, we command everyone to stay on your feet and do not move." A man screamed outside of their home.
"I'm scared." Paki said.
"What is happening?" Razi asked.
"Zabi is an Anomaly?" Zabi asked.
"Mom? What is happening? Who are those people outside our house?" Adia asked.
"I don't know baby." Their mother worriedly responded.
"Khalid, is this your doing?" Luna asked.
"What if it is, Anomaly?" Khalid responded aggressively.
"You called the military? You told me you're not going to!" Adia exclaimed. "Luna healed our mother!"
"I watched mom died last night!" Khalid yelled and proceeded on crying as he couldn't hold his tears back any longer. "Then I saw that freak did something to mom's body then all of a sudden she appeared to come back to life. Last time I check, dead people don't come back to life. So, how dare you get fooled by her? She's just most likely controlling mom's body." He explained.
"You got it all wrong, my boy. This is really me. Luna healed me last night which prevented my death. We should be thankful to her." Their mother responded as he grabbed Khalid's shoulders.
"You can't fool me. An Anomaly is an Anomaly. They're a menace to the society! They have to be taken custody so they won't do further harm." Khalid replied.
"Harm? You call me being healed your sister is harm? What has happened to you all these years, my boy? You're not this narrow-minded." Their mother said.
"Why did you do this, Khalid? Mom is well now so we don't need the reward for the capture of an Anomaly anymore." Adia asked.
"Look at our situation, Adia! We're as poor as the rats scurrying in their holes. We deserve better than this." Khalid exclaimed.
"But we're happy living this way as long as we're all together. What you're doing is not helping us." Adia responded.
"I will say this once again, No one moves or you're all going to be under arrest!" The same man from earlier announced. "Men, charge in."
They suddenly heard people bashing down their front door and footsteps towards them were noticed. As they all still gathered around the dining table, A man who appeared to be the leader of the unit took away Khalid as he confirmed that he was the one who reported them about the Anomaly sighting. Luna and the rest of them were kept seated while the Keepers interview Khalid. The tension keeps on rising as Luna's imminent capture draws closer and closer.
"I'll distract them. You make a way for you to escape. Can you do it?" Their mother whispered at Luna.
"I can't. I can't leave you behind." Luna responded as she tries her best not to cry.
"Don't worry about us. Worry about yourself. They're here to capture you and not us."
"But how can I escape? We're surrounded."
"Utilize your Anomaly somehow."
"Stop interrogating my brother! The one you're looking for isn't here so you better leave." Adia screamed and ran towards the leader of the Keepers and started punching and kicking him.
Adia's actions caught everyone by surprise including the leader of the Keepers who's talking to Khalid. This didn't sit right with him so he shrugged her off of him. He unintentionally pushed Adia too hard on her face making her drop to the ground. Her head unfortunately hit the ground as well making her immediately unconscious. Everyone was shocked about what happened. Even the leader of the Keepers didn't know what to do at first he told a few of his men to take care of Adia.
"Adia, my girl! Wake up for mommy. Adia?" Their mother said in panic as she hurriedly caressed Adia in her arms.
"Madam, let us take care of your daughter." Some other Keepers commented.
"No!" Their mother shrieked. "Look what your boss has done to my beautiful daughter! Are you going to arrest her now too?" She continued screaming. Then, blood started flowing from Adia's head.
"Madam, your child is bleeding! We have to tend her immediately or something worse might happen." The Keepers said.
At this point, Luna couldn't hold her emotions any further this worsened when she saw blood coming out of her sister's wound. It appears that she can still harness what's left of the moon's energy and have it manifest. Due to her immense emotions towards the situations, she was able to use her Anomaly even if it's daytime. She slowly started to glow and its intensity become stronger and stronger every passing second.
The manifestation of Luna's Anomaly caught everyone's attention. Whether they find it beautiful or not is out of the question. Their main goal is to restrain and capture her. What Luna is trying to do reached their mother's thinking so while everyone has their attention fixed at Luna, she took the triplets and Sahara with her covered themselves at the corner of the room. Finally, Luna let out a bloodcurdling scream as she unleashes a blinding glow from her entire body hindering every Keepers' sight including Khalid's from some time.
"It's your chance, my love. You must go now!" Their mother exclaimed.
"Let me see my sister." Luna responded while crying.
"It's too late. Her head hit the ground so hard. She may not be able to recover from it." Her mother replied.
Luna held Adia's head and with her remaining glow, she tried to do what she did with their mother last night. In her surprise, what she's trying to do seem to work as she wants it to. Whatever's left of her glow slowly got transferred to Adia's body and moments later she gained. Adia started coughing some blood but it's apparent that she regained consciousness, the bleeding has stopped and the wound on her head closed.
"I knew you were the one who healed me. We owe our lives to you." Their mother announced as she hugged Luna tightly.
Luna couldn't believe it herself that she was the one who prevented the deaths of two of their family members and on top of that, she was able to heal them completely as if nothing happened to them in the first place. She couldn't help herself but to just be amaze and be scared at same time of her Anomaly and herself entirely. She snapped out of this trance she's in as her mother shook her back to reality.
"What in the world was that?" The leader of the Keepers exclaimed. "I can't see!"
"We can't either, boss!" One if the Keepers complained.
"Guys, where are you?" One other Keeper replied.
"You must go now while they're occupied. It's not safe for you here anymore. I can handle the rest here. Save yourself." Her mother said.
"But I can't. I don't want to leave you behind. You need my help caring for this family." Luna responded.
"Listen. It hurts my heart to think that we're going to away from each other but this is what we need to do. I'm all healed up now so I can handle it. We'll find you as soon as this situation died down. Now go! The effect of your Anomaly might wear out any time soon."
"I'll come and find you. Please take care of yourself. I love you, mom."
