As they entered the barracks, Reaper noticed other golden warriors doing their morning exercises in an open field even under the heavy rains. They all look so strong and intimidating that Reaper wouldn't want to fight any of them in a one-on-one battle especially their leader. Though he has this ominous feeling about their leader, he thinks that they all are dependable and trustworthy. They'll be a great asset if he'll be in their good graces.
"Let's go to my office." The leader of the golden warriors said. "I'll have you go back to where your friends at after I question you."
"I understand." Reaper replied.
The two eventually got to the leader's office. Due to them being soaked from the rain, the leader asked Reaper to sit on a chair to wait while he changes his clothes in his closet. He changed into what seemed to be their casual clothing with a generous touch of gold accessories. He was also holding one other pair of clothing along with extra accessories and asked to Reaper change as well to make himself comfortable. Reaper then took the clothes as she can't handle the chill he's feeling so he went into the closet to change.
"There you go. You're looking more like a local now." The leader greeted as Reaper revealed himself wearing their clothing. "Now sit down, boy. I've prepared some tea for us to make our innards feel warm."
Reaper is still in the dark on what the leader is thinking. The guy is hard to read for some reason. He seemed to have an intimidating exterior yet his aura is as warm as Au. As he looked at him better, he noticed that the two does look alike uncannily. Reaper glanced at the photo placed at the table and appeared to be a family picture of theirs. The photo revealed a happy family of the golden warrior leader, his beautiful wife, Au and Ginto. This confirmed that Au is the daughter of the leader of the golden warriors.
"I see you just realized that Au is my daughter. Isn't she as pure as the purest gold out there?" The leader asked proudly.
"She is, sir. She definitely is." Reaper responded.
"I'm glad we're on the same page about that. However, keep in mind that I won't let anyone taint her soul. I mean anyone. You know what I mean, right?" The leader became authoritative all of a sudden which also changed his aura to his more intimidating one. "So, don't even think to hit on her."
"Yes. I totally understand, sir. I'm glad we're all just friends. Don't worry about it, sir." Reaper replied.
"Glad to hear that but enough of that already and let's get into questioning shall we? I don't want to keep you here for too long."
"Thank you for understanding, sir."
"What were you doing out deep in the forest? You know you're not allowed there, right?"
"I'm really sorry, sir. But as I told you earlier, I only got curios as to what was happening since I've noticed a number of golden warriors stealthily heading towards the forest so I followed. It may not look like it but I might be able to help."
"Look, boy. You don't even know what we're up against so how did you come into conclusion that you're needed out there? We golden warriors are surely more than enough to handle the situation."
"So, what are you up against?"
"Our common enemy. The Cryptids. We don't know how many they are out there. Some say just only one but the majority of the villagers say otherwise."
"Apologies for me being too nosy but may I know if you really saw these cryptids with your own eyes?"
"There's always lurking at the corner of our eyes. Their presences are greatly felt at night and in the maze-like forest. It is believed that they are the ones who caused the disappearances of the crops across the island and also the disappearances of some villagers as well so that's why we're hell-bent in capturing them dead or alive."
"Do you know what they look like?"
"They may vary in appearances, or so our ancestors say, but we recently caught one and I can confidently say that it looks exactly like one of us"
"What?" Reaper exclaimed as he is somehow piecing the information he gathered one-by-one.
"You heard it right. That fact raised some more questions and weariness amongst us golden warriors. If those cryptids does look like regular people, there's no telling if they're already living in amongst us as well. That's why a number of us patrol the entire village all around the clock."
"I see. Where are you keeping this cryptid you caught? How did you know it's a cryptid?"
"Wait a minute. Why does it feel like you're the one questioning me when I'm supposed to be the one questioning you?"
"Oh, I'm very sorry. I didn't mean to be very intrusive, sir. I swear."
"Well, that's fine. I think we can wrap this up. It appears that you don't hold any grim ideas towards the village and I think you lot are good people. But, I guess I can answer those last questions for taking good care of my daughter during the celebration. She"
"Really? I'd greatly appreciate that."
"So, we're currently holding the captured cryptid at the shrine. Based on the lore from our ancestors, there's one cryptid in the name of Wahusikawa can make itself a doppelganger to do his evil biddings with it. One of the villagers saw this specific cryptid with a couple of others a few months ago deep in the forest and we were able to apprehend and catch him."
"I see. Thank you so much."
"That's that, boy. You go along now. I'll see you around."
"I'll see you around too, sir. Thank you again for your hospitality."
"My name is Chuma, by the way. It's nice to finally meet you."
"It's nice to meet you too, Sir Chuma. I'm Rea-"
"I know who you are. You're Reaper, right? The others are Glass, Beast and Surge."
"That's right, sir."
"You do realize that I don't buy that those are your real names, don't you?"
"Uh, I do."
"I won't dig deeper on that, boy. Don't worry. I'll just believe that there's a good reason why you don't want to use your real names here."
"We're grateful for that, sir."
"Look. As per the Elder's instructions, we'll let you stay here as long as you need to. However, I will not hesitate to end the four of you if you even think of harming this island and its people. Am I understood?"
"Understood!"
"Good to hear. Now, go."
Though Reaper was able to extract some information from Chuma, he was still left at the edge of his seat when the golden warrior leader showed how authoritative he can really be if wants and needs to. By that, Reaper respected the man greatly. He eventually went back to their hut to finish his shift in taking watch and standing guard. His current wardrobe may be outrageous than the ones he used to wear but he can't deny that it's very comfortable even with the numerous gold accessories dangling around.
"Why are you wearing the local's clothing? Where did you get that?" Beast asked as he prepare for his shift.
"It's a long story. We'll talk about that later in the morning." Reaper responded. "Good night."
"You're such a drag." Beast muttered to himself.
Unlike Reaper's shift, Beast's was very uneventful as it can be. All he can see is the peaceful village slowly being brightened up by the glorious rays of the sun as it revealed itself from the east. The grim atmosphere just the night before is slowly but steadily being washed away. Beast can only hear the rustling of the leaves from nearby trees from being swayed by the cold morning breeze, the chickens' early morning crowing and some of the village's early birds as they start sweeping their lawns and even the roads.
"Good morning, Beast!" Au greeted as she dropped by at the hut carrying what seemed to be a woven basket with a floral cloth covering its contents.
"Morning." Beast responded. "You're up early. What brought you here?"
"Here, I brought something to eat." Au replied cheerfully as she revealed that her basket is full of breakfast food.
"You didn't have to. You're too kind." Beast said.
"Don't mention it. I don't mind at all." Au commented. "Are the others awake already?" She asked.
"I don't think so but let me wake them up for you. Let's go inside." Beast invited.
Beast and Au were not that surprised to see that Surge, Glass and Reaper are still fast asleep. Au decided to let Beast wake them up as she headed to set their table. It wasn't that hard for him to wake Glass and Reaper unlike with Surge. Surge is complaining that he has a severe headache and body pains all over. This didn't faze Beast since he's adamant to wake them all up. He even transformed his arms into his gorilla arms to force Surge to wake up by carrying him and shaking him back and forth aggressively.
"I'm awake. I'm awake!" Surge shrieked and eventually threw up at the corner of their room.
"What is with that outfit of yours, Reaper?" Glass asked. "I guess you're settling fine in this place."
"Not really but this clothes sure is comfortable." Reaper replied.
"Hey. I want some change of clothes. Where can I get one?" Glass asked.
"We can ask Au. She's in the dining area." Beast said.
"Really? Why?" Glass asked.
"As I was saying, she brought us some breakfast so fix yourselves and head out to eat." Beast instructed.
"Breakfast. It's just exactly what I need." Glass commented.
They eventually got to the dining area and they were greeted by Au who is almost finished in setting their table. They were surprised that Au brought a surprisingly huge amount of food. She even brought some plates and utensils. Au then invited them to join her so they can enjoy all these homemade foods by her mother. Without any hesitations, Reaper and the others joined her to enjoy the feast-like breakfast she brought.
"Good morning, guys!" Au greeted. "Reaper, I see you already are wearing like a local. I see my father's clothes fit you nicely."
"That's true. Thank him again for me." Reaper replied.
"You met his dad? When? And why?" Glass asked.
"It's a long story. I'll share it over breakfast." Reaper responded.
"I didn't know you brought this much." Beast said.
"My mother and I didn't know what you would like so I brought as many as I can." Au responded.
"That's very thoughtful of you and your mother." Glass commented.
"It's our pleasure." Au said.
"Join us, Au. Let's eat." Reaper suggested.
"I'm good. I already ate at home. I'll just drink tea while you eat." Au replied.
"Au, do you have a hangover food?" Glass asked.
"Sure I do. I brought some mushroom soup. It's in that thermos over there." Au pointed out.
"Thank God!" Glass exclaimed. "Thank you too, Au."
The guys did enjoy their prosperous meal. After they finish eating, Au volunteered to clean up and Reaper offered to assist her. She also confirmed that she brought some extra clothes for them as well right at the bottom of her woven basket. The rest of them took some time to relax but then they've decided to go off to do some stuff on their own. Beast wanted to do some physical exercises so he headed to the outskirts of the village near the forest. Surge decided to explore the village further. Glass asked Au to escort him to the Elder to discuss their departure from the island. Finally, Reaper got himself to stay in their hut to make sense of what happened before he discuss them to the rest of them.
"Don't go too deep in the forest, Beast." Au reminded.
"Yeah. I heard you the first time." Beast replied and sprinted off.
"Don't cause any trouble, Surge." Glass said.
"I know. I know. See y'all later!" Surge responded then walked off. He was eventually greeted by a group of men and women from a distance. It appears that he already made some friends in only one night.
"That fool always surrounded by trouble. I wonder what he'll end up with at the end of the day." Glass commented.
"Don't worry about him too much, Glass." Au said. "We must leave ourselves. Bye, Reaper!"
"Bye, man. Are you sure you're fine staying in here?" Glass asked.
"I'm sure. I'll clean this hut good." Reaper replied. "I'll leave the Elder to you, man."
"Reaper." Glass whispered discreetly as he hugged Reaper. "I know you. You're hiding something from us. You take your time to sort whatever that is. We'll hear about that later today."
Reaper was surprised about the fact that Glass saw through him. He thought he's hiding the events from last night very well but he apparently failed. Glass and Au eventually took off and Reaper was left alone in the hut. He did manage to start cleaning the place while trying to recall everything that has happened. A lot of thoughts are strolling around his mind that he had to write them all down to make sure he'll not miss anything.
"I wonder what really happened last night." Reaper muttered to himself.
Meanwhile, Surge is enjoying himself with his new found friends as they roam around the village. The exciting and fun vibes they have seemed to shift when all talked about the cryptids. Though one of Surge's friend confessed that they're not comfortable talking about any topics regarding those enemies of theirs, they decided to bring him into the loop. He was told about the cryptid who can create a doppelganger of it and there seems to be more according to the legend.
"My father said he and his friends saw the Wahusikawa when they were teenagers in the forest and they said that they were chased by it and its doppelganger deep into the forest until they couldn't run anymore." One of Surge's friends said.
"Your father was lucky enough to survive that encounter. My grandfather wasn't as lucky. The story goes that he went to forage near the forest and he didn't come back. It is said that the cryptids got to him and spirited him away." Another friend shared.
"I bet that he vanished at the Whispering Meadow. Many reports say that most of the missing people were last seen there." One other friend pointed out.
"Whispering Meadow?" Surge asked.
"Whispering Meadow. That's a spot somewhere deep in the forest wherein if you listen close enough, you'll hear disembodied whispers. It is said that the whispers are coming from the eerie cave nearby. Due to the fear of the unknown, no one has ever gone deep inside that cave let alone go near it." A friend explained.
"You need to keep in mind that Wahusikawa isn't the one creating those whispers since that cryptid is believed to wander around the forest unlike the one that seemed to be fixed at the Whispering Meadow." A friend said.
Surge's friends confirmed that the cryptid believed to reside in the Whispering Meadow particularly in the cave in the area is referred to as Mnong'ono. From what the witnesses said, the whispers are from a voice of a woman so believe that this cryptid is a she. Mnong'ono is said to be responsible for the villagers' disappearances while Wahusikawa is the main suspect for the missing crops and tools in the island.
"That is creepy." Surge commented.
"This island's history sure is enveloped by mystery. That's why the Elder and the others are trying their best to maintain peace and order all this years." A friend replied.
"That's why going deep into the forest for whatever reason is best handled by the golden warriors. There's no telling what cryptid is lurking out there and what scheme they're plotting." Another commented.
"Wait. Do you mean there are other cryptids out there?" Surge asked.
"Yes, there are others. Some of which are Mwotaji who is believed to possess people who were tainted by trauma, Mchukuaji who is said to be taking children and one more known cryptid is called Roho Ya Kishetani who manifests when someone's rage is too much to contain and causes harm to the person who is the reason for that great anger. Once this cryptid is summoned, someone will end up gravely ill or worse." A friend shared.
"Aside from them, there are lesser known ones but the ones that are active from these recent times are Mnong'ono and Wahusikawa." Another friend pointed out.
Surge's thirst for fun and excitement may have been quenched but his thirst for combat is still there. He doesn't know why but it seemed to him that these cryptids have some logic and rationality behind them. With that thought in mind, he wanted to investigate this further but he realized that he must relay this information to Reaper and the rest of them so they would know what to do next. Before that, Surge decided to enjoy the rest of his morning with his friends.
On the other hand, Beast didn't realize it at first but he's also going to encounter something odd. While jogging along the forest, he didn't notice that he went deeper into the forest than he initially intended to be. He eventually ended up somewhere with no other individual in sight. His feet made him wander in the Whispering Meadow where Mnong'ono is believed to reside. Since he doesn't know the story behind this seemingly peaceful place, he continued to wander around and continued his exercise.
"This is a great spot to get active." Beast commented.
A sudden cold breeze swept the area which made him stop from his exercises. He immediately realized that someone or something is somewhere in the area with him but he couldn't see anyone or anything aside from the vast greens, the trees from a near distance and the mountain range peeking from afar. Then, he heard whispers from nearby but he couldn't fathom what's being said. The whispers appear to be from a woman in distress so he decided to search where they are coming from.
"Is anyone there?" Beast howled but no response was heard and the inaudible whispers continued to surround the area.
Beast started to walk cautiously towards where he thinks the whispers are originating from which is somewhere in the cave. He is gradually feeling that he's not alone in this meadow as if someone or something is watching him from somewhere. It's as if he's being spied at and his every move is being tabbed. However, he was stopped even before he can even enter the cave hidden by some eerie overgrown vines.
"Hey! You shouldn't be here." An intimidating voice of a man said from a distance. It appeared to be one of the golden warriors.
"Sorry. I didn't mean to wander to far from the village." Beast replied calmly. "Say, are you hearing those odd whispers?" He asked.
"Yes, so we must go now. It isn't safe here." One other golden warrior said.
It was odd for Beast seeing these two golden warriors not approaching him any further. It does appear that they are on high alert for some reason so he decided to approach them himself. Then, he was escorted back to safe area. After that, he noticed a number of golden warriors were heading back to where they were as discreetly as they can. This behavior is similar to what Reaper witnessed last night.
Beast has decided to see this event through so he went to some alleyway where no one can see him then he transformed into an animal common in the island to raise no suspicions while snoop around. He decided to transform into a monkey. The monkey's puny physique can be utilized to course through the obstacles on his way back to the meadow as easily as possible. As he expected, no suspicions were raised from the villagers or even other patrolling golden warriors in the area.
But in a very odd stroke of luck, he noticed two kids happily playing around a wooded area. They were a boy with a strange birth mark on his head that is somehow similar to some of his tattoos and a girl with a very long braided hair very like what her sister's favorite hairstyle as a child. He decided to watch them for a while as they remind him of when he and his sister were young with no other care in the world but to just have fun.
He may already realized that his sister is not who she once was but he still refuses to believe that she's become what she is today. The untimely and brutal death of their entire tribe may have been caused by Thana but he couldn't help to take all the blame on himself. He believes that leaving their homeland caused Thana a lot of stress that pushes her beyond her limits causing her to do such gruesome actions.
It appeared that Beast's curiosity about the whispers he heard earlier died down as he found the children playing along is more entertaining and more fulfilling so he eventually forgot about that. One time, the boy got tangled along some branches for some reason and the girl seemed to be struggling helping him out so he decided to help them out while in his monkey form. Eventually, he decided to play along with them for some time while still transformed which made the kids happier.
While Beast is having a fun time with the children, Glass is about to face what he believes to be one of his hardest fights yet. Not a literal physical fight but more of a mental one as he's going to face the Elder to discuss ways on how they can leave the island. The Elder may ooze off warm aura like the rest of the villagers which made him as approachable as he can be but the idea having a serious conversation with the one who runs an entire village had Glass feeling queasy yet competitive at the same time. These kinds of challenge are his cup of tea.
"Glass, you look pale. Are you feeling fine?" Au asked.
"I'm feeling great! I'm brimming with excitement actually." Glass responded which is half the truth as he's becoming more and more nervous somehow.
"I must let you know Glass that it's not that easy for us to get an appointment with Elder on the spot. Normally, we must request for it days prior but I think I can do something about it since you're one of our honored guests."
"Oh, you're talking about your father. I see where you're getting at and I appreciate that."
"I'm just hoping he's in his office so he or at least one other high ranking golden warrior to escort us to the Elder's chambers."
Due to the incident at the Whispering Meadow from earlier, some of the golden warriors in the barracks have been dispatched so Au and Glass was able to get to Au's father's office like a walk in a park. The golden warrior leader understood the request so he escorted Au and Glass to the Elder's chambers. With the leader of the golden warriors by their side they got to their destination easily and they were accommodated by the Elder and his attendants.
"I appreciate you accompanying our guest here, Chuma." The Elder greeted.
"It's my pleasure, Elder." Chuma replied. "Au, let's leave them be."
"See you around, Glass." Au said.
"I didn't know I was going to be left here alone." Glass muttered to himself. "Oh, well. I guess I got this in the bag."
"So, what brings you here?" The Elder asked cheerfully.
Glass told the Elder what he came in for but his thoughts were immediately crashed as the Elder adamantly reminded him that no one has ever successfully got out of the island unless they wanted to end up missing or even worst so he encourage them to stay in the island for good which was strongly declined by Glass. He also pointed out the danger of cryptid attacks. A number of possible ways to get out of the island has been raised by Glass but the Elder has something to backfire it with making the idea to crumble.
"With all due respect, sir. Why do I have a feeling that you just want to keep us all here?" Glass asked.
"That's not it. I just want you to realize that the ocean surrounding this island is way beyond treacherous. Wanting to go across that is imminent death." The Elder pointed out.
"We faced that same treacherous ocean going here and we survived, didn't we?" Glass replied.
"But that was an accident. You just got lucky. We don't want you to take those chances." The Elder responded. "Besides, no one here wants you to leave so soon or leave for good. You're welcome here and it appears you're enjoying it here especially that Surge lad."
"It's true that this place is amazing and it's a great place to live in but we have someplace else to be and there are people who are waiting and possibly looking for us."
"I understand. Well, then. To make you feel that I'm not keeping you in our prosperous island, I'll ask Chuma to have some personnel build you a boat so you have the means to leave this place. But keep in mind that I won't risk any of my people's lives so once that's done, it's all up to you on heading to the ocean."
"That's good enough, sir. I greatly appreciate your help."
After accomplishing what Glass came in for, he went back to their hut to share this promising news to Reaper and to the rest of them. Glass stumbled upon Surge who happened to be going back to their hut as well so they went together. While they're on their way, a wild monkey appeared right in front of them and climbed to Glass shoulder. They immediately realized that it was Beast as all of his transformation somehow resembles his features. As soon as they arrived, they were greeted by Reaper who seemed to just finish cleaning the entire place.
"It's so shiny in here!" Surge exclaimed.
"I didn't know you have a knack for household chores." Glass commented.
"Not at all. Having myself physically busy helps my gears think better." Reaper responded.
"It looks alright." Beast commented.
"Now, huddle up. I have news for you." Glass announced.
"I also want to share to you something. I learned a thing or two in the streets about those cryptids every the villagers are talking about." Surge said.
"That's nice. Let's hear that as well later on." Glass replied.
"How about you, Beast? Did you encounter something odd while you're outside?" Reaper asked.
"I might have but my mind may just be playing tricks on me." Beast responded.
"Let's hear it anyway but let's start with Glass first. The floor is yours, Glass." Reaper said.
The guys gathered around to share their thoughts and to eventually decide on what they have to do next. First, Glass confirmed that the Elder gave his blessings in helping them create a vessel so they can leave the place and hopefully reunite with the Professor and the others even though they don't know where they should be headed. Next, Beast shared his experienced at the meadow which backed up by Surge with the stories he heard from the streets. Finally, Reaper confirmed that he may have an encounter with these so called cryptids the night prior.
"Well, this is an eventful day." Surge commented.
"You bet it is! Good thing that we won't stay here for long. Those cryptid troubles won't bother us any further." Glass commented.
"Aren't you curious what those can really be? I am." Reaper pointed out.
"Curious or not those are just myths created by the villagers to scare their kids. We all know that isn't true." Beast said.
"Is that what you really believe? You and I both heard the same whispers from the same cave." Reaper responded.
"I said I might have heard something but I also believe that my mind was just playing tricks on me. I think it's the fatigue. I was working out earlier." Beast commented.
"I highly doubt that. You of all people won't get fatigued that easily." Reaper said.
"Why do you want to uncover this cryptid thing really bad, Reaper?" Glass asked. "I think there's something you're not telling us."
"Are you hiding something from us, Reaper? Come on, man. Spill it." Surge encouraged.
"It's not that I'm hiding something. It's just that I'm not sure about it yet so it doesn't feel right if I'm going to jump into conclusions unless I can look into it further." Reaper explained.
"I see. But do tell us. We might help you check on it." Glass replied.
Reaper recalled everything that happened the night before to weigh in his thoughts further. As the heavy rains poured in on them while he's wandering in that eerie forest just to the Whispering Meadow, he found himself standing in front of an eerie cave as he continuously hearing inaudible whispers of a woman. Without him knowing, he instinctively tried to sense if there's an Anomaly hiding deep in the caves but he can confirm for sure due to the heavy rains. Before he can venture deep in the cave, he was found by the golden warriors and escorted back to the village.
"Wait. So, are you saying that these so called cryptids are actually Anomalies like us?" Glass asked.
"No way!" Surge exclaimed. "That might make sense is I understand the situation better."
"You're hopeless, Surge. What they're trying to say is that those cryptids who everyone believed to be supernatural and even mythical beings are just actually Anomalies like us who were drove in the corner and didn't have any chose but to leave the village and spend the rest of their lives deep in the forest." Beast explained.
"Oh, I see." Surge replied in agreement.
"What actually gave it away from is that Sir Chuma said that the Anomaly they caught looks exactly like a normal person and their concern of those cryptids infiltrating the village without them knowing." Reaper commented.
"So, have they been living inside the village? Did you sense any Anomalies sine we got here?" Glass asked.
"I haven't sensed any Anomalies at least not in the village." Reaper replied.
"Are you saying that you've sensed someone outside the village?" Beast asked. "You know it would be best if you cut to the chase now."
"I know. I'm sorry. It's just that I'm still now that certain yet." Reaper responded. "But yeah, I sensed something back at that cave. Yet again, I'm not completely sure. That why I want to look into it further."
"While we're on the topic, I want to also say that I just realized that the abilities of these cryptids that I heard are very much Anomaly-like." Surge commented. "Hear this. One cryptid which I made aware of what's the name of but I completely forgot can possess other human beings. There's another who can summon some creature of some sort to harm others. I believe there are others but I totally forgot about them."
"You're actually right!" Reaper exclaimed. "Those so called cryptids have some oddly similar abilities to an Anomaly. I'm not sure if you heard this one other cryptid. I believe they call it Wahusikawa."
"I heard of that." Surge replied.
"The one they call Wahusikawa can create doppelganger of itself and it sounds awfully like what Twice can do, right?" Reaper asked.
"You don't mean Twice is here, do you?" Glass asked. "How can he end up here after everything's that happened?"
"Not just Twice but some of the others as well." Reaper corrected.
"But that doesn't make sense. We've concluded that our comrades were taken by the Coven and for some reason working for them like what happened to Feral." Beast said.
"The problem is that Sir Chuma confirmed that they've caught this Wahusikawa character already and being held at the Shrine." Reaper pointed.
"The Shrine you say? The very place that is off-limits to the rest of the village?" Beast responded
"Am I thinking what I believe you'll be trying to do?" Surge asked.
"You're right. Although it's illegal in this this village's law, we're going to break into the Shrine somehow." Reaper confirmed.
"Now that's what I'm talking about!" Surge exclaimed in excitement.
"I guess that's settled it then. We will help Reaper investigate these cryptids to confirm our speculations." Glass confirmed.
All of a sudden, a series of knocks were heard from the door which taken them aback causing them to become silent as a rock. They looked at each other trying to convince each of them who'll open the door and check on it. Glass decided to get up and check the door. While walking towards it, the knocks became more aggressive and it appeared that someone is now banging the door aggressively. Nevertheless, Glass had to see what's happening.
