With a shattered heart and worn out soul, hanging by the shots of painful human side effects, Darwin sat down in a terrain on top of cliff with his legs hanging on the edges. Bathe in the shower of moonlight pouring down his sad and lonely world. He looked up with cloudy eyes. His lips half open as he embraced the soft gush of wing brushing through his skin.
Behind him is the lifeless body of Hubert, covered in amber crystal. Protected from weather and time.
"What am I supposed to do?", Darwin whispered.
He shut his eyes once again and thought about Stephen. He touched the markings that Stephen tattooed on his skin. As he brushed his fingertips across it, a bluish white light beamed behind its lines. He thought of something like communicating him with it but he doesn't know how.
"Was he always like this?", Keith broke off the sentiment.
"What do you mean?", Darwin replied without looking at him.
"Oh come on Vampy, look", Keith scratched his head at Darwin's response.
Darwin looked behind him through his shoulders but then forced to fully turn his attention towards Hubert.
"Oh no", Darwin bit his lips and frowned.
Hubert's body slowly rotting from the venom of Erickson's spear. His skin, slowly deteriorating and decaying from the surface. And veins started protruding from his face.
"Why'd you encase him in crystal anyway?", Keith looked at Darwin with a frown on his face.
"Do you honestly think I have the magical attributes to do so? His body probably has a self preserving mechanism in case he dies", Darwin rolled his eyes on him.
"He did protected himself from weather and time. Yet he forgot that he's been killed from the inside", Keith leaned down and checked the crystal surrounding Huberts small body.
"So ridiculous how the Harbinger of Death actually died", Keith gave Darwin a silly smile.
"But he's not actually dead, is he?", Darwin asked him back.
"Few hours ago he wasn't but few hours from now, he will, definitely", Keith answered without looking at him.
Darwin looked back at the sheet of water silently rolling below him. Frustrations and fear started building inside him. The fear of losing Hubert is something he cannot take.
"Keith...", Darwin's voice whispered like air.
"Vampy?", Keith replied.
"Turn me", Darwin proposed.
"Into what? Fairy?" Keith looked at him with a weird face.
"Idiot...I was just thinking if you can turn me into something more", Darwin turned to look at the waters again.
Keith let out a sigh before dusting his shirt off and sat down beside him. He stretched his arms across Darwin's shoulders.
"So you think I am something more now?", Keith whispered with a husky voice.
"What are you doing? Of course not", Darwin gave him a weird look.
"What? Yuh 'coz you want me to turn you into something like me", Keith boasted.
"Would that be possible? I just needed some power so I can take Stephen back", Darwin replied nonchalantly.
Keith pulled his arms back and rested in on his legs. He leaned backward and crossed his legs looking at Darwin on his back.
"My attributes will only batt with your Valhr blood so instead of turning you it will only deteriorate your body", Keith twitched his lips.
"Guess not", Darwin sighed and looked down at the waves below him.
"Why do you want me inside you? We can do it right now", Keith stuck his tongue out and let out a sassy snicker. He playfully brushed Darwin's hair from his back.
"Ew! Keith! You're disgusting!", Darwin laughed at his face. He smacked his arms and they shared laughter.
"You look beautiful as always", Keith leaned forward and rested his elbows above his legs. Checking Darwin's face.
"Of course, I'm a legend", Darwin gave him a silly smile.
"Though I admit, I feel kinda jealous with that bounty hunter. He's into you", Keith looked away.
Darwin looked up at the thought of Stephen again. He ran his fingers across the mark again.
"Who? Stephen? Nah. He only wanted to kill me", Darwin laughed at his words.
Keith let out a deep sigh and dusted his shirt off. He jumped off the cliff which shocked Darwin.
"Hey! Idiot!", Darwin's jaws dropped as he looked down. But Keith flew past above him before he could even move his eyes.
Keith looked at him with a squinting eyes. His skin glowing smoothly at the touch of the moonlight and his eyes glowing purple in the mist of the night.
"Let's fly. As your friend I cannot bear watching you sad and lonely. It drags down your beauty. I'm taking this opportunity to make fun with you because once you'll withdraw your vampirism I know we won't have a decent moment like this. So come with me", Keith gave him a smile and offered his hands.
"Since when did you have those wings?", Darwin pulled himself up and dusted his shirt off.
"I'm a chimera, I can have multiple creatures running my body", Keith laughed at him.
"But I can't actually pull my wings off. You know, another charming human side effects", Darwin just laughed at him.
Keith rolled his eyes at him. He gestured his hands towards him.
"Jump", Keith said with a smile.
"What?" Darwin answered in confusion.
"I said jump, are you dumb now?" Keith laughed at his face.
"I cannot die now", Darwin threw his middle finger at him.
In a blink of an eyes Keith dashed forward and embraced Darwin before they fall off the cliff. Darwin shut his eyes as Keith's laughter tickled his spines.
"You won't die immortal!", Keith threw him away from and just laughed at his face.
Darwin's face dropped in shock as he let out a hilarious scream with his body flipping in the air.
In a sudden, lighting struck him in an instant. His body attracted bolts of electricity as he flipped. His body glowed at the lightning struck.
"Oh hell no!", Keith rolled down towards him in a flash catching him in his arms. He checked Darwin's face and it was glowing like crystals.
"You ok Vampy?", He asked with concern.
"Lighting struck? Spell vamp", Darwin just rolled his eyes and extended his arms again. Keith's eyes widened as he realised something.
A tunnel of lighting showered upon them in a split second. Keith screamed in pain as Darwin laugh at him. His wings covered in embers as they both landed on the surface below them. He smacked Darwin's head with his elbow.
"What the hell was that?!", Keith threw his hands in the air. His body scorching at the lighting struck.
"You did it first!", Darwin stuck his tongue at him.
Keith gave him a narrow look before flickering behind Darwin and locked him up. He gave him a raspy snicker as he playfully blew his nape.
"Fuck...my love is enough for you to be grateful Vampy. I could have killed you by now", Keith whispered.
In a flash, Darwin flipped him back and grabbed him by his neck. He gave Keith a taunting look.
"Too bad my feeling's aren't the same with you", He shift to his side and smashed Keith forward. But he flipped back and gain his balance.
"GOD I like you so much", Keith licked his tongue and dashed forward to Darwin. He grabbed his arms and pinned him down the ground with his back and face almost hitting the ground. Keith let out a deep moan.
"Get off me idiot!", Darwin snapped his head hitting Keith's face behind him. He laughed it his face when he pulled back again.
"Ughhh harsh, why'd you do that?", Keith threw his arms at him in defeat. He covered his nose with his left hand to stop the bleeding.
Darwin walked towards him with a concerned look. His face in shock watching Keith whimpered in pain.
"Hey, you ok?", He held Keith's arm and brushed his hands across his shoulder trying to comfort him. He felt sorry for his actions.
Keith sat down whimpering at the pain. Darwin sat down beside him.
"I'm sorry I went overboard", Darwin looked away.
"That feels like hitting a ton of steel", Keith coughed at the blood in his mouth.
"Here, take this", Darwin pulled his sleeve and bit his wrist to let the blood flow down.
"No no, not that", Keith shrugged his arms away.
"Why? It will help you heal", Darwin offered his hand again.
"Just do it like the way you did with the small one", Keith looked at him with a sassy look.
Darwin smacked his head.
"Then die idiot!", He laughed at Keith's face.
"Just kidding, hey! Give me that blood", Keith grabbed his shirt and dragged him back beside him.
He leaned forward and put his mouth at Darwin's wrist. Darwin let out a deep moan looking up as Keith sucked his blood. He grabbed Keith's hair and pulled him back.
"That should be enough", Darwin smacked his forehead as he leaned backward.
"You do taste good, fuck", Keith dusted his shirt off as his wounds and burns started healing.
All of a sudden a sharp pitch rocked the open and air and almost fried their brains. They both fell down to their knees as the sound penetrated deep into their ears then to their minds. Blood started streaming down their eyes, ears and nose.
The sound halted and they got the chance to regain their composure.
"Hubert", Darwin whispered,
"We should go back now", Keith grabbed pushed Darwin and locked him in an embrace from his back and pulled his wings off.. They ascended the ground in a rushing speed.
Something horrible surprised them at the scene..
