"Long time ago. There are 4 kinds of living being who live and managed the earth. They are the Mages, Wizards and witches, Fairies, Human and Demons. They lived together peacefully. Until one day, a human being was found dead. From that day on. The number of human kept on minimizing. The humans protested. They are furious. And they pointed out that the demons are the ones to blame. The peacefully lives before became chaos. Though the humans are the only one who doesn't have powers. Still they are brave and strong so they manage to capture and kill all the demons. After killing the demons. The humans are not satisfied and felt selfish. They said, we are mythical creatures and we will disturb peace. So the humans tried to kill the mages, wizards, witches and fairies too. But we fought and fought, trying to survive against the humans. But the humans came prepared, they had their weapons and groups. Thirsty for their own freedom. Then there is a demon couple who fight for their love and family. They are the only demon who survived the fight against the humans. The couple created a new world where no human can get through. Though it is still here at earth. But no human can see it. But the couple has never been found since we found our own peace without the humans. There we found Sec Daymon. The true last demon. Lord Stefan adopted him and made him act like a mage instead of a mage. We suspect that Sec Daymon was the couple's child but he won't said a word about his family. So the demon, mages, wizards, witches, and fairies lived all together here at our own fantasy world. Soon, that fantasy world became what we call now, Acability. Which Lord Stefan ruled" Clair told me when we sat at the floor. She even had a little presentation with her flames.
"Awww. That's really a sad story. Are humans really that bad. But… I lived at the human world. Does that mean I'm your enemy? But how did I got here? It doesn't make any sense. I still don't have an ability. So that really means I'm a human" I said in frustration.
"Chill girl, I believe that you're not those kinds of humans. But that history was a long time ago. Now, we live in the human world too. We just hide our true identity. Then we study here at Acability to master out ability and to secure our safety too. But if you do find or have your ability… Maybe… you're not really a human. So relax and don't think too much about it. Go to sleep my little Alyxia" Clair smiled at me. As she said, I went to my bed. What if she is right? What if I'm not really a human. Ah dang it! I will just sleep this thought off.
Morning came and to my surprise, I actually woke up early. I think I'm getting a hang of this time system here at Acability.
My class starts at 9 and I have a meeting at the council at 7 so I fixed myself and went out the room. I saw Clair and Reign was still sleeping so before I left, I left them a letter at their bedside.
I walk and explore Acability. This is the first time that I didn't ran in tension just to catch up class. I even skipped, feeling myself free and happy. I left the witches lair and now I'm heading to the wizards lair.
"Hey there" someone greeted me at my back. I immediately recognized the voice and turned around to greet him too.
"Morning, Anthony" I smiled at him.
"Morning. You seem extra happy today, huh" he smiled back.
"Yeah. It's my first time to wake up this early since I got here at Acability" I said.
"Hahaha. So where are you going" he asked.
"I'm heading to the council" I replied.
"The council?" he asked and examined my uniform.
"I didn't know that you're a part of tge council. Congratulations to you. I guess everyone will pay you extra respect from now on" he said without removing that smile of his.
"Hahaha. I hope so too"
"Hey, I can give you a ride if you want to" he suggested.
"No thanks, Anthony. Besides I got used to walking through tis long path just to arrive at the mages lair" I said and let out a laugh.
"Huh? But why do you have to walk here at the wizards lair if you could just go to the shortcut" he said.
"What shortcut?" I asked confusedly.
"As I remember, if you are at the witches lair, you have to turn right to enter the wizards lair once you get to the witches lair entrance. You just have to turn left and then you'll arrive at mages lair in just 2 minutes" he explained.
"Really? That's a good help, Anthony. Thank you very much. I didn't know that there's a shortcut" I said.
"Haven't you see the school map?" he asked.
"Nope" I answered and laughed. I think I need to read all the documents Stefan gave me.
"Thanks again, Anthony" I smiled at him.
"No problem, Aly. Do you still need a ride. I insist on giving you one" he said and grabbed his broom.
"I appreciate that, Anthony. But I think I'll stick to walking at try the shortcut you just said" I said and waved him goodbye. He waved back and I saw his smile vanished when I turned around. I really need to pay him back one day. He has been a good friend to me. He always help me when I'm in need.
I reached the entrance of the witches lair and turned right as what Anthony told me. He was right, there is a shortcut and I arrived the mages lair in only 2 minutes.
I headed to the council. Everybody is already there.
"Ready for your first task, child?" Stefan asked and smiled at me.
"I think so" I replied and smiled back awkwardly.
