The echo core that is formed deep within a creature is a unique aspect that is inherently formed by the natural energy of the world, so if one would want to extract it, then it would have to involve a special method rather than just opening up the creature and finding it within its body. If one were to do it this way, then some of the preserved natural energy within the echo core would become lost and would largely degrade in value.
Noctis clearly didn't want this to happen, so he went with the special method that he knew of. He closed his eyes and focused his mind as he locked on to the echo core deep within the Silver Dire Wolf's body. Instead of circulating his qi essence throughout his body, he circulated the natural energy of the world and had fine-tuned it in a way that was in perfect synergy with the natural energy that was stored in the echo core.
This was in order to get a reaction from the echo core and to draw it out in a way that didn't need to be forcefully taken out. Noctis injected this natural energy into the Silver Dire Wolf's body and a moment later, it was able to find the echo core. The next thing that happened became a spontaneous occurrence, as if there were multiple strands that had intertwined and formed due to the natural energy between the echo core and from Noctis.
Noctis lightly smiled and then slowly retracted his palm because he had become successful. The echo core from deep inside the Silver Dire Wolf's body became transparent and had left the large beast's body as if it was moving according to Noctis's movements. Soon, the echo core finally appeared in front of Noctis while it was floating directly above the dead Silver Dire Wolf!
Noctis grabbed the echo core and closely observed it, but didn't find anything remarkable about it. It was a round object that didn't even fill up his entire palm, but it looked like as if there were certain engravings on the side. It was somewhat translucent and Noctis was able to vaguely see the strands of natural energy that was condensed inside of it.
He looked away and decided to put it away, but then he realized that he didn't even have anywhere to store it!
Noctis furrowed his brows and was about to temporarily drop it on the ground, but Spirit Ster's voice had appeared within his mind once again,
"Hahaha kid, you're thinking about storing that echo core somewhere right? It's a good thing that you have me and the Fallen Space-Time Chasm! I'm not even sure if others know about it, but there's actually a hidden function to it… and it's all because of me! The Fallen Space-Time Chasm could actually be used as a storage space item! You didn't hear me wrong… it will be very convenient for you in your journey hahaha…" |
"It could be used as a storage item? That is indeed quite useful… how do I access it then?" Noctis exclaimed in surprise and had replied to Spirit Ster regarding its use.
"Before you ask me, I will tell you right now that it doesn't have unlimited space to it… and only small and inanimate things could be placed in it, so don't expect that you can place an entire damn creature inside of it! If you want to place the echo core inside the Fallen Space-Time Chasm, just hold it in your hand or something and then make contact with the Fallen Space-Time Chasm deep within your sea of subconscious… at that point, just tell it to go inside. I don't know how to explain it, but you should be able to figure this damn thing out yourself since you have become its owner, so it should be simple!" |
Spirit Ster cut off the spiritual sense between them, and Noctis couldn't help but give out a wry smile towards Spirit Magi as it was peacefully floating and moving around the campfire. Shortly after, Noctis followed Spirit Ster's method and had closed his eyes before making contact with the Fallen Space-Time Chasm in his sea of subconsciousness.
He noticed that the strange imprint on the object hadn't fully disappeared yet, but he didn't think about this for too long before he thought about the storage use. He 'told' the Fallen Space-Time Chasm to transfer the echo core in his hand inside of it for storage… and almost an instant later, he felt that the echo core from his hand had disappeared and that it actually appeared inside the Fallen Space-Time Chasm!
Noctis couldn't believe that it had worked and was actually quite simple!
He thought to himself that there's probably a lot more things that he didn't know about regarding himself and the things around him… such as the Fallen Space-Time Chasm, Grand Celestial Elemental physique, and Spirit Magi and Spirit Ster…
Noctis opened his eyes and continued where he left off after receiving the echo core from the dead Silver Dire Wolf. He skinned the large beast and tore off some of its bare meat before heating it up on the campfire. An hour or so had passed and he finally restored enough energy thanks to eating the meat from the Silver Dire Wolf's body and drinking from the nearby river stream.
He was finally ready to enter the Insight World once again!
Noctis didn't know how long he would be in there, but one thing he definitely needed to do was to check out the 'Qi Essence' building and anything else in the vicinity! If Spirit Magi's words were true, then he had at most a few to couple minutes or so, and that several hours would pass in the real world, which would be morning by then.
["The first time you entered the Insight World was when you were able to complete Old Great One Animo's inheritance and had bridged a connection between your mind and body. If you want to enter into the Insight World again, you would need to deeply focus within the center of your body and locate your Grand Celestial Elemental physique. After you find it, follow the 'bridge' that was formed which would lead into a specific part within your mind. This is the only way to do so because otherwise that specific part inside your mind would naturally be inaccessible…"]
Noctis looked towards Spirit Magi and nodded in response to its words because he felt that the spirit knew what his thoughts were like and that he was going to eventually ask.
Noctis sat down and closely followed Spirit Magi's instructions. He was able to not only find the energy source that was from his Grand Celestial Elemental physique, but also the bridge that was linked with it. He relaxed himself and followed this bridge as he felt like the energies throughout his body were steadily surging upwards… A little while later, he felt that he had reached a specific area within his mind, but before he was able to do anything else, he felt his entire state was being lifted off towards the highest heavens!
The next thing that he was able to perceive was that he had reached the Insight World again!
Noctis didn't worry about anything else before he quickly moved. He realized that he appeared at the same place as last time before he was expelled out, so he luckily didn't have to move much further before he was able to clearly see the 'Qi Essence' building. Rather than calling it a building, it was more accurate to say that it was a grand temple with an ancient feeling to it!
It was a large and impressive spectacle and looked as if it was carved out of an extremely rare material because it not only had a very unique look to it, but it emitted light in an imposing way. Noctis moved closer and arrived in front of a beautiful large golden double-door with various meticulous designs on it. He was about to walk right up to it and open it, but the golden double-door mysteriously opened by itself!
Noctis raised his eyebrows in surprise, but didn't think much of it before he moved inside and followed a path to a single spacious hall. He became quite surprised because he noticed a huge contrast between the outside and inside appearances… The inside of the grand temple was quite subtle and simplistic, but it didn't have much of anything. The only thing that was inside were five tall pillars with a strange stone tablet on top of each of them.
Noctis became quite puzzled and observed these pillars before he discovered that there was something different about the far-left pillar. He realized that there was actually a bar of light that was coming out from the bottom of it!
Noctis moved closer to this far-left pillar and made contact with it, but as soon as he did, a strange reaction happened. He had no idea what was going on before all of a sudden, he had comprehended some insight knowledge of the 'Qi Essence' insight! Noctis was momentarily dazed before he looked straight back at the pillar and noticed that the bar of light actually increased to the point where it was half-way to the middle.
Noctis widened his eyes in shock because he had a thought in his mind upon realizing the function of these pillars… He theorized that these five pillars are most likely representations of his progress according to his comprehension towards the 'Qi Essence' insight, which means that the far-left pillar represented the 'Initial' stage of the insight!
It was widely known that the 12 Prime Insights contained five total stages if one wanted to completely understand and master them. They were the initial, low, middle, high, and peak stages, and each advancement was a qualitative leap that was leagues beyond the previous one! Since each stage advancement was a qualitative leap, then it was obvious that it became much harder to comprehend the next stages… an individual would have to rely on their talent in comprehension, gain large amounts of resources, and find some lucky chances!
It is also known that cultivation base and insight were directly correlated with one another, which means that if one comprehended a higher stage of insight, then their cultivation base would definitely rise!
Noctis couldn't help but reveal a cheerful smile on his face because he thought to himself that the Old Great One Animo's inheritance certainly lived up to its all-mighty name.
He touched the 'Initial' stage pillar again but didn't receive anything in return, so he thought it was probably the limit during this visit due to his cultivation base. He didn't become dejected though because he was able to think of a clever idea in his mind, which made him exit out of the 'Qi Essence' grand temple.
Noctis thought that this condition probably wasn't the same for the other prime insights that was within the Insight World!
He hurriedly looked around the surrounding area and discovered that there was another grand temple not too far away from the 'Qi Essence' temple. Noctis got closer to it and noticed the name that was engraved on top of the temple, which read 'Berserk Might.'
"!!!"
Noctis widened his eyes and felt like his emotions went through a major upheaval as his heart was starting to beat rapidly. This was because this insight was known as one of the strongest in the 12 Prime Insights!
He didn't think about anything else before he arrived in front of the golden double-doors, waited for it to open, and then rushed inside! He felt that he didn't have much time left, which is why he bolted towards the far-left pillar within the 'Berserk Might' grand temple. Only a few minutes had passed since he entered into the Insight World and he had already gotten great benefits by being able to easily comprehend more into the 'Qi Essence' insight.
If he was able to comprehend a little bit of the 'Berserk Might' insight before he gets expelled out, then it would be all worth it! This trip to the Insight World would be very advantageous for him because not only would it increase his cultivation base, but it would directly amplify his strength and solidify his foundation!
When one thought about the 'Berserk Might' insight, they would think about 'dominant power' or 'supreme strength' because it was indeed directly related to these words! If one was able to comprehend the 'Berserk Might' insight, then one would be able to evenly fight against a higher level than their own! It was at a point that if someone had reached a certain stage in comprehension towards the 'Berserk Might' insight, then that person would even be able to fight against an entire realm above theirs! It was a completely difficult task to even reach the initial stage for it, and it was even more true to those that wanted to advance in a stage.
It is also known in the entire Dawnfire World that nobody had ever reached the peak stage of the 'Berserk Might' insight!
Noctis closed his eyes and was able to make contact with the 'Initial' stage pillar, but something way different had happened compared to the reaction he had received from inside the 'Qi Essence' grand temple!
He felt his mind become overwhelmed with various insight knowledge and that a peerless aura had descended against his body!
BOOM!
Noctis couldn't help but roughly kneel down against the hard ground due to this intense pressure, and also felt a sharp stinging pain run course throughout his body. It wasn't a constant pain that he was normally used to, but rather it was in a weird timed interval! One second he didn't feel pain at all, but then the next second, he felt pain that started from his feet and had almost instantly moved its way up to his head!
He felt his mind was about to lose consciousness again, which was extremely strange since he was already inside the Insight World and wasn't controlling his real body!
Noctis withstood the intense pressure and pain for what seemed like a long time before it suddenly disappeared. He opened his eyes and was able to see that the 'Initial' stage pillar had a small light bar coming from the bottom of it… he had become successful!
He didn't get to enjoy this sight for too long because a strange light started to cover his entire body… it was finally time for him to be expelled out!

Morning had arrived.
Noctis stabilized his mind back into a normal state and opened his eyes in the real world before he stood up out of excitement!
