While outside, Randan and the others were still killing the last Nightwalkers, inside Roschar's cave, another picture was seen.
Roschar's legs looked better after Schajana treated them, but the atmosphere was still suffocating.
Galia looked terrible and Rosch saw that. He went to her and picked he up. He went into the back where Silvana was treating Gorker and Kulnara.
"R... Rosch what are you doing?", Galia asked weak and quietly. She had given birth not to long ago and couldn't sleep at all since then. Now she got her mother back and should be happy. She should have fallen asleep already, but Rosch saw that something was still bugging her. She needed rest. The children didn't even drink once from her since the birth. Galia isn't able to produce milk, even though she did so before the birth. Everything came from Thulpina or Aria till now. She must be under extreme stress right now and Rosch wanted to know why.
"Let's go to your mother's bed and then tell me what is going on. You look terrible, almost sick. I am worried.", Rosch suddenly said with the outmost caring voice she ever heard from him.
Rosch had only the war in his head right now and didn't look after his females lately. Only now, were he had to rest, did he see how bad Galia looked and Thulpina didn't look like the usual self either. He needed to do something about that.
They arrived and saw Silvana exiting the room. She was surprised for a moment, but smiled after a while.
"Your mother looks good, like I said before. She needs food and much rest. The rest comes with time.", Silvana said with a smile as she looked at Galia.
"Gorker on the other hand was in a critical state. I thought he would die, but after treating Kulnara, before Gorker came in, I saw the benefits of putting someone into a sleep like state. I tried to do that with Gorker and it worked. He survived the operation, but now I don't know how to wake him up. I released the spell and he should at least blink or be awake for a short while, but nothing happened. He is in a deep sleep like state. It seems as if he needs to wake up by himself, with his own power.", Silvana said looking at Rosch.
Rosch was shocked and a bit depressed, but he remembered the flash of light in Gorker's eyes before he lost consciousness.
Rosch then started to smile.
" It's okay, as long as he is alive nothing else matters. He will wake up. I know it. ", He said, while walking into the room Silvana came from.
He walked to the chair between the two beds, where Gorker and Kulnara lay.
He helped Galia to sit on the chair and looked deeply into her eyes.
She knew he wanted to know everything and Galia wasn't able to hold herself back for long.
"I... I am scared. I have my mother back, but.... But what about Gorker. If he wakes up, he and mother..... Won't they see me as a bad dream of the past. The child of the one, who almost ripped those two apart. The child of the one, who killed Gorker's children and females. I am in there way. ", Galia started slowly, but cried stronger and with that she spoke faster and faster. At the end only some sobbing noises were heard.
Rosch was surprised and didn't know she had such demons in her mind.
" Galia. Listen. Gorker would never do that. You know what kind of guy he is. Wasn't it you and the others that wanted me to accept him as my subordinate?", Rosch said, trying to tell her what kind of guy Gorker is.
"I... I know. It's just. I always had the feeling he was waiting for the moment to use me against Gargaschar. It felt as if he followed me sometimes. I am just....", Galia tried to convince Rosch that she wasn't just imagine those vibes she got from Gorker sometimes.
" Galia. He followed you often. He even told me stories about your first mission in the human territory, where you got attacked by bandits. How you were chased by ten bandits.", Rosch said, before Galia could finish.
Galia's eyes became big from the shock.
" I knew it. He was there. You don't know how creepy it was. He stood in the front gate of the village and just said.
"Stupid female, you have to watch yourself or something worse may happen next time."
It was so fucking creepy. Why are you smiling. You should have talked with him. How dare he follows me. ", Galia bursted out. She was even shaking a bit. She thought that it was true. He didn't like her and now her mother and Gorker could get back together again.
Some dark thoughts came into her mind, while she had her eyes closed in disbelief.
Rosch looked at Galia with a smile.
"Galia. He is your father. He did all those things to protect you. The time you were chased by bandits, he took out 8 of them. You only had to fight two, right?", Rosch said calmly.
Galia on the other had looked dumbfounded. She was confused and didn't know what to say. Rosch had a small laugh and told her the story. Why her mother never killed herself. The reason was simple. She was pregnant with you, the daughter of Gorker. Maybe their only hope at that time. Rosch even told her stories of the times she got herself in trouble and Gorker had to get her out of it without her realizing.
Galia didn't say a thing. She was completely baffled and started to cry again.
"R.. Rosch I.... I am stupid. I... I.... I.... Should have let him see my little Ralia and Rogal. When the rest held and looked at them, he was standing the furthest away. At the end he came closer, but I still felt weirded out around him and told him that we were tired. I..... I..... What if he never wakes up..... Oh.. ", Galia suddenly said getting a painful face again. But Rosch stopped her from talking.
" Don't even think that this is your fault or you did something bad. You wanted to protect your babies and he would never blame you for that. And before he lost consciousness, you should have seen his eyes after I mentioned Rogal and Ralia. He wanted to meet them again so much. You need to talk to him from now on. Give him reason to wake up. Bring Rogal and Ralia and when Kulnara wakes up she, too will help. He is strong and will make it. I know it. ", Rosch said with a huge smile. Galia just looked into his eyes and nodded. She got hope and started to smile a bit, too.
They talked for a bit longer, till Rosch started to stand up.
He kissed Galia, while cleaning her face with his hands. She looked like a mess, but Rosch liked it.
"I only saw you like this once. When we were in the other dimension. Normally you are so proud and strong. It's...", Rosch said, but got interrupted by a bit of pain. Galia pinched his sore legs. She got red and wanted him to stop.
"Don't pinch me. I hate it when you are like that. I want to see you happy all the time. But it somehow feels nice, too, because I know you love me. You only show this side to me.", Rosch smiled brightly when he said that. While Galia became more embarrassed, but her hand was grabbing his. She didn't want to let go. After a bit of more time Rosch left.
As he left the room, he heard how Galia tried to speak to Gorker.
Rosch went into the main hall. He saw that the rest was getting chattier. Only Thulpina was a bit out of it. He instantly went over and smiled at her.
She was confused and didn't know what he wanted.
"Do you wanna do it? I will give Rogal and Ralia to one of the others. We can go into our bedroom if you want.", Thulpina suddenly said. She liked the idea of having a one on one after such a long time. They always have to share Rosch lately.
Rosch on the other hand almost fell from the chair.
" Noooo, I wanted to know what is eating you up? What is on your mind?", Rosch said with a sigh. It was true that he only came to them for sex lately, but he was a family head. He didn't have much time and now he knew he had to give them more attention. He didn't want that his females would start to feel like sex puppets.
Thulpina was surprised and got a bit red.
"UUMMM. Is it that obvious? It's nothing Rosch. Don't think to much about it. We have more important things now.", Thulpina said. She didn't like to stand out and never asked much. She was more of the quiet one.
"Thulpina, don't be like that. Be a bit more selfish. Didn't you say you want to fight for the alpha female position, too? What happened to that female. Come on, just say it.", Rosch said a bit teasingly. And it seemed to work. She looked down at first, but looked into his eyes next.
" I.... I just want to visit my home again. It's just that with the war, the growth of the village and all that going on, makes it hard to ask you for such a favor. Weighing my homesickness against real problems is a bit laughable, right?", Thulpina said with a forced smile.
Rosch looked at her and smiled.
" No it isn't. You can always come and ask me everything. I will try to make everything possible for you or any one else in our family. The worst that can happen is that we have to delay it. But I will try my best to make you happy.", Rosch said with a smile. His smile shocked Thulpina. She almost forgot how nice Rosch is. They really didn't see each other often lately. He was always outside training for the war and when they met it was for sex. She missed their smalltalk.
She suddenly leaned forward, grabbing his hand. She now was the one wanting to have sex, but before she could drag Rosch more than some meters towards the bedroom, the front gate of the cave got opened and a guard stormed in, telling Rosch that Randan wants a meeting with the family heads.
Rosch looked disappointed, but Thulpina the most.
The guard went outside again after having given the message.
Rosch looked at Thulpina with a smile.
"We will have fun later. I promise you. Even if we aren't alone then. I will take some extra time just for you.", Rosch said, while his smile turned a bit mischievous.
Thulpina smiled back and nodded.
Rosch didn't wait much longer and went forward towards the gate, but he stopped at the table for a moment and hugged Ziriana from behind.
She looked a bit shocked and got shaken up a bit, but he did it so often her body started to accept it.
"Don't startle me like that. What if I scratched you or worse even bitten you again. Maybe even my bone blades would get released by accident. I... I don't want to you hurt you.", Ziriana said getting embarrassed at the end. Rosch did such small things more frequently. He started with a light touch and now he even hugged her. He often gets wounded, but his response is always the same.
" It's worth the pain. ", Rosch said at the black beauty with a proud smile. He looked at her especially at her jade like eyes. Such a nice green color was mesmerizing.
Rosch didn't say more as he left the cave.
Outside was Leonhard and Bog. They wanted to go together.
" Leonhard, how is the situation? Do you think, they will hold the wall next time?",Rosch asked after he greeted them.
Leonhard told him what he saw.
Randan still has enough beings and next time they have to fight seriously since they don't have their canon fodder anymore. Gargaschar's forces are almost completely wiped out. So their elite warriors have to fight.
Leonhard told him more, but those were the most important details. Rosch liked what he heard, because from now on Randan would lose his real military.
They walked up the mountain and finally reached the cave of Randan. They went inside and saw that three out of the eight chairs were occupied.
Rosch, Leonhard and Bog did the same. They went and took seat on their chairs. Still two were empty and those would stay empty it seems.
"Good. All family heads are present. Two fucking days and we lost two family heads already. One died as traitor, while the other one corpse was found, mangled and cut up by Nightwalkers.
HAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH
This shit can't go on like this. We followed the rest of the Nightwalkers that fled and killed ten of them. But those ten were used as sacrifice to let the others of them flee.
The next attack will be coming soon and this time they know what is awaiting them. They will come with another 100 to 150 Nightwalkers, just this time the Elves will help them. We have to be ready for 300 or more enemies. This is a number that could wipe us out.
...
I FUCKING WANT NO MORE SHIT FROM WITHIN. I WANT OBEDIENCE. ", Randan said with a huge shout at the end.
He was furious and now more than ever knew, that they had to work together.
Rosch and the rest just listened. They looked at every other being at the table. Slither looked the worst. He was still weakened from the fight with Gorker, which made him almost lose his life against a group of Nightwalkers.
Randan was hurt, too, but he didn't seem to care now.
"I don't know, if my massage got to you. But I do not believe Gargaschar was a traitor. We need to watch our backs. Those Hobgoblins planned something.", Rosch suddenly said blandly. It was a huge contrast to the erupting Randan.
"That info I have heard of. While most of our warriors are still searching for enemies inside our village, I send a small group of mine to find the new Hobgoblin leader. He will from now on be a family head. His name is Roxer.", Randan's words shocked Rosch, Leonhard and Bog. The others probably still knew it already.
As Randan's voice echoed inside the cave, a big black figure came from behind, taking the seat of Gargaschar as his own.
Rosch looked at the being with hate. He was probably the one, who ordered the attack on Gorker. They wanted him dead, that's for sure.
Rosch suddenly jumped up.
"Do you think I am stupid enough to trust them now. They will put a knife in our backs.", Rosch said emotionally.
Randan was surprised and for a moment didn't know how to handle it, but Roxer suddenly spoke.
"I assure you that it was all Gargaschar. He wanted to take the chiefs position, but many didn't want to betray Randan. It was war and we need to think about survival not, who is on top right now."
The words Roxer said were pretty clear, that the only reason they didn't betray Randan was because a war was going on. If there wasn't one, they would have probably followed Gargaschar against Randan. That's the reason Randan believed Roxer a bit, because they chose survival and not the small chance of ruling.
" Well then how about we go to your new cave and see if what you say is the truth?", Rosch suddenly said, still suspecting Roxer. And Roxer for a small second twitched. Not because he had something to hide. He almost felt as if Rosch found something out.
Both looked at each other.
" I have to see and check something. Gorker's last words gave me a bad omen.", Rosch thought as he smiled lightly at Roxer. Roxer on the other hand looked emotionless. He just nodded and agreed to a visit right now.
Randan didn't say anything. If those two would become enemies, it would just benefit him. To that he was still suspicious. He couldn't believe that Gargaschar had the balls to take over the village.
