Chapter 78 - The first Goblin war (1)

Rosch was standing on the wall. He looked at the edge of the forest till the sun went down. Everything went silent and the Elves had trouble seeing, now the Goblins had to keep watch even more carefully than before.

Rosch didn't believe that they would attack right away. The Nightwalkers wanted to tire out the Goblin army. Maybe they wouldn't even attack this night at all. Vilcet teached Rosch about siege warfare, which is more psychological warfare then any other kind of warfare there is. Deception and feints are the most valuable thing in such a war. With smart strategies you can win, with a few hundreds against a few thousand. In open fields that is much, much harder to accomplish.

Rosch listened every day and absorbed almost everything that Vilcet or Gorker had to tell. They had the most experience in battle out of all his subordinates. The rest were mostly of the younger generation and like him just absorbed the knowledge.

"Chiefling, you don't have to be here, let my Goblins take care of keeping watch.", Gerhard said, as he stood besides Rosch.

"No, I don't know why, but somehow my body can't await the arrival of our enemies. I want to see them, when they first arrive.", Rosch said to Gerhard. He was talking calmly, but his heartbeat was fast and strong. It's as if his body can't rest.

Time went by slowly and it was shortly after midnight, as a guard came running towards Rosch. He searched frantically for Rosch.

" Chiefling, your female. She is giving birth.", the Guard said fastly, as if he would get killed in seconds.

Rosch could guess that his females were the reason for the guards frantic behavior. They must have shouted at the poor guard. Rosch thanked him and wanted to dash to Galia, but the alarm bells rang right after. Rosch turned around and saw the Nightwalkers slowly appearing at the edge of the forest.

Roschar's heart was pumping loudly. He knew the war would begin now.

"GGGGGRRRRRRRRRRRRRAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH", Rosch suddenly roared out. His shout was deafening, strengthened with magic. His instincts wanted to intimidate his enemies, while strengthening his own warriors. And it seemed to work, as roars from every corner of his territory were thrown at the enemy. His warriors moral skyrocket, as if they were put into a hypnosis. His warriors started to shout louder and made noises with their weapons hitting those together.

"Gerhard go get my grandfather. You two will command the walls till I come back. My child will be born. I have to be there.", Rosch said with a smile. He was so excited for his new child. He wasn't there when little Roar was born. For him this was a first.

Rosch dashed towards his home and as he was in front of his gate, a scream was heard. It was Galia, she must have been in pain for a while, since the guards looked pale.

Rosch run inside and right into his bedroom. He didn't even see the beings that were there. He only had one thing in mind and that was to be with Galia right now.

And as he appeared, the sweaty and pain filled face of Galia that turned towards him bloomed suddenly into a brilliant smile.

"Ro... Rosch finally. I heard the ala.... Alarm bells. I thought you couldn't be with me now. I am..... So happpppppyyyyyyy.", Galia said getting labour pains while talking.

" I would never miss the birth of my child voluntarily. I missed Roars and that is already to much. But now don't speak, just concentrate on Silvanas instructions. ", Rosch said, grabbing Galias hand with a smile. Galia smiled back and started to breathe in deeply, while starting to press with all her might when Silvana gave her a sign. It took almost 2 hours, when finally a small green body appeared in Silvanas arms. It was a boy and Galia smiled brilliantly, even though she was completely exhausted and looked disheveled.

"Look at my baby. He looks more like a Goblin, like me. Such a cutey. Give him to GGGYYYYYYYYAAAAAAAHHHHHHHH. IT HURTS.", Galia suddenly screamed again. Blood was dripping out of her vagina and Silvana went pale a bit.

She gave the boy to Lunara, who looked scared.

" Shit. Why is she bleeding so much. I closed the wounds right after the baby came out. I should be able to close it with my magic or are there more wounds? For some reason she is in so much pain and is pressing even stronger now.", Silvana said, while Galia went weak a bit again. She looked inside a bit and wanted to check if there are more wounds, but to Silvanas surprise something else was the reason for the pain.

" OH MY GOD. GALIA DON'T GO WEAK ON ME. You need to press again. ", hearing Silvanas shout, Galia became scared. Why does she have to go through such pain again. But the next words made her beaming with happiness again.

"There is another baby inside. You will get twins.", Silvana suddenly said shocking everyone inside. Galia suddenly became completely serious again and started to press on Silvanas instructions. The birth of the second child went much faster. And this little one just looked completely different, than the first twin. It had copper skin with just a bit of a smaragd green shine to it. And to that it was a female. Which would be Roschar's first daughter.

Silvana instantly went to Galia after giving the second baby to Millisiana. She searched for a possible third one, but didn't seem to find any and this time started to close the wounds inside Galias vagina for the last time. Galia was now on the brink of going unconscious, but she wanted to hold her babies before going to sleep.

Lunara and Millisiana went over and gave her those two. She smiled brilliantly again, while looking at her two angels.

"Rosch, what should be the name of our children? I thought we should name them like Roar. Combining our names. At least for the first brood we can combine our names. ", Galia suddenly said, sounding as if she is determined to give him children every year, even though having gone through such pain seconds ago.

Rosch was shocked, but instantly smiled.

" Sounds great. Rogal and Ralia. Two perfect names. ", Rosch sounded happily.

Silvana checked the babies again and listened to their heartbeats.

"I am just happy that they are healthy. I had some doubts, since the heartbeat sounded off. I must have worried you lately. In Elven pregnancies, such sounds would mean a heart diseases or weird heart conditions. But twins make sense, too. We never have twins, so I totally forgot that there is that possibility. You learn something new everyday. ", Silvana said, sounding really relieved.

She made Galia anxious the last couple of days, because she checked her more often. But Silvana always said that nothing seemed wrong with the baby.

Even with all the suspicions Silvana had, she couldn't just say the child could be sick or be born with some kind of condition. Going into labour with a bad mindset could bring complications. But now everything seemed okay and everyone was happy. Only Millisiana looked a bit gloomy.

"What's up mother?", Lunara asked concerned.

"It's just, that those two children are born in a war and would be treated like a bad omen in Elven society. I just hope here it won't happen. Now they are even twins and they were even born exactly at the start of the war, too. I just hope... .", Millisiana said a bit scared, but couldn't end the sentence.

"Nothing bad will happen. They aren't bad omens, no they are lucky charms. We will win this war. I feel good and my warriors feel good, too. We are ready for everything. Those two gave me even more strength. ", Rosch said happily, shocking everyone while giving his two babies and Galia some kisses. He turned around and left. Today he felt the joy of becoming a father and would probably feel the joy of a good fight later on. He couldn't await it. Somehow his body was giving off a different vibe, since he saw the first Nightwalkers earlier that day.

The females were relaxing suddenly. Somehow Rosch gave them the feeling that everything will be fine. They looked at the new additions to the family and were surprised. Even though they were twins, they didn't look the same at all.

"I heard that, if twins are born and they look different, it means the Goddess of Lust blessed you with the second baby and if they are identical it means the Goddess of decency had given her blessing. Since we do it so much even after getting pregnant, it could only be the Goddess of Lust blessing. ", Schajana said with a cheeky smile.

Everyone started to laugh and looked at those two.

Rogal was a bit bigger than his sister. No wonder she slipped out of her mother much more easily after her brother opened the way. He looked much more like a Goblin, just much cuter with more elven features. Just like little Roar, Rogal looked a lot like Rosch. He had very light green skin and pointy ears. His hair was dark green like his mothers, but had some silver in it from Rosch. He had sharp nails and long canines. His eyes looked like Roschar's silvery red eyes. It seemed they were dominant and Rosch always would give that to his offsprings, since Roar and Ralia have them, too. Those silvery red eyes.

Ralia on the other hand had brown skin with a hint of smaragd green shine to it. Just like her father. She, too had sharp nails and canines like her brother, but much shorter. Ralia's hair was silvery brown like her father's, but with green strains from her mother. She looked a lot like her mother.

Those two didn't cry and smiled at their mother, who lovingly held them. She couldn't look away, shining with happiness.

Rosch just came back to the wall. It was a long delivery, but the Nightwalkers didn't attack till now. Still they became much more, filling the edge of the forest with dark eyes reflecting the moonlight. It looked like more than a hundred of them were standing at the forest edge.

"Chiefling is everything alright? You were gone for 3 hours.", Gerhard asked. But only got a smile as answer, indicating the birth was successful.

"How is the situation?", Rosch asked after looking around.

"Everything seems fine. They didn't attack till now. It seems more like they are waiting for something. We hope that they do attack before the other half of the enemy army is going to come here.", Gerhard said. They did talk a bit more, but got disrupted by screams coming from the eastern wall higher up the mountain. Seems as if the attack started from that side.

" So the war now truly begins. You stay here and watch the enemy. They will probably attack from the front, too.", Rosch said fastly and didn't wait for the answer, as he dashed to the eastern wall. He truly couldn't wait. He wanted to fight. He was hungry for some enemy blood, something inside of him was awakening.
