Chapter 43 - Getting back

Rosch run with all his might. It looked weird that such a small mount could carry two grown-ups, but with the fixation everything worked perfectly.

He run for an hour and didn't slow down, but slowly and surely he got tired. And the presences from the back came closer. Rosch knew he wouldn't make it, if it went on like that. He could probably exhaust the rest of his regenerated magic reserves, but that wasn't much.

"You are getting tense. Are they close?", Yvonna asked Rosch kindly. The two females had over an hour to think and still couldn't figure out why this being saved them and is still trying so hard.

Rosch nodded only.

"Let me down. As long as you save Yvonna, I will be happy.", Silvana said trying to reason with Rosch again. She asked to be left behind more than once, but Rosch ignored it. And those two on Rosch couldn't move at all. He bound them perfectly.

"Silvana stop it. He won't change his mind, but please tell me. Why are you trying so hard? ", Yvonna asked eagerly. She really wanted to know why someone would risk his life for someone else they didn't even know.

Rosch was silent for a while. Not because he didn't want to tell them, no he just wasn't able to. He was very tired, but one weak word came out.

".... Cousin...", which shocked both females.

"What? Wait, you do have silver in your hair. But how? Aunt Lunara died. Luthor told everyone.", Yvonna said, but didn't get an answer. She wanted to know even more now. She wasn't allowed to go to the Moonshine family often, but when she did she was showered with love. Still she knew how much grandma moon was suffering without her children and grandchildren, which inspired Yvonna even more to bring this two families closer, but that was to hard and she was even thrown to the side by her grandpa sun, because she wasn't of use anymore.

The silence lasted and she knew she couldn't get more information from the tired Rosch. At the same time the sun started to vanish below the horizon, which gave Rosch a burst of strength. Just thinking that his family is in danger, made him go almost crazy again. His muscles expanded and his eyes became crimson. But that didn't help. He was faster for 10 minutes long, but got more tired afterwards.

"Run Rosch. Run. Run. Fuck my legs. Everything hurts. But my family.", Rosch had to fight inside his mind. He was tired and that outburst of rage just now made it even worse. He didn't knew for how long he could go on.

After another hour, voices behind them started to echo. The females knew that Rosch became weaker. He is only half as fast now. Everything seemed futile and the only reason he was still running was because Silvana poured her magic into him. She was getting to her limits, too.

"Silvana don't you have anything on you that could help?", Yvonna suddenly asked, while her eyes started to tear up. They gave her hope over and over again, but crushed it afterwards over and over again, too.

"I have only a drug that soldiers use when they are dying. It gives them a boost, but over 70 percent of the soldiers hearts burst right away. It is only used when you are certainly dying. Because the other 30 percent that survive aren't really much better of. They have to live with damages to the heart, that even I am unable to heal. In the end, I think from all the elves that I used to treat only 2 percent could be healed to their former selfs again. But those 30 percent that survived and didn't die right away, were feeling stamina and magic boosts, while their regeneration of stamina and magic reserves became even faster than it could be used. ", Silvana explained the risks. She didn't want to use it and if needed only at the last moment and now it seems that time has come.

Rosch, who heard their talking stopped and suddenly grabbed the thighs and the butt of Silvana, shocking them both. He finally had found the syringe with the drug inside and before Silvana could even tell him how to use it, Rosch rammed the syringe into his chest injecting the entire dose into him.

"Are you stupid? Half of it is more than enough. You just killed yourself.", Silvana shouted in disbelief.

And as she thought about his stupidity, his veins started to pump blood in masses. Huge bulge of blood were transport from the heart into every part of the body. It looked like big bugs were running from one arm to the other and back, all under Roschar's skin.

It was to much for a normal body to handle, but to Silvanas surprise, Rosch didn't scream or die. It looked as if he fought something inside him. He didn't move, only his veins were pulsating. After a while his muscles expanded even further. And suddenly Rosch opened his eyes.

"GGGYYYYYYYYYAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH. ROOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOAAAAAAAAAAAAAARRRRRRRRRRRRRR.", Two different screams came out of Rosch. The first seemed to be out of pain and the second as if he was fully healed and even more powerful.

Every animal within the radius of 2 kilometers run for their lives. And even Karler and his four subordinates trembled a bit from that second scream. It was as if an apex predator announced his presence to the world.

"That kid is terrifying. I need to have his head in my collection, before he gets to strong.", Karler suddenly said smiling from ear to ear. He never felt like that before.

He went even faster after Rosch with his subordinates and as he saw some silhouettes in front of him, he started to laugh maniacally. His anticipation couldn't be hold back anymore. He wanted to kill Rosch so much, but just a glance from the blood red eyes towards the 5 elven soldiers froze their blood. Rosch just stood there, looking back at them, scaring those 5 almost to death. They even stopped breathing.

Suddenly Rosch accelerated so fast that Silvanas and Yvonnas eyes started to get teary.

Rosch was now gone for two minutes, when Karler started to move again. His back drenched in sweat. He looked at his subordinates, who pissed themselves.

"S.... Sir that.... That must be a Demon.", one of his subordinates stuttered miserably.

But Karler just shook his head.

"That eyes and aura. I only saw it once in my lifetime. It was the King of the southern forest, who had the same kind of aura and eyes. The aura of a true alpha. We have to kill that being before he completely grows up. ", Karler said without smiling for the first time.

Rosch was on his way again and cleared the way back much faster. The sun went down completely and anxieties became stronger. The females on the back on the other hand pondered about Karler.

" Why did he stop suddenly? Karler isn't the kind of guy to show mercy.", Silvana said startled.

The females didn't feel anything, as Rosch only pressured the five elven soldiers. And Rosch himself, doesn't realize the state he is in right now. The only thing he knows right now is to run to the Moonshine estate and that as fast as possible.

He dashed forward for another hour and saw the elven village, but what he saw shocked him.

The entire left side of the platform, where the Moonshine estate stood, was burning. Every building burned horribly.

Rosch jumped up and climbed to the top in seconds. He looked around completely frantically. He got scared, as he dashed in front of the main mansion that was burning like an inferno.

Around the buildings, warriors of both fractions were lying around. Most were dead, but Rosch didn't react, he just looked at the burning mansion in shock. He cut the vines that were holding the two females on his back, as they dropped to the ground.

They wanted to say that he could treat them with more care, but were shocked before complaining, as Rosch jumped into the flames.

"MOTHER, GALIA, SCHAJANA, GRANDMOTHER, SISTER. WHERE ARE YOU GUYS. PLEASE MAKE A SOUND. I BEG YOU.", his screams were filled with pain. Tears went down his face, but evaporated, because of the heat. His skin burned horribly but Rosch didn't care, as he jumped on to the next floor, but before he could go higher the entire mansion started to break apart.

"Come out. The entire building will collapse. Fast, or you will be buried alive.", Yvonna suddenly screamed, while crying. She didn't want to lose Rosch, who was her last relative of the Moonshine family. The fire took the Moonshine family away, leaving those two as the sole survivors of their family.

The building came down and Rosch jumped out in the last moment. His arms and legs were horribly burned, but he just stood in front of the females crying, while looking down. Silvana's heart ripped apart after losing her daughter, but she jumped forward treating his wounds anyway. She was older and more experienced. She knew, if her mind collapsed, they three of them wouldn't make it. She acted fast, so horrible scars wouldn't appear later on, even though it seemed Rosch didn't care. But the pain must be unbearable, too even though he doesn't scream. His emotional wounds seemed to be the bigger problems. He doesn't react to anything right now.
