Chapter 6 - Alalëa Galrandilron

The wind howled erratically through the soft textiles of the cumulative nimbuses, For Magical forces are at play.

There in the dampness of that light blush, looming over the vast thickets spreading through out the whole continent, revealed the two suns of the morning autumn.

However the yellow balls of gases particles struggled to blazely concentrate against the dense formation of water vapour filtering beyond the horizon as its rays wane slightly.

. . . In an Instant, the whimpering of cold air whispered and contorted into a ghastly echo, As parts of the floating cotton fiber detached.

Dispersing around the blue hemisphere forcefully, For a visible gale blurs from within it reverbrating the houses of clouds; shattering the science revolving it's existence.

No laws of Physics would be able to explain the sudden irregularities; As it would be hypocritical to the subject because certainly there are no Natural Factors to adhere onwards, only Supernatural Factors were present to its causality.

And truly that is the Case.

Magnificent and ardent feathered beasts hauled a intricately crafted blue jewelled carriage through the dew dropped sky, Speeding away towards a set destination with fate treading on a thin line.

Arvin was Pondering about the creation of the coordinate (Aka system), By his design alone was the young Lord able to utilise such complex interface; Specifically to calculate the acceleration of which the carriage sped at, currently.

And by measured deductions did he somehow grasp the distance they have covered by now. Yet to Arvin's dismay; Fast as they may be the speeds at which the carriage is travelling only covered them halfway through as stated by Reg'Nalson, Because the journey still is quite the hitch.

And hours had passed already, ' An Borish Experience' was what Arvin had put in mind as he continues to adjust the interface with the braincells he could muster from morning sickness.

As he looked out of the window from within the expanded carriages size through its Augmented Space magic, Lo and behold the sight of a continental wonder astonishes the young mans wordly perceptions.

Like a explorer being greeted by God to the entrance of an ancient formation built from mother nature, Gigantuar Bones the size of titans protruded out of the undergrowth as it pierced the heavens, they formed themselves meticulously in an arranged position.

Measuring 10,000m in total.

Followed by all manner of molded greenery and creatures that flew in and out from inside it as if these beasts were forming a eco system of undiscovered peculiarities, At such artificers, explorers, and Tamers would die to live for.

'Parts of the Peak of Agomor's Bones were scattered around the continent as stated by the 'Legendarium'. Arvin thought to himself.

Suddenly his mother began to make squeaking noises, gesturing to her son whether he wanted to learn about its past as she broke from her dreadful stupor during the advent of last night.

Arvin was not prepared to have a history lesson as his mind is preoccupied with so many things at the moment, Yet Gwyndelin insisted without consent as she noticed his momentary curious facial expressions.

Which is a go sign in her own interpretation.

She smiled seeing that gaze of Arvin full of youthfulness; For she was reminded of her own, quick to indulge Arvin with any useful information to aid him in his journey whenever he leaves for adventuring.

"That over there is part of the upper spines of Agamor the Great Hecatoncheires, If my History insight is correct I believe this one here is the closest to the Ancient Ruins of the olden Alvan city"

Arvin sighed inwardly as he wasn't in the mood for this as he is more interested currently on his magic affinity, yet indulged anyways as it seems there were mysteries encompassing the wonder.

And for her mothers attention.

"Mama is that the one with the many Alvan Fortresses?" Arvin asked curiously as places of high energy density would always garner his interests for potential spots to conduct his own experimentation.

"Yes, It has been a long time since I have recollected about that place, So pardon my forgetfulness . . . the reverie is not always the perfect way for us Alvans too use whenever we are meditating, or trying to remember something at the most" She replied seemingly frustrated, as she would have head aches whenever she used the reverie due to the hidden curse unbeknownst to Arvin.

Arvin contemplated for a while as he seemed to notice something else that is strange about it. his eyes widened as he began to flurry gwyndelin with blows in the form of questions.

"Mama how did the parts of Agamors bones ended up all the way here?

What kind of greenery is Able to survive such heights and harsh environments?

Those creatures? are they considered normal in the habitat they are dwelling at?

How did they live inside the Giant pieces of bones?

There are Dragons and Wyrm Eaters! Friendly or not?

surely there has to be a explanation?"

With each question an answer yet I Regan the dope and Stoke God as proclaimed by arvin will leave that for another time . . . She begin to ramble about its past more and more as Arvin's learned about it his History insight began to brighten from enlightenment.

(20% Of Regatian History has been successfully recorded, New title unlocked: Pre Historic Scholar)

"Ah I remember, though this one doesn't seem like the other, It's good you have noticed and pointed that out as this part always did remain quite a mystery . . . However There is such an account about why it's here . . . but" Gwyndelin paused as she noticed something hovering out the lofty carriages windows.

Arvin seeing her paused gaze followed through, as he both wondered whether the thing that caused her mother to be so vigilant came to be.

But what he saw wasn't anything special to him, Only Stingray like flying creatures at seemingly far distance. Inward when he looked back to his mothers features he saw the dazed and fearful expression of hers as she widened her eyes like seeing a long lost fear of insects.

(Roll a Perception Check using a 1d20+2 . . .)

(Rolled 7 additional modifier of +2 = 9)

The Dm explains . . .

Multiple tiny shadows seemed to be apprehending them, nimble and flat as a pebble; these creatures hovered down to speed up towards their phase which baffled Arvin as this kind of speed isn't a plausible thing for a beast to do.

Yet to his surprise . . .

As Arvin was about to ask about the creatures stalking then, She immediately interjected to Reg'Nalson In the canopy of the carriage where the gryphons were at.

"Reg! Command the Lesser build automatons to immediately befell those Cloud Stalkers, I don't want them a hundred feet close to the carriage or anywhere near the gryphons as much as possible!"

"Yes Madam . . . ! Pr#ck! Cloud Stalkers! how? the Bloody hell were they able to get all the way here? the elevation isn't high enough nor the wind fleeting cool for it to live and breath the air down here is toxic for them?" Reg'Nalson complied at her command as he commented also visibly surprised.

Reg' was going to immediately massacre those Cloud Stalkers, then on the advent of time an thought dawned on him, As an Idea emerged from his eccentric mind that will make Arvin elated from his boring ride.

"Madam if you like . . . this could serve as training and experience for the young lord in commanding, For i suggest we should lend him the scry ball to control these Dwargon machinery, As our destination is still quite half the journey away from here"

Gwyndelin thought about it eager to decline when she heard this idea, but as the creatures called the Cloud Stalkers where only behind them . . . and with the speed that they are currently going.

She sighed helplessly, agreeing to Reg'Nalsons plan as they weren't really too much of a threat to her . . . 'For as long as they aren't close to Arvin', But for the gryphons they are lethal.

As she could always blast them with Fae Apparitions to stop those beasts from getting anywhere close.

'If It were In front of them though, That would have been a different matter at hand as it would be deemed more dangerous for them.' She thought as her hair was swept away by the wind from the hatch.

Arvin Hearing this couldn't help but get excited as adrenaline rushed through his body on the mere thought of combat. And so he thought to himself. 'Yay free genocide!'.

Gwyndelin frowned a little as if reading Arvin's mind being over confident, But gave it a go for she allowed it anyways, After a few seconds of thought process she saw the excitement in Arvins eyes, memories of her past flooded the once naive mind. 'She will do anything for her son! anything' She vowed inwardly with her soul.

"Alright, If they do appear to be catching up to us notify us immediately Arvin, Me and Reg' Nalson will make sure that nothing happens" and as she said this a Translucent pearly Ball the size of a basketball magically appeared infront of Arvin at the table where the space magic worked itself in the carriage.

Arvin immediately held the ball tightly with the palms of his two tiny hands, And once he clasps the Regal ball of energy a powerful feeling crept up towards him.

As it did . . . in an instant his eyes seemed to be able to peer through the outsides of the carriage at his command followed by a slight trobbing in his head.

Visions of his new view points emerged; entering a first person stand while mounting one of the more capable machines.

Seeing the Cloud Stalkers quite the distance away from them. Followed by three other giant mechanical Birds nearly half the size of the carriage, pixelating into existence as it emerged out of thin air.

Arvin then had an idea as he can see what the automatons perceive, Using his regal channeling he activated his System Interface adjusting it to fit the situation at hand.

As he did this Rusi began integrating a Combat initiative mode into the Mechanical Birds.

[Integrating Combat Initiative Mode]

[10% . . . . . 75% . . . . 100%]

[Integration set to manual operation mode]

[Calculating selected combat interface]

[Calculation completed . . . Selected ]

[Battle Pilot Mode Selected]

(Congratulations my Master)

With the experience he had obtained in studying the Runes, Cantrips, and Another a like; The spell called Quill thinkering which invokes the apparition and calculations of written numerical data into being was casted.

Only his is a Modified Version, And as it did integrate it slowly adjusted accordingly in the form of A holographic interface.

This feat was accomplishable by Arvin as he made a combat mode to his design through using calculators with the different metric and numerical systems used by many races.

'Yes! just what I needed though incomplete' Arvin's complexions showed a Satisfactory grin as he saw a Guiding Interface display itself whenever some one peers through the ball.

The screen that popped out morphed as it began displaying latitude and longitude, Height Elevation, Wind density, and travelling calculators. As a Cursor in the figure of an X shaped itself in the middle of it with a conveyer belt to adjust its line of sight.

An Ammo count Installed itself at the bottom right with a Duribility Gauge appeared at the bottom left. combined with shield generation and skills of the automaton displayed itself to Arvin's visions.

And as he did this a Holographic Visor visible only to him, whisked itself on place at Arvin's eyes for him to view, As it appears it adjusted his eyesight to bettered perceptions to increase optimal Third Dimension experience Television.

[T1 Combat Pilot Mode Activated]

Arvin was not a pilot in his past life, But he always loved using drones with mounted miniguns whenever he goes on a mission involving his team . . . Yes he had a team, for being a hacker wasn't his only job.

This only aroused his excitement for combat even more so as he was reminded of that lovely experience.

'Ah boy i haven't felt like this since the nukes were invented . . . ha so many innocents, Alright RUSI Is your system interface fully integrated into the ball?' Arvin commanded Rusi not realising that he's slowly becoming a battle junkie.

'Negative Master as it isn't permanent without the help of a proper conductor like the Tears of Elyne, I am only able to integrate into objects at 75% yet alone magical items at 55% tops.'

' Then that's good enough! Let's Go Guns and Blazing' As soon as Arvin said that, he went full throttle in commanding the Four Giant Automatons.

In Unison the Four Giant Battle Birds began accelerating towards the Cloud Stalkers mid flight, As an Invisible run way formed beneath them preparing for combat while looking at the deduced status.

Arvin seeing this became once more elated

'Rusi analyse and determine the data of the Cloud Stalkers, Make sure to include them in the basic Enemies Beastiary' Arvin once again commanded to analyse the First common flying enemy he encountered.

(On the jiffy Master Arvin)

(Analysing Enemy Identification Cloud Stalker)

(Analysis Complete Displaying enemy biological statistics)

(Cloud Stalker) (Class: Alien Brood 'Face Hugger' Species) (Life Force: 70) (Regal Force: 35) (Attack Power 16 - 25) (Physical Damage Resistance 15%) (Regal Resistance 5%) (Speed: 40 - 50 mps)

Description: Are Flying ray like magical creatures, they lay eggs in their victims to spawn their offspring.

History: Species collected from the fragments of a fallen metallic meteor, duplicating in the fall of the First Olden Elven City as its new residing place.

Danger Level: Lethal

Arvin paused in shock, widening his eyes as he inwardly disparaged agreeing with his mother's concerns ' Prick What the Hobknocker! NoPe Nope Nopppeee Noppppppeee di nope, Burn it in the eternal fire pits of Liu!'

(Yes Master) as he said those last few words in that sentence, Rusi perceived them to be a command and began readying the Machines for carpet bombing the school of Cloud Stalkers into oblivion.

As the mechanical Birds launched themselves at the creatures with an aligned objective.

Regal energy Focused itself at one point within the pair of scathing eyes, Followed by all the rest of the Mechanical construct.

Gathering it's flare as the energy was densely compacted at the space around the lower hemisphere.

And when it did, There necks seemed to stretch; pointing out to the direction of the Cloud Stalkers, Two rays of particles shot out towards the Enemy at the middle of the Horde, Making a resounding *bzmp as it was repeatedlt fired in a straight line.

*bzmp bzmp bzmp

Numerical hit points displayed above the Cloud Stalkers as they were hit by the storm of Energy Blasts.

- 45 - 47 *splat - 46 - 70 *boom - 110 - 112 - 115

The Constructs blasted the first wave of enemies exploding them to bits, missing a few on the front only for the same Energy Blasts to hit those lurking behind the group of monsters, With this the cloud Stalkers became agitated as they zig zagged across the sky full of malice.

Tilting itself slightly down the automatons activated their Super Echo blurring past the creatures, A magnetic field formed around the Apex Hunters pressuring the Monsters into a sudden compression, It sundered or turned what ever in its way into bits of minced meat.

At this point due to the aboleth size of the Apex Hunters most of the groups of Cloud Stalkers were annihilated leaving only a handful alive as they began retreating into the distant floating islands.

turning around the Expensive Machines pixalated being unconstructed from the material plane.

'That was it?, Cool at least' Arvin pondered seemingly bored yet again, however Gwyndelin thought other wise.

'They were scouts . . . I better report this to Mother to assemble the Dwargons new mechanical destroyer's before they could overwhelm the last off the Valkyries . . .'

*

As the carriage speed off into the distance, In the forest at a pond, the air began to distort as the water began to freeze followed by a haunting chill that covered the area, Causing the world's plant life to wilt and trees to blight into ashen dark complexion.

Nine Figures phased into visibility as they stood observant below the green thickets, fully camouflaged before for their Shapeshifter powers came into play.

One of them with a Crown forming untop of it hissed with disdain, conveying their intentions full of Malignance and unfathomable terror.

"Zörgḧ zgargruhrgryzbarzybräv häzöth, Müzbärg bgäz häz Oẗhbääzäkh Yzørdbravanrzÿb abgruz Bårgdørbruv, Dazborz häz Räbvbgorzgävrzub nuz Minäs Mordum" (Infernal Hissing)

(We underestimated them, Call out the Black Acolytes of Mäs - hed, Set the Ambush on Minas Mordum)

Black and Sluggish Pools formed beside them, Rising into transfiguration, gurgling an acidic ooze of morbid liquid.

Forming a hooded figure with an eccentric white wand held tightly on its right hand, As it formed itself completely a spell began to cast as twenty others like it malformed into existence . . .

"AVADA KADABRA" (Death Magic) It yelled. (Language: Arcane Death Lingo)

*

Arvin couldn't believe his own eyes, For he rubbed them with the notion of casting way all forms of illusions, As the sight of the destination mesmerized him, Leaving a great impression on all the architects and builders responsible to design and build up the grandiose edifices surrounded with natural greenery around him.

Romanticism filled the air . . .

Beautiful Towers of lush green and magical thorns encompassed the entirety formed a barrier fully surrounding the closure against all kinds of beasts lurking at the deep corners able to hinder any size and shape.

Lime dome-shaped roofs covered the homes in a pattern of assortments, fitted below with terracotta bricks for its foundation and silver outlines held the entirety of the dwellings rooted to the grassy ground in a magestic and grandiose way with wooden paper windows, as the stone pavements patterned into a puzzle around the area.

A sea with all species of flora was carefully placed near the stone and marble polished road, forming miniature gardens across the way near the houses, Giant trees surrounded the place embedded in them were homes made off cyan coated brick roofs with quartz walls.

And at the End of the Road, A Palace of the royalty filled with multiple intricately assorted colors stood engulfing the entirety of the silent city with its grandeur size and beautiful domes shape, made the colors spread throughout the walls like an art piece

It was so beautiful as even with all the assortments of colors, It was fathomable enough to stand out indicating it as the greatness of the city as a whole.

Other carriages with a vast collection of beasts hauled them around the area, fluttering gracefully along the rocky road or mid-air, As the city was silent to all ears making the place seem asleep yet truly not.

As Alvans of all ages and backgrounds roamed the streets, peacefully going on with their day, For some meditating the reverie, some practicing forms of dancing martial arts, some were even watering the plants at the miniature gardens, there were even ports hanging on the trees as Airships of all classifications docked themselves to do bartering.

And all of this happened at the same time as Arvin Landed on the ground floors runway with a couple of Hippogriff Riders from the renowned Blaze Wardens escorting them with Alvan Riders in Palladium Orange and Red Armor; Making them look like a Leaf with patterns during fall.

Gwyndelin gave a thumbs up to the Hippogriff Wardens when they escorted them towards the closest position to the Palace.

They nodded to her with a stern yet prideful sway as they seemed both elegantly trained to fight and show off class, unafraid of boasting their Alvan culture to the races they encounter.

When they landed everything seemed quiet at first, but when they continued to thread on the main road, multiple gasp's of bystanders resounded around them continued with an elegant bow as they pass by the Alvan people.

Praises filtered the once quiet city as the carriage with the golden chess piece of a castle with a crown displayed itself to all eyes came to vision.

"She back everyone she's back! The Chosen one is back!" An Alvan Male bard stated

"Oh, my after a few years she's finally back!" An Alvan Female black Smith commented

"Suluri Duluri, By the Light of the Moon we shall be able to once again see her reign mighty!" What looks like to be an Alvanis Noble said as he gestured with a proud bow.

"She brought her Child! May Elynes Reign Be Eternal!" A Painter with a burka exclaimed.

Arvin seeing this couldn't help his lingering curiosity, 'mother seemed quite the big shot around here why? why are they so happy to see us?'

He looked at Gwyndelin with a knowing gaze asking her of their predicament, Gwyndelin only slightly smiled seeing Arvin's looks as she gave a vague reply.

"You'll know once we get there my child"

Shrugging his shoulders he could only comply with her reply as she seemed to want to surprise Arvin as always.

While passing by the sudden crowding near their Carriage, The clock of Destiny seemed to thick as fate overshadowed Arvin's life right now.

He heard it a few times but didn't pay heed to it as he thought it was the bell tower at the distance.

The carriage kept on moving on the main road, seeming to not stop being escorted by six more Blaze Wardens, As they continued on this path Arvin's eyes began to widen with even more disbelief when they continued on onwards their set destination.

Soon it struck him as he never asked about her mothers ranking in Alvan Hierarchy, this was quite the mystery until today.

Closer and closer they straddled towards the place, the more and more close they got Arvin became more shocked, A single bead of sweat began to form on his temples.

because they just passed the palace gate. then as they continued forward, Arvin lost his teacups as his mind flipped itself into a jumbled mess as he began to pick up the pieces thinking for himself.

'By the light of the Moon . . . What! the Liu did I just get myself into.'

The Carriage went to a halt at the same time His mother gestured him to hold his hand as they get off the carriage.

Exiting the door held by Reg'Nalson, they were welcomed by the sight of a long walkway, Stationed in a formation beside it was a Legion of Alvan Mithril Wardens standing still with flags raised, Showcasing the Flag of the Goldenstein's and the Alvan Royalty Flag.

As Arvin reveled on what he was seeing, A trumpet blew out towards the stars, performed by a female Alvan bard. Finishing; it what followed was a Greeting that made Arvin lose his marbles.

"We give our Greetings to the Crowned descendant!, Welcome back Princess Gwyndelin!, Welcome Home Prince Arvin to the Grand Marker of Alalëa Galrandilron !!!"

. . . All became silent as Arvin couldn't take in this much pressure and information, then he cried out in his mind realizing his impending doom.

'Ahhh prick Grandmother is the Queen, I can't give her a piece of my Mind! I'm gonna lose my head!''

*

When the carriage entered the gate, the People scattered to announce the good news and when it did a little child wearing eccentric garments was left on spot, being followed by an Apparition of a Tiny Horse, she looked at it with curiosity from start to end.

As the child began to walk away, the sound of a clock resounded.

She looked back at where the carriage was with mixed feelings trying to figure out what that meant.
