I woke up today and I realized something terrible, dad is taller than me. How did this happen so fast? One moment he was a chubby little kid that could barely fit through a doggy door, and now he's taller than me. Untill he looks like dad he can't be taller than me. No, I don't want his face to get burnt again. Dad didn't like his burnt face.
When we arrived at school, I noticed a big white van in front of the school. It was across the street from the playground. That's the first time I've seen it there. Emily ran to her friends. I walked towards uncle Alex with my dad. Uncle Alex was playing by himself. He was playing with some leggos.
"What are you building?" I tried to get his attention.
"I'm building a Castle." What is up with this boy and being rich. I'm glad I wasn't like this when I was in school. Even when I had a lot of money.
My dad built a word with the leggos. He built the word hello. What have I done to my dad? All he cares about is words. I need to get him a laptop because my dad loves computers.
After we played leggos, cars and mystery box. The groupe of girls Emily was apart of walked towards us, but I ignored them. They probably weren't walking towards us. It was fun playing with uncle Alex because he could see me too.
When the girls walked in front of uncle Alex, I knew something was up. What did they want? Emily stood behind the girls with a worried
look in her eyes.
"Can we play with you?" Said a tall girl with long strait brown hair. Uncle Alex looked at all of the girls for one minute. The girls waited with smiles on there faces.
"I don't play with poor peasants, leave!" He looked at them with a look that said they were absolute trash in his eyes. The girls didn't look happy. So they pointed at my dad.
"Then what is he to you?" My dad didn't understand a thing. He had a confused look on his face, but he understood that question.
"I'm his friend!" My dad answered before uncle Alex could.
"Yes! we are friends, what do you want peasants?"
"You know he's a bigger peasant than us right." The girl smiled as she said those words.
"What do you mean? Just because his parent's don't love him enough to buy him nice clothes, it doesn't mean he's a poor peasant like you."
"Your friendship is a joke, you don't even know his parents are dead." The tall girl replied with a smile on her face. What is wrong with this girl, and why is she even here?
"His parents must have been rich before they died." uncle Alex said those words while staring at me. The girl didn't know what to say to that so she walked away.
When we ate lunch, the girls were still staring at us. It was harder for me to eat food with them watching me.
"uhhhhh," this was a problem. My dad ignored them and uncle Alex didn't even put them in his eyes.
My dad noticed a man that wasn't normally there when we went outside to play after lunch. He was smiling and was wearing huge glasses, creepy. My dad walked towards him.
"Who are you?" I tried to pull my dad in the opposite direction of the stranger. I forgot to teach my dad not to talk to strangers.
"James it's not good to talk to strangers." I quickly told my dad while pulling him back slowly.
"I am looking for my dog, will you help me find it?" The stranger's smile got even wider.
"What is a dog?" my dad quickly asked the stranger. The stranger had a surprised look on his face that quickly turned back into an even wider smile.
"I can show you after school." I just wanted to get my dad out of there. Why wasn't my dad listening to me?
"Be gone peasant!" Uncle Alex appeared at the right time. The stranger left frowning. That was weird.
"You should not speak to strange peasants like that." I wasn't sure if my dad was even listening to uncle Alex.
"okay." Said my dad while playing with some dirt. So he was listening.

I want to see the dog. I don't now why big brother said no. Even Alex was a stranger untill we became friends. How will I make friends if I don't talk to strangers?
After school while walking towards the school bus with big brother, I saw the man again. He was asking me to come to him with his hands. I wanted to come but I couldn't go with big brother next to me. Big brother didn't see him. I really wanted to see the dog.
Why can't I go see the dog. When we got back to class, my big brother showed me what a toy dog looked like. That just made me want to see a real one even more. Why do I have to listen to big brother? I really wanted to run towards the man, but I went into the bus.
When I got home, I remembered all of my responsibilities. I have to help Ace cook dinner.
We had chicken soup that night. I only had to pour the water into the pot. It was yummy, I think big brother Angel liked it too.
"Ace, what is a dog like?" I asked after dinner.
"They are soft and warm." Ace smiled as he said those words.
I went to sleep wondering how soft dogs really are.

After my dad feel asleep, I went to the orphanage lady's room to watch TV, but she was watching the news. Something about kids going missing. How boring. I wanted to watch something else.
That night, I went to sleep disappointed. The orphanage lady stayed up too late. Watching boring shows. In the morning a saw my dad getting ready by himself. He's so independent.
We ate cereal for breadfast today. The water never grew on me.
The white van was in front to the school again today. The weird man was there to, but I blocked my dad from seeing him. Something about that Man was just wrong. His smile made me feel uncomfortable.
He was smiling and waving at a couple other kids. This time me and uncle Alex were able to stop my dad from going towards the man.
we detracted him with the slide. When we went outside to play again.
Why did my dad want to see that man so much? Hmmmm, his invisible dog. I had an idea.
"Da-James the guy's dog is probably dead, You have never seen it and I have never seen it. No dog could survive alone so long."
"Is the dog dead like mommy and daddy?" My dad looked at me right in the eyes.
"Yes, he's dead like your mommy and daddy." I said those words while looking straight in his eyes. I didn't even blink. My dad looked a little sad. It's okay to lie sometimes, right?
After that, my dad stopped looking at the strange man. The man stopped looking at my dad after he didn't responded to him a couple times.

The man's dog is dead I don't want to see a dead dog. When I asked Ace what dead things were like he told me they were cold and lifeless. I don't want to pet a cold and lifeless dog.
The man didn't wave at me After school. I don't care, his dog is dead. You can't play with a dead dog. You can't even see a dead dog. I know because I couldn't see my mommy and daddy after they died.
I played with John and Joshua after school. Ace didn't ask for my help to cook dinner, so I got to play untill I got tired. I had homework today, but it was just coloring a picture so I did it after dinner. I didn't know where big brother Angel went after dinner. So I colored alone and went to sleep alone as well that night.

I went to the orphanage lady's room to watch TV again. But she was watching the news again. Something about five kids going missing is what I heard while leaving the room. My cartoons, why can't she just sleep?
When we got to school the next day the white van was missing. The white man was missing. Uncle Alex was also missing. Was he sick today?
He didn't come to school the next day either. Maybe he's really sick. That night I saw uncle Alex on the news, he was in a picture. They said he was missing.
"Ahhhhhh!" This wasn't in dad's jornal. This didn't happen. What is going on? How was I going to tell dad?
When I got back to the boy's room, dad was sleeping. Looking at him sleeping made me sleepy. I feel asleep.
I woke up to the sound of someone screaming.
