"This is not the kind of repayment for your little help, Ajussi." Ally irritably crossed her arms, avoiding to look up and pursed her lips. A chuckle sound from him makes her ears flush. It shouldn't bother her at all since he deceived her, the repayment deal is invalid.
"Kunihiko."
"What?"
"The name is Kunihiko. You can call me Kuni." Kunihiko grabbed the armrests and turned it around as he kneels down one leg looking up at her.
"I... I... I am not willing to be your model." She turned away from him. The girl almost finished with the makeup, after all, leave them alone. His way of staring at her while kneeling makes her heart flutters and pumping hard. His voice was deep, strong yet soft to the ear.
"It's alright. It was not required any repayment at all. But, I am sincerely asking you to be my model for this once only," Kunihiko continues to plead her. He looks sincere and serious looking from the corner of her eye. Her own hearts start to waver. 'What should go wrong with helping other people?' Ally closed her eyes as she remembered how she met Roger in the first place. It alls begins with being helpful to a stranger. Never will she repeat a second mistake. "I'll make sure to let you have Ms Hana to take care of your wedding gowns that you have today. It will be free of charge. Together with the groom's, of course."
Ally let out an annoying sigh. 'Clever & cunning fox.' Ally steal a glance at her reflection on the mirror only grasping in surprise to see how gorgeous they had made her. 'He led me to do some makeup and beg me to be his model.' She glanced at him, and he smiled at her with full of expectances. The first thing she saw was not his sincerity but how white and straight or well kept his teeth are. The upper left canine seemed to be a little prominent than the right one though. Maybe as a practising dentist, she never failed to observe the teeth whenever she went out to socialise. His well-defined face with the sharp jaw and angular cheekbones really make him more beautiful to stares at. His long hair was tied into a half topknot while the rest of his hair was left loose behind his back. This man must have captivated many women. Ally crossed her arms to chest with disgust. 'Hey, this is the man she met at the cafe this morning.' Now she realised why he looks so familiar a moment ago. She frowns into a long thought. The guy still kneeling was patiently watching and waiting for her reply. 'I won't be able to leave here alive if he keeps pushing me like this. I can't even run away like this in his position like this.'
"You will not allow me to refuse this." Ally stared at him hard, trying to gauge his determination through his eyes.
"Again, you are a very wise woman."
"I understand," Ally heaved a heavy sigh. "I will do it. And the offer for the wedding dress still stand?" 'Maybe she can have it for Woon Young's wedding present.' Kunihiko rose up excited with her reply but halted halfway at her smooth enquiry about the offers. Kunihiko chuckled at her and smiled to himself. 'Silly thinking, Kuni. She is getting married to another man.' Kunihiko nodded to the woman.
It took them nearly three tiring hours to finish the whole collection. It was like magic. Kunihiko concentration was amazingly admirable towards his profession as a professional photographer. She loved to watch him working, running and rushing around the arena with his camera trying to catch up with his workload. But obviously, Ally only loved his long hair. She loved to stare at his hair. Every time he moves and his hair sways softly. Strangely she has the desire to touch, hold and feel it. Every strain of his hair. Ally even remember his soft masculine cologne smell on his body when he kneeled down before. During the last hour of the photoshoot, another guy appeared. Jeremy, he comes back empty-handed. He keeps on apologies to Kunihiko but he ignoring him until he saw the last collection were couples wears and the last model has already gone to his next job. Kunihiko turned to Ally to let her know only to stop his track. He won't allow any guy to stand close to her aside himself. In irritation, Kunihiko shoved his camera to Jeremy and head to the changing room.
"I hope you don't mind." Kunihiko returned to the site fully dressed as the groom after twenty minutes. Ally shook her head, bashfully looking away. 'Well, He does look dashing with wedding attires.' They look like a natural couple.
The next two hours were like magic, they don't communicate much, but surprisingly they were able to in-sync as a couple that they were able to finish earlier than scheduled. Jeremy, might not as good as Kunihiko but his way of cracking others to laugh has loosened the stiffness between the couple. Jeremy turns out to be an amazing photographer too.
''Good job! That's it and let's wrap up before we all heads to the 'Season'.'' But as soon as Jeremy shouted out, her smiling face disappeared, and she moved away from Kunihiko swiftly towards the woman dressing room leaving him alone on the stage clueless. Jeremy continues to flip over the photo previews begin to nod with satisfaction on how the pictures turn out really great and breathtaking.
"Hey, Kuni. Good work today! Although It's not like you to daydreaming, though.'' Jeremy winked at his buddy. Kunihiko unable to argue with him.''Alright, I going to leave here. Let's meet in the Season later.'' Jeremy put down the camera and leave. ''Hey, don't forget to bring your woman to Season too. She is our star after all. Hana will be there too. Chau!'' And he's gone. The crew were busy gathering and packing those heavy equipment back to the storage. Jeremy's suggestion makes sense but will she be going to celebrate with them. Anyway, they owe her so much for finishing the photoshoot after all. Kunihiko headed to the changing room hoping to be able to catch up with her.
He just finished changing and headed to the common room but the woman was no way to be found. He stopped to ask the boutique's sales assistant, and it seemed the woman already went out. He has never been like this. The feeling of excited and disappointed in a short time. Like he was a teenager in love. Love?! Nay, not love. He doesn't want to admit it at all. He shook off the disappointed and convinced himself that she was nothing but a plain, small and cute woman. Nothing more.
He ended up not going to the Season after all and headed to the parking when a familiar figure attracts his attention. They were arguing with each other. The man that was talking with the woman from the boutique was Henri! Maybe she is his new target girlfriend? They look really intimate. Now other emotions begin to grow inside him. Anger. Jealousy. Query why Henri, of all men in Seoul, be her acquaintance? He never once like that man. He never knew why he dislikes him, although he is William's cousin. The next thing he knew he already behind a lamp post trying to spy on them. The woman's expression clearly looks upset and annoying with Henri. But not for long before her expression softens with clearly a sadness as she wipes off her tears from the corner of her eyes and they walk out from there.
Kunihiko unable to process what has just happened and why he really into that kind of woman. His phone in his pocket vibrated. His jaw hardens and scowls knowing who the caller ID is.
