Paige
"Will hand you your timetable." Sarah said as we got off the bus. "Hey, are you listening?"
I'm not paying attention to her because, I already know what to do, and my mind is already full of thoughts.
About that dude.
He was looking at Sarah and I as we waited for the bus. Because I was more busy trying to calm myself down instead of calling him out and telling him to mind his own business, I don't know anything specific about my new school. Except for the basic information Sarah gave me weeks ago.
Then I saw that dude talking with, I think her name is Dora? Kiara told me about her. She's another one of my new friends, but she goes to a different school. She told me that Dora is like the hybrid of Regina George and the other two Plastics, from Mean Girls, plus Dolores Umbridge from the Harry Potter Series.
If you don't know what that is, just let me tell you what these people do. Try and paint a picture.
The Plastics know only one thing- if somebody has something that they want, snatch it. Or break it. Pull others down to lift themselves up.
Umbridge is a cruel, evil, hideous troll wrapped in pink. She brought a special quill, that's a feather using which they write, using which she made Harry Potter write. The words which he wrote were literally etched into his hand, like some kind of tribal tattoo. Made with his own flesh and blood.
You got the picture, right?
And I know that she looks down on every one. So far, all acquaintances I have made don't like her attitude, neither do I. She made fun of my little Pomeranian pup, Snowball, calling him 'A living piece of grime'.
And he didn't even do anything!
So, if that dude keeps company with girls like her, he must have poor taste in people.
"If you ignore me again, I am going to break up with you!" Sarah said, annoyed.
"We're not in a relationship." I tell her smoothly.
"Friendship is a relationship. I will throw you overboard." she said menacingly. And I know she means it.
"So, go to the Principal's office. There, the Student Representative of Freshman year will wait for you, to show you around. You will get your timetable from him." she said calmly, handling each word with patience and care.
"So, when will the representative change?" I ask her, as I want to be one.
"The re-election is in a week. There is a different representative for each semester." She said and glanced at her watch. "If I don't leave now, I'll be late for class." She waves me goodbye as I stare at her retreating back.
I search for the Principal's office and find it in some minutes. There, a teacher was standing and she told me, "Hello! If I'm not wrong, you must be Paige. I'm your new English teacher, Miss Reynolds." she grinned and left.
The Principal came out of his cabin and invited me in. He said, "Good morning, Miss Powell. I am Lawrence Norbury, the Principal of North West High. Here's your timetable." He hands it to me and I see that I have English for my first period.
Then, there were three sharp knocks on the door.
