When Elizabeth woke up, she found the bed to be empty and cocked her head aside, from where she heard Aaron's voice. "Get ready quickly and have your breakfast, I'll drop you at your office," he said and the very next moment Elizabeth rushed to the washroom. She couldn't face him for obvious reasons. While Aaron was driving the car, there were flashes of the previous night on her mind making her cheeks red. She scolded herself for recollecting such things when he was right beside her.
"Are you blushing?" she was embarrassed when he asked her such question. "I'm not," she denied looking away from his gaze to hide her embarrassment, Aaron who saw his wife hiding her face from him, let out a chuckle. "I can't drop you at grandpa's house. I'll send the driver to drop and I'll pick you up if possible," she heard him say.
"Okay," was her reply.
It was two weeks ago when Micheal Winchester, Aaron's grandfather, came to know about Liam's accident. He was angry that his family members hid about his grandson but was calmed down when they reasoned him that they didn't want him to worry about his grandson because of his weak health. Micheal said nothing but made Liam to shift at his Mansion and made sure that the room he was shifted had all the things which were needed for Liam has been under strict observation. The doctors said that he was out of danger but it would take three to four weeks for him to come into consciousness.
In the evening, Elizabeth was dropped at the Mansion by the driver sent by Aaron. It was the first time she was visiting the Mansion after Liam was shifted. She walked inside when the maids bowed to greet her. "What is his condition?" she asked Grace, Liam's mother. "Better than before," the woman gave a meek smile. Elizabeth sat beside Grace and looked at Liam who was on the bed, she tried to control her tears but she was unable to do so when she saw Grace sitting beside Liam with tears in her eyes. Excusing herself from Grace, she came out of the room wiping her tears. She was still blaming herself for Liam's condition. "Elizabeth?!" she heard a concerned voice, it was Fiona, Aaron's mother. "What happened?" she asked her daughter-in-law.
"Nothing. I just couldn't see Liam in that condition," Elizabeth said wiping her tears.
"He will be fine. The doctors said, there are high chances of him to gain conscious in two weeks."
Elizabeth nodded and she hoped for him to recover as soon as possible. Fiona asked one of the maids to bring a glass of water to her room before taking Elizabeth along with her. "You must be tired, have something. You will feel good," she said but Elizabeth shook her head to say, "I am fine." Elizabeth gave a warm smile.
Elizabeth and Fiona had a casual conversation. Elizabeth was asked by her mother-in-law about her routine and her work. But Elizabeth somehow tried to bring Marcus in their conversation. "When is father going to come?" she asked her.
Fiona sighed, "I have no idea."
Elizabeth felt that it was the right time to ask her mother in law about Aaron's father but before she could continue to talk about Marcus, her phone rang. It was Aaron. Elizabeth picked up the call and heard the voice which came from the other side of the phone, "When shall I come to pick you up?" he asked her.
"In one or two hours?!" she replied and ended the call when Aaron said he would reach home early.
"I'm glad that he cares for you. I was not sure if he would make you happy when I heard that he married you but it is a relief that you both are happy," Elizabeth heard Fiona talk to her.
Elizabeth gave a smile in exchange to her mother-in-law's words. "Can I ask you a question?" asked Elizabeth.
"Feel free to ask," Fiona answered and waited for Elizabeth to speak.
"Why doesn't Aaron talk to you and father?" asked Elizabeth to see a change in Fiona's expression.
On the other hand, Roseline, who was in her class couldn't stop thinking about Ryan. He seldom came to school since the day Liam met with an accident. Roseline knew that Liam was the closest person to Ryan. She has been worried for Ryan because he was not himself since then. Whenever she called him, he ended the call excusing himself by saying, he had work to do or that he was restless. She knew that Ryan was worried about Liam and didn't want to talk to anyone but she couldn't stay quiet and let him be alone.
"What are you thinking?" she heard her friend, Clarie snap fingers to bring her back to her senses.
"I was thinking about..."
"Have you observed Ryan. He seems to be lost these days," Sarah interrupted Roseline when she saw Ryan leaving the class.
"His cousin met with an accident." Said Claire. "I heard that his cousin's accident was not a normal accident but a planned one..."
Roseline sighed and got up from her seat excusing herself while her friends were talking about Liam. She hid her relation with Ryan from her friends. Roseline wasn't sure if being in a relation with Ryan was a right choice, she started to feel that he wanted to stay away from her at the same time she felt that his unusual behavior was because of his cousin's accident. Roseline followed Ryan to the terrace and saw him stand alone on the terrace." I'm fine, Roseline," he turned his head to see her.
"I can see that," she said and walked to him. They both stayed silent and stood at one corner looking at their school ground. Roseline kept looking at Ryan from time to time but said nothing. She didn't know how to start the conversation. She wasn't understanding what can she do to make him smile to tell him that he could trust her and share his thoughts with her.
"Liam was dealing with a case in secret. I mean, Unofficially," he spoke out, breaking the silence between them. Roseline heeded his voice as he continued.
"He went to gather information the very next day..."
Ryan tightened his fist before he could complete his sentence. He couldn't let out his words. Ryan was not stupid to think that Steve's enemy targeted Liam. He clearly understood that it had something to do with his cousin-in-law, Elizabeth's mother's case. He wasn't sure but he believed his instincts, he can't tell anyone what was on his mind because none would believe him and even though he wanted to share his thoughts with Roseline, he couldn't; because he didn't want Roseline to know about Elizabeth's mother from him, he thought it would be better if her sister told her. Another part of him wished if Roseline stayed unaware of such things.
Ryan felt Rosleine's hand touch him. He looked at her, "He will be fine. My dad went to visit your cousin. The doctors said, he would gain his conscious in one to two weeks," she assured him.
"I hope the same," Ryan sighed.
"I just want you to know that if you ever feel to share something just let me know. I'll be there to listen to you no matter what it is. Just make sure to be strong..."
Before Roseline could complete her words, she was pulled by Ryan into his arms to hug her. Roseline was startled for a second, he hugged her tight and didn't let out a word. She slowing moved her arms to hug him back.
"Thank you!"
Roseline smiled when she heard his voice.
