*Ashers p.o.v.*
We stand in Grace's and Jessica's room. Jessica is staring at me very angry. Grace begins to explain everything to Jessica. Grace finishes and I being to speak. "Jessica, there really isnt much time to waste. I need you to come with me tomorrow on a trip to a country your ancestors come from. It's very important you agree to come with me."
"Yeah well what if I dont want to?" She screams out. She looks angry.
"Jessica, this is absolutely important. I didn't realize it before but your life and the life of everyone you love is in danger." Grace explains. Jessica gives her a confused look. "I need you to go with Asher to Romania." Grace finishes.
Jessica looses it right there and then. She is furious. Her eyes turn as black as the night. She starts toward the door and I put my hand out to stop her. She gives me a look that could kill. It's extremely terrifying. I drop my grip on her. "We should sit down." I say to her trying not to touch her again. I let Grace take the lead. I feel like it would be better for Jessica if she heard it from her and not some 'stranger'. Grace starts explaining Jessica's past to her. I wonder how she will take it. I hope she won't freak out but who wouldn't after learning you grew up with vampires and that they are royals from Romania. I take another look at my phone and nothing new appears. It seems like Grace has come to the last of what she was saying and I begin to speak to Jessica. She seems deep in thought but I interrupt her anyways. "We have to make a decision on whether or not you're going to do this or not by tonight so we can leave tomorrow morning. I just wanted to let you know how serious this is and that everything rides on this decision. So.....no pressure." I give her a small smile trying to make her more comfortable. It doesn't work. She just starts walking out the room and down the stairs. Fuck. I hope this isn't her answer. This couldn't be more serious. The norvamps (normal vampires) are looking for her this very instant. I Just hope they don't make it here before we leave to go train Jessica in Romania. We don't chase after her because we think she just needs to be alone to think about everything. Wait..... did Grace tell her about me? I look over to Grace. "Did you mention anything about me in there to her?" I question her. She just looks at me and says no. Oh thank god. I dont know if I want her to know who I am. I feel like she will think I betrayed her and left her for no reason. It wasn't for no reason it was for her safety.
"You have to tell her Asher. Tonight you have to explain who you are. She deserves to know from you and only you. You were there for her when she had no one." Grace interrupts my thoughts. I stare at her not knowing what to say.
"Grace, I just don't think that is a good idea. She will hate me more than she does now. I don't want to know what she could do to me if that was said. I mean... did you see the way she stared at me?! It was like she wanted to rip me to pieces!" I look at Grace terrified at the thought. "Yeah well you need to do it Asher. I'm not going to let you take her without her knowing the truth. And we make a promise to her now to never lie again to her! How will she ever trust us. Fuck, she probably doesn't trust either of us at the moment but we need to be honest!" Grace says with a stern look. Oh fuck I really need to tell her. Okay I'm going to do it. We make our way down the stairs and into the living room where we thought Jessica would be and it's empty. What the hell!!! Where is she? Grace and I start to call her name and we don't hear anything. I go back to the kitchen and notice the back door is open. Oh, she must be out here just getting some air. I make my way out the door and look around. She isn't out here. What the hell. Where could she be? I start to use my great sense of smell and it leads me to the entrance of the forest. Oh no. This isn't good. "GRACE!" I yell out as loud as I could. She runs out to where I am. "What is it Ash?" she said out of breath. I point to the forest and turn to face her. "She went into here." I say with a shaky voice.
I turn myself to my giant wolf form. My beautiful black fur blows around in the wind. I'm like a shadow in the night. I turn towards Grace and then start running through the forest. I use my nose to keep on the trail of her scent. She smells almost the same as she did the last time I seen her. Just a little different now that she's a vampire. I hope I can find her. I keep running and running. I've been running for about two miles. I run through a clearing and I see Grace running next to me just slightly ahead of me. She yells to me that she senses a cliff that has a very steep drop about a mile up. Shit. That's the direction Jessica's scent is going. This can't be good! I run faster and Grace runs even faster than I am. How are vampires so much faster than werewolves? Whatever I need to stay focused on Jessica. I fear the worst.
Finally I meet Grace at the edge of the drop and turn back into my human form. "G-Grace.... you don't think she j-jumped do you?" My voice cracks and you can hear the fear. She just looks around and doesn't say anything. What the hell! "Grace!" I shout at her. She flashes me an angry look. "No." she says. Well where the hell could she be? Her scent is all around this area. I start to walk away when I hear something thud on the ground behind me and Grace. I turn around and Jessica is standing there. She has a blank expression on her face. "Jessica!" I say while walking towards her. Grace gets there before I do and she embraces Jessica into a hug. Jessica breaks down and starts crying. She falls to the ground in Grace's arms and just let's all her tears flow. Are her tears falling red or are my eyes deceiving me? I step closer and it's true. What the hell. Vampires usually have black tears. I dont put much thought into it.
I turn myself into my wolf form and head to where Grace and Jessica are and I wrap myself around both of them. My face is turned to where I can see their faces. Jessica looks up to me and has this look like she knows who I am now. I wonder if my form brought back her memory of me. She shoots me a small smile then nuzzles her face into Grace once again. We sit there for a while before we decide to head back. Grace puts Jessica onto my back and we make our way back to their house. Jessica holds onto me tightly and she rubs her face into my fur. I can't help but think about the norvamps looking for her and I instantly get anxious.
We finally arrive home and make our way inside. Jessica needs blood now. She doesn't look good. When's the last time she drank? I put her into the living and take on my human form once more.
I find Grace in her room collecting a couple bags of blood for Jessica. "Grace, when will I have an answer from Jessica?" I know I shouldn't be asking this right now but time is running out. "Are you fucking kidding me right now Ash? She's not well right now how the fuck do you want an answer from her? She came back with us so that had to mean something. Just focus on getting her fucking well for the moment okay?!" Grace screams at me. I don't say anything back. She gave me my que to not speak again. I am worried about her and I don't mean to sound like a dick but all of our safety depends on Jessica's answer. She needs to come with me. She needs to train asap! I head out her room and down the stairs and wait. All I can do is wait...
