Mia walked up to the reception desk while Damon and Marcus went to the bar. James fallowed Mia over. Mia started talking to one of the two girls behind the table. James in the mean time, was looking around and observing the building. It was very expensive looking, and clean. the floor was practically shining! Mia flicked him in the head to get his attention. James stepped over to the desk while rubbing his head. The reception girl put a sheet of paper in front of him to fill out. It only asked about basic information. Name, level, age. etc. James thought about writing a level that was lower then what he was, but as he tried to, his hand wouldn't let him. but as soon as he went to write his real level it worked like normal. Mia and the girl didn't say anything about it either. He guessed it was some kind of contract item, or something that doesn't let the user lie. But that's just his guess, as he wasn't bout to ask why he can't lie and look dumb or a bad person.
He gave the pen and paper back to the girl. She took it, looking it over while staring at him. After a moment she smiled and went into a room behind her. A few moments later she came back with a card with James's information on it. It reminded him of just a normal licensee you would get for anything else, but less information on it. James put it in his hoodie pocket. James nodded and again, trailed after Mia, as she got the other two before walking outside. Marcus patted him on the back, "Well, you passed the test and got you're licensee now! Were ganna head back to the inn! you want to come with?"
James felt slightly bothered by the fact Marcus was so ok with just placing his hand on him when they barley know one another. But not enough to say anything about it. "No, I'm going to take a walk around, I don't get to see this kind of view or area where I live!" James smiled slightly and started walking off. The three waved at him before heading back to the inn to do whatever. James Walked around the town taking his time to look at the stores, and just the buildings in general. It was a sea side town after all. Living in the city was nice, but for a different kind of view. So he liked to look around more. Also even though he wants to get stronger, cultivating in the open would be dumb, and not much to kill here. Well, besides humans. But he had no desire to do that. Plus more importantly, he didn't wanna lose his intelligence and become some kind of XP maniac. He still would like to have some level of social life. Eventually he found him self on top of a cliffside about a ten minute walk to twenty depending on the persons walking pace. It was getting dark now, and all the stars were out. The sea was shining with the light of the moon and the stars. It was nice. He started thinking back to when he was growing up. Both in his past life and this one. His past life felt so distant now. Considering he's now seventeen, mentally speaking he has been alive for over thirty years. He didn't have any kind of tragic story or anything from growing up. Both times he lived pretty decently. obviously, way more lavishly in this one then the other life.
Before James had a nice family. His parents didn't get along much though. But he had his younger sister. The two of them had a good bond together. Jess reminded him of her a lot. So that's probably what helped him not be bothered by it for so long. He wondered what happened after his death. He never wanted to find out really. But as he sat their he felt sad about it. How long has it been sense that day now... its been around...eighteen, or twenty years sense then give or take. So his sister... is probably in her late twenties now. Or early thirties. James sighed, there was no way for him to find her anyways. Hell, who knows if she's even alive right now, or has the same name from back then.
Moving on with his train of thought, he thought more about his current life's upbringing. Last time when he went back to Hell, he didn't take much time there. He forgot to go say hi to Tom. As well as ask about that girl. He still remembered her, hard not to. Most demons looked like a normal human for the most part some had horns, or wings, tails too, etc. All coming in many different ways. But in the end if you were to remove their added things. They would look like some guy or girl you could see down the road in the city. But she was different to this. Her skin was red, and not like sunburn kind of thing. Genuinely red, like paint, or a digital drawing. Not a normal human color you would find on demons most of the time. There's a lot both in the mortal realm and in hell he has to do. probably a lot more then that too.
James sighed and stared at the water before remembering something important. He had 7kg now. James opened up the store and found the skill he was wanting from before hand, [Demonic Eyes]. This would have been good to test out before hand... James bought the skill. He was now broke. Like 0g broke. James looked up and had the night vision part on fully. It wasn't like green sight kind of thing. More like he just turned up the brightness in a video games settings. However, looking at bright lights hurt his eyes while like this. After turning that off, he looked around before finding a twig.
[Twig]
[A branch that fell from a oak tree.]
'Cool..hm '
[Dirt]
[bro, It's dirt.]
James chuckled to himself, 'Not sure what i expected honestly.'
A few moments latter James smelt something. it smelt like charcoal burning.
