As the girl ran, she knew that she needed different clothes. She felt naked running around in a hospital garb.
She began to remember things, but there were so many different memories. Sometimes, she would be in one city and sometimes another. Sometimes, she would be a boy while other times girl. She recognized the world she was in, but felt like she was born yesterday. She had memories, but nothing else. However, she also had something that was different than the other dolls. Emotions. She only felt a few like fear, but that was far more than what Kira or Jack was able to feel.
Then, the girl began hearing voices. She started to see a silhouette in the distance coming towards her slowly. Then, the image became clearer. It was a teenage girl with long, radiant hair. She had a pleasant smile and a perfect body.
"Who... are you?" the stitched girl asked.
"What you should be asking is who are you?" she replied. They both had the exact same voice.
"I..."
"You're Annie Weldsfield," she said.
"My name... is Annie Weldsfield?"
"And so am I. I'm Annie, too. But I don't want to confuse you. Call me something like...Picasso. That sounds neat."
This was the first time she was given a name. There were so many names inside her head, but she couldn't tell which one was hers. Now, she was somewhat relieved to have one. She began to refer to herself as Annie. Meanwhile, she began to refer to the girl she saw as either Picasso or the other Annie, but the next time she blinked the girl was gone.
She still needed to find a change of clothes. She found an old hood, a jacket, some underwear, and some jeans hanging above one a line to dry. With just a thought she grabbed them with her tendrils. They didn't feel like a part of her, but they were doing whatever she wanted them to do.
She looked at a broken mirror and saw her face. It was all messed up, but she wasn't afraid of it. Yet she also knew that others would be. She put the clothes on and walked away with her hood up trying to conceal her broken face. The only thing she didn't wear was shoes.
