Valentyne walked a short distance ahead of me through the town. My wrists no longer ached from where the leather bound my hands earlier that day. Valentyne's pace was quicker than mine. I fell a bit behind him near an alleyway. As I started to quicken my pace, I felt a sinking feeling in my stomach.
"Valen-Ahh!!!" I was grabbed by my waist and whisked into the Alleyway. My mouth was covered with a cloth that smelled of rotten meat.
"Shhhh." a voice said. The creature's breath smelled of old cheese and blood. It seemed to be slightly shaky in speech. The kidnapper turned me around where I could see it's face. I tried to scream but no sound came. The creature was terrifying, it looked like an undead rat-werewolf hybrid.
"So... Master said you are the one Nelof needs to retrieve. Heh. Shame you have a husband... Master will take you and kill that one." said the creature with I'm assuming must have been a grin.
Nelof threw me onto his back after stuffing the rotten smelling cloth in my mouth. Trust me it tasted even worse than it smelled. As he made his way to the end of the alley, Valentyne came sprinting towards the rat-man.
"Unhand her!" He shouted.
The beast gripped my leg and tried to jump onto the village wall. There was a thud and we both fell. Valentyne ran towards us and pulled the creature off of me. I sat up and coughed, gasping for air.
"WHAT THE HELL?!!" I yelled. "That... THING is so fucking heavy!!! I could have been killed!!" I smacked his arm. "And nonetheless, YOU SHOT AN ARROW AT ME!"
Valentyne laughed. "For a wolf, you sure don't hit hard!"
I chased after him with a stick I found lying near the beasts body. Valentyne outran me.
"Come on little wolf... after you're done getting kidnapped today, we need to work on your punches." Valentyne called.
