"That's all I can tell you, although I have a doubt that you know more since your ability seems to be one of the infamous abilities connected with information. It's even rarer than having an ability, but I never could have imagined that you would unlock an ability like that, as abilities often represent the personality of the person to some extent. Nevertheless, I would still like to know more about your ability from you," the old man said after giving out the rough explanation.
Shaheer knew that the old man was still hiding a lot of things because there is no way that it's just this simple.
"I would have liked to know more, but knowing you, it might take time. However, I still have a question, if you don't mind?" Shaheer said.
"Sure, go ahead," the old man replied.
"Who gives out these abilities? I'm not naïve enough to just go with the flow of it being a blessing of God," Shaheer said with a cold look in his face, as if he were threatening the work of the gods.
"While there are many theories, including the one you just said, there is no real answer, but most of us believe it's the work of the divine beings. But being in the mortal world, we can only guess," the old man replied.
Shaheer now knew more than he thought he would and it only increased his questions. For the time being, he thought that it would be okay to put a hold on this session and come back to it later.
"My ability lets me create skills from doing something continuously. The example is one of the skills I just unlocked called observe. It gives me useful information about other people I use it on, but there are times the information does not display and I'm talking about you when I say this," Shaheer said this in a carefree tone, while not revealing anything about the game-like ability and the levels.
He would like to have an upper hand by not telling him everything his ability can do.
The old man was surprised to the fullest now. In his head, all he could think was, "What kind of broken ability lets you make skills by just doing the act continuously?" He was even thinking if this is called hacking. He couldn't even hide his surprised face now because usually, the ability is a skill or maybe a set of skills, but this was beyond his wildest imagination.
"How did you get the observe skill?" the old man said, still in shock.
"Taqarrub seemed stronger than usual, so I just tried to measure his strength like anyone who is strong would do, and then suddenly I got this skill to look into information. That's how I came to know about Taqarrub's sealed potential," Shaheer replied.
The old man was cursing from inside for such a strong ability to exist. There have been people with the ability of the Demigod rank, but this ability just feels like it's a Divine one. Not in a thousand years has an ability ranked Divine has come out, and there he was sitting in front of him with a carefree expression, a being that could reach the top of the top.
The old man regained his composure after a few moments of shock as he was now eager to make this person come to their side.
The old man continued, "I see, well because we have a history and you have always been good to my children, I would like to offer you my help in becoming strong enough to hold your own in this world. But all this only comes after you decide whether you want to join the world of abyss or continue on with your old one. As you would have already guessed, there are many who would leave this world to live a normal life, and it's not uncommon at all. You can tell me on a later date if you want to or not."
But Shaheer didn't hesitate. Without a second thought, he interrupted the old man, "I will be coming." He could see the surprise on the old man's face, but Shaheer knew that this was where he belonged. The thought of rivalries and battles, of not knowing who the victor would be, filled him with a sense of eagerness. He could feel the adrenaline pumping through his veins as he imagined the thrill of a true fight.
The old man looked at Shaheer with a sense of awe. He knew that this young man was destined for great things, and he couldn't wait to see what he would accomplish in the world of abyss. The old man could smell the scent of fresh earth and the dampness of moss as they talked, the dim light of the room casting long shadows on the roughhewn stone walls. He could feel the weight of his years pressing down on him, but he knew that Shaheer would be a worthy successor, a beacon of hope in a world of darkness.
"I will be honored to help you in your journey," the old man said with a sense of pride in his voice. "The world of abyss awaits you, Shaheer. Embrace it, and let nothing stand in your way."
