"Mom this necklace is so beautiful."
"Is it? Your dad selected it for you."
"Thank you dad. But today is not my birthday, then why so?"
"Because you did so well in your exams. Our daughter needs to be treated well for her hard work. Don't you think so?" Naitik replied.
"Hihi... Dad, are we finally going to the Amusement park?" Looking outside the window, Nora from the back seat of the car excitedly clapped her hands.
"Yes. We are. You can eat, play and do whatever you want to. Happy?"
"Yes!!!"
Seeing their daughter's excitement both of her parents laughed happily.
"What is an amusement park Sister?" Krish sitting beside Nora on the back seat confusedly looked at his sister.
"Where, you my brother is allowed to ride only a few rides. Where else I'll get everything." Nora giggled while teasing her brother.
"I want to ride too." Krish pouted unhappily.
"Well, you aren't big enough to enjoy such leisure."
"But I want to."
"But you can't."
"Mama!"
"Nora. Don't tease your brother." Mrs Steve spoke from the shotgun seat.
"But that's the truth. You told me not to lie." Nora spoke with a proud righteous look.
There's a seven-year gap between Krish and Nora. However, she always acts childish around her brother. Although it's not her first time at an amusement park, but, every time with her family, it feels different.
"I am gonna eat ten ice creams."
"Me too!" Krish exclaimed to be with his sister, on her desire.
"I want lots of chips too."
"Me too!"
"I will buy remote control helicopter."
"Me too!"
"Why are you copying me!" Nora pouted grumbly.
"Because I like you." Krish cheekily smiled.
"But I don't."
"Mama!!" Krish started crying again.
"Nora…"
Nora's cheeks puffed up with annoyance. "Why does he cry so much? Is he a kid?"
"Yes!"
"Yes!" Both Mr and Mrs Steve said together.
"Hehehe." Krish suddenly started laughing.
Nora disbelievingly pointed her finger at him. "Woah. See he was acting."
"I wasn't! But you always ask the same thing and mama and papa always answer you the same thing. It's funny." Krish replied with a giggle.
"Huh?" Nora looked up to her parents for the affirmation, to which both of them nodded.
"True."
"Yes."
Just like common dramatic kids, Krish is used to cry most of the time too. And Nora is used to scolding him for crying so much. And in anger, she always asks the same question, which her mother used to ask when she cries.
'Are you a kid? Only kids are allowed to cry.'
To such a statement, Nora always denies the fact of her being a kid. But she also forgets the given fact that her brother is definitely a kid.
"Okay, no more fighting. Or I will take the car back home."
"No!"
"No!" Both the kid denied it at once.
"Then keep quiet."
"Honey, what is happening there?" Mrs. Steve worriedly looked at the front.
The moment Naitik's eyes fell on the situation, his hold on his steering wheel got tightened hard.
"We need to go back." He spoke trying hard to hide his horror.

"Nora are you alright?" The middle-aged man gently asked.
His voice bring that girl out of her stupor. Seeing that man face that close to her she staggered back in fear.
The girl hurriedly looked around the hall. Finding his brother nowhere inside the hall she got scared. With an alarming eye, she looked at the middle-aged man and asked.
"Where is my brother?"
"He is sleeping on the couch outside the hall. Don't worry, your aunt is there."
The man immediately pointed towards the outside hall where the woman was sitting on the couch with a boy on her lap. Because they were facing the back of the couch, all they could see was the head of that woman and the boy.
"No, I need my brother right here with me." The girl demanded loudly.
The soothing smile on that man's face got awkward. Patting the top of her head, he gently spoke. "It's okay Nora. I know you are worried, but everything will be alright. He is safe." His words sounded nothing more than forced words not just for Nora but to himself too.
"I said I want my brother with me right now!!!" The girl shouted at the top of her lungs.
Before the man could say anything to the reply of that shout, another man asked the question from the entrance of the hall.
"What is going on here?"
The middle-aged man, Rahul, instantly looked back at the entrance. Seeing the familiar face, Rahul not just feared little but also got frustrated. He definitely remembers who that man was. Alongside the frustration, there was an anger and vigilance too. His plan was in danger.
Taking a deep breath he replied. "Nothing. I'll take care of it. You go and take care of the funeral matters."
The man standing at the entrance didn't care what Rahul said or ask nor even his existence as he asked again to the girl. "Nora, what do you want?"
The girl was still scared. Her hands were trembling with the necklace she was holding on tightly, but not for once did she let anyone see that.
Scooting away from her paternal uncle, she looked down to her feet as she replied to the man, the Vice President of her father's company, Karan Gill.
