"Welcome to Halls!" Said a sign right next to a pile of Halloween pumpkins who looked as if they were carved with a rusty knife. The Blake family entered the little town with smiles on they're faces, or at least two faces. Kathrine, a 16 year old girl with shiny dark brown locks and emerald eyes, wasn't as happy as her 32 year old mother and 9 year old little brother. About moving to a place where she doesn't know anyone or know where anything is... it was like a whole new world for her. From a big and crowded city, where no one would notice you, because they were too busy focusing on someone else. To a small town with the population of 1060 people living in it, where people would definitely notice you. But what she did like was that, instead of hearing roaring cars and the sound of a big machine building yet another building, she heard nature's melody. Birds chirping, wind blowing and instead of hearing honking cars you would hear clinging bikes.
They finally arrived to a gray wooden house with two stories plus a basement underneath. The house was surrounded by a white fence with vines and flowers growing on them. There was an old willow tree to the right with a swing tied to one of the branches. And a brick path led to the little staircase that led up to the porch surrounded by, yet another white fence. And of course at the bottom center of the house, were a dark oak door that had a golden doorknob attached to it. 'Not as bad as I thought' Kathrine thought while spectating her new home. Her room were on the second floor. It had a light rustic theme. And it was smaller than her old room. It had three small windows with white frames, that looked like one window each on two of the walls. And it had a view of the front yard and all of her new neighbors.
She wasn't as sad as she were a few moments ago though. She felt like she was safe, safer than she thought she would be. But of course, that would all change...
