The rest of the day flew by Flame was walking to pick up the younger kids from their school to take them back home to the Orphange.
Angel came running out from the schools After School class room her arms spread wide as Flame knelt down on one knee to give Angel her bear hug as she jumped into Flames arms.
They continued home
Once they got home Flame helped the children with their homework as she cooked dinner pulling out a can from the cupboard that was full of cash she knew Morgana would be by that day to collect the monthly funds before leaving for another 'vacation' as she called them Morgana was a greedy woman spending money on her clothes cars vacations even her men instead of paying for the things the children needs she had fire red hair with big curls and emerald green eyes she had so much plastic surgery it was hard to tell what was real from fake on her
Suddenly the main door burst open. It was Morgana
"Flame you brat where are you?"
Flame went to the main hall "I'm right here Morgana."
"hmph where's this months money from the city"
"Here" she handed Morgana the can of cash and watched as she eargerly pulled out the cash and started counting it out.
"There's 500 dollars missing out of it. Why?" she was angry.
"I needed to get the children clothes for school and food for them to eat so i took i-"
SLAP!
before she could finish speaking she fell to the floor she cheek swollen and red it stung as Flame pressed her hand to the right side of her face.
"You little bitch that wasn't your money to spend how dare you."
"It wasnt yours either it belongs to the children the money comes from the city to provide for our needs"
"our needs? you wont count come a few days from now when you turn 18"
"exactly but heres the thing when i turn 18 you wont be able to get money from my name anymore i checked the money will be sent to me to a bank account in my name you wont be able to get it thats over 1000 dollars less so 500 should be nothing compared to that."
SLAP!
she felt another slap on the left side of her face. Just before Morgana stormed out in a rage.
"Big sis are you OK?" asked a little boy his name was Gryphon a handsome boy with dark blonde hair and blue eyes that had a hint of green specks in them and tanned skin he was on 10 years old. he was angels older brother while she was found in the trash he was left alone locked in a room it was only after he told local authorities what their parents did that the doctors and officers did a DNA test when he told them his parents threw his baby sister away when she wouldn't stop crying one day.
they called the older boy Gryph and the younger one Gryphon so they wouldn't get mixed up as they both had the same name
"I'm fine Gryphon l'm going for a walk right now make sure the others eat dinner. OK?"
"Ok" he saw her face swollen and red knowing what it meant he went to Gryph to let him know.
at that Flame grabbed her coat and stormed out running down the street not paying attention to where she was going she just ran and ran till she ended up in the middle of the woods the town called it Shadow Woods it was a place of legend it was said that people who wandered to far into the woods disappeared and were never seen again.
Flame looked around nothing looked familiar. the underbrush rustled something was here with her.
