Chapter 1 - The Jade Cultivator

"Who are you to defy the Wu family? A mere boy dares to interfere with our work?" Wu Lin bellowed from his pedestal.

"Am I just supposed to watch an innocent person be put to death for a crime he didn't even commit? What is wrong with you people, it's as if nobody has any sense of morals around here."

Wu Lin's face flushed as he was publicly insulted by a 16 year old boy.

"You brought this upon yourself, foolish child!" Lin stretched his hand into the air, and a great jade sword pierced the heavens, diving down and splitting the earth.

"Wow~ that was pretty cool. Too bad you're so slow, you fat pig. It seems like you're all talk."

His thighs bulged as he bent down low, the ground imploding under his feet as he burst through the air.

"Right arm x100!" The muscles in his arm rippled as he cocked his arm back, preparing to swing.

"Jade Bell!" The Wu patriarch shouted as a giant green bell materialized around him.

As his fist struck the bell, the air reverberated with a deep groan.

"Damn. Tougher than I thought, aren't you? Right arm x1000!"

The bell shattered into a million pieces and then dissipated as Wu Lin was blown 20 feet away, eyes rolling into the back of his head.

"Since it seems like in this world the strong bully the weak, I guess you guys wouldn't mind if I took back this person now would you?"

The weaker warriors of the Wu family stood silently, ashamed of their uncle's loss at the hands of a child. The crowd that had gathered whispered amongst each other. Who was this young boy to defeat Wu Lin?

The boy grabbed the falsely accused man and leaped away.

"Thank you for saving me! That conniving Lin tried to take me out while I was out alone to walk. Please accept my hall's insignia as gratitude! Show it to any person of the Zhang family and they will welcome you with utmost courtesy. Could I ask for your name, young master?"

"I'm Liu Jay. Is everyone able to fight like that Wu Lin? I have to say I was really surprised by his powers."

"He is a great uncle of the Wu family, even though they aren't the strongest or most influential, in a small town like this they control virtually everything. Are you a master of the great Liu family, master Liu?"

"No chance of that, I'm a complete stranger to this place."

Liu Jay was a 16 year old highschool student up until a few days ago. At least that was who he was on the surface. When he was 13, Liu Jay was involved in a freak accident. He somehow survived the chemical explosion, and was luckily reborn with incredible super powers thereafter.

With the power to enhance his physical strength more than a thousandfold, possession of fine tuned senses, x-ray vision, and his ability to manipulate his blood, Jay was the strongest of the few superheroes that existed in the modern world.

That was until a few days ago until Jay was caught in another freak accident, an explosion after which he awoke in this strange place called the Eastern continent.

Not only was there no technology that was even close to as advanced as that of his home world's, but there were many martial artists and cultivators within this land. There were a great number who wielded supernatural powers, as shown by Lin's performance. It was unnerving, seeing such great power held in the hands of so many selfish and self righteous people.

"Why was the Wu family after you?" Jay asked the young man.

"Most likely because I am the heir to the Zhang family. We are a very wealthy family well known for our auctions halls. If you ever have any need of an auction house, or our family's influence, simply show them the insignia!"

Jay inspected the gold plaque inscribed with detailed characters.

"Gladly." Replied Jay.

A group of large men in uniform and carriage approached them, and the young man said that he now had to leave. He bowed to Jay, and Jay hesitantly bowed back. Liu Jay watched as the pleasant young man rode into the distance, and he slid the cool, gold insignia back into his pocket.

He began to walk through the dirt road as he began to wonder whether he should purchase  the traditional clothing that was common to this world. He didn't have any money, but he figured it wouldn't be an issue for someone of his caliber.
