"Were you eavesdropping?" I ask him while he's rushing down the stairs.
"Nooo?" Ren denies but it's obivous he's lying.
"Do you have any events coming up?" Reiji asks Ren who's flipping through the calender.
Ren nods and grabs the pen that came with the calender. He writes something on one of the pages.
"You have a volleyball game tomorrow?" Reiji sounds surprised.
"What?" I go downstairs and sure enough on the May 29th is a volleyball game. "Why didn't I know?"
"I didn't tell you." Ren answers.
"Why?"
"I'm only going there to learn and not to play."
"So?" I look at him confused. What's wrong with me going there and you not playing?
"It's-" Ren stops.
I look at him with wide eyes filled waiting for his answer.
"If you want to come you can." Ren sighs.
"Oh. Yay!" I squeal.
Reiji looks at the two of us. How did I ever get this girl as my royal master? Was there an error in the system?
[No there wasn't] Astrid's voice floats into his head.
'Get out of my mind!' Reiji shouts inwardly.
[But you have so many thoughts] Astrid yawns.
'Reserve your power!'
[Who's going to make me?]
Reiji's mouth twitches at her arrogance. 'Get out!'
[Pooh! No fun] Astrid retracts herself from his thoughts.
"Hey! This would be my first official high school volleyball game." I say when realizing.
"Yes." Reiji nods. "But not your first official volleyball game."
"Did you see an official one?" Ren asks.
"Mm. We go see a volleyball game when we think that it'll be a good match. We went to see Brazil vs Italy's match in 2016." I reply.
"Really? Didn't Brazil win?"
I nod. "They got the gold medal. Italy got silver and USA got bronze."
"Cool!" Ren exclaims. "How was it going to a official game?"
I shrug. "It was like any other official game."
"You've been to more?"
"She's the youngest and richest person in the world, of course she's been to more." Reiji says.
Ren scratches his neck awkwardly. He forgot my status for a minute. "Sorry."
I shrug not caring. "I love watching all different kinds of sports. Now it's late, we should go to bed."
Reiji and Ren groans but I give them a look and they hurriedly go to Ren's room. I go to my room knowing that Moon Howlers were going to get the shock of their lives.
"Aish! If only I was there to see it." I mutter before falling asleep with a smirk on my face.
*******
The next day,
"Quickly your going to be late! Are you sure you want to come, Chikara-chan?" The manager of the volleyball team turns to me.
"Uh yes." I answer. I tighten my grip on one of the bags that was slipping. "I'm positive I want to go." I smile at the manager.
"Okay." The manager nods. "Hurry it up boys! The bus ain't going to wait!"
"Coming!" The volleyball team chorus and hurriedly get into the schools mini bus.
I give the boys their bags before seating down. Being with these boys are hard, I wonder how the manager puts up with it? I look over at the manager who's scolding one of the members.
Before I can hear what they talking about something blocks my view. I swing my head around to avoid it but someone seats in the chair beside me.
"Are you sure that you still want to come?"
I look up to see Ren. "Oh it's you that blocked my view."
"Huh?"
"Oh nevermind. I'm absolutely positive that I want to come with you to the volleyball match. At first it was to support you but now it's to support the manager. She has to put up with 9 teenage boys. I have 10 brothers and they don't act like this well most of the time."
"Oh." Ren nods.
"The others wonder that as well. The old manager quit because she couldn't stand us but this manager has been around for a year already." A boy says.
Ren and I look behind us to see that it's Tomoharu Kakiki.
"Eh? When did you get there, Tomoharu-san?" Ren asks surprised.
"I've been here before Chikara-chan sat down." Tomoharu replies.
"Why didn't I notice you?" I didn't sense that there was anyone behind me.
"I was sleeping."
"Oh." Ren nods.
I furrow my brows together. Even if he was sleeping I'd be able to notice him. I look him up and down before something catches my eye.
"Where did you get that stone from?" I point to the circle spiral stone on his necklace.
"This? I got it from a market a few days ago." Tomoharu says proudly. "It had a gold hint to it so I just had to buy it."
"It looks great." I smile.
"Thank you Chikara-chan."
"No problem." I smile again before turning to the front once the bus starts.
"What's wrong?" Ren whispers.
"The shell that he's wearing is a witches concealer stone. When the conceal stone wasn't yet founded powerful witches resulted in casting spells on ordinary stones or shells so that they can hide their presence."
"Are you thinking that he's from a witches family?" Ren asks.
"Male witches are called wizards and no Tomoharu is not from a witches family."
"So how did he get the shell?"
"Someone may have dropped it but that's highly unlikely since only a few witches concealer stones remain. They sell at a high price in Renata. Even the Royal family has seven out of the ten that was supposedly found."
"Wow! That rare?"
I nod. "But this one is made from a sea witch. Sea witches concealer stones are even rarer only one of the seven is a concealer stone. Anyway enough about it."
"Okay." Ren agrees. "Wait, where is the witches concealer stones in the Renata castle?"
"Most of them are in the library that Old Kitamura guards, the rest are guarded by a griffin." I answer.
"Cool!" Ren exclaims.
"Mm. Most of the articfacts that are in the Royal library are cool." I agree.
The rest of the journey to the neighbouring school is quiet.
