Crash!
I collide full on with the floor to ceiling glass windows.
I scream and throw my arm out which just hits the edge of the window. My right hand bleeds from the broken glass left on the edge but I grit my teeth and strengthen my grip by holding on with my left hand too.
"So you're a fighter, huh?" Chandler snickers. He walks to the edge and looks at my hands. He then switches his gaze to the street dozens of feet below. "But what'll happen when that fighter can't fly?"
My eyes widen. How did he know that I can't shift.
"Scared?" Chandler asks. "You should be." He grabs something out of his pocket and pours it onto my hands before stepping onto left hand.
"Ahh!" I scream out in pain. Black blood flows from my hand and down the side of the building along with a faint tint of gold.
The door clicks and Chandler whips his head around to see Ren holding two ice creams in his hands. He drops them once seeing Chandler.
"Who are you?" Ren asks looking around to see the apartment is wrecked.
"My name is Chandler Jones. And you are?" Chandler asks putting more weight on my left hand.
"Ren run!" I yell but it comes out a scream from the pain.
"Chikara?" Ren asks. He spots the small hands covered in blood holding onto the edge.
"If I was you I'd listen to her and leave unless you want to be next?" Chandler smirks. Ren looks at him with fear, he turns and runs slamming the door shut behind him. "Now where were we?" Chandler directs his attention back to me.
"You were about to let me go." I say pushing my luck.
"Nice try but I won't be tricked easily." Chandler tuts.
"Look into my eyes." I command him my eyes glowing gold.
Chandler looks directly into my eyes but he just smiles. "Trying to hypnotize me won't work. I've already hypnotized myself not to get hypnotized."
"That makes no sense."
"But it works doesn't it?" Chandler steps onto my right hand this time.
I scream out once more in pain but before I finish my scream I hear footsteps. Chandler must've heard them too because he turned around but before he can look something collides into him making him fly over the edge.
He screams and tries to grab my legs but I dodge his hand making him fall to the ground.
"Are you alright?" Ren asks holding out a hand. I reach out but groan in pain. Ren grabs my wrists and pulls me up. He looks over the edge to see Chandler in a pool of blood on the concrete. "Who was he?"
"The person that stole our cars and we took them back." I answer.
"Is he dead?"
"No. He'll be self healed in a few minutes that's why I mind linked the Fox boys." I say standing up and healing myself. I walk over to Asra to see she's shrunken back to her original size. "You did good, girl." I pat her head before I teleport her back to the Mura castle to get properly healed by the Fox's after they finish with Chandler.
"Um.. Chikara. The guy is moving." Ren says pointing down at the street.
I walk over and sure enough Chandler is moving but now he's standing up and making his way towards a motorbike.
"Dammit!" I curse and jump over the edge. How did I not know he was a hybrid? Healing witches and wizards are so frustrating. Urgh! I land on the street but Chandler has already thrown a rich guy from his motorbike and sped off. I run towards the guy that was thrown off friend who also has a motorbike. "I'm borrowing this. I promise to return it to you later." I say before following Chandler.
From his head start Chandler is in front but using a bit of magic I quickly catch up to him but not fast enough that when I finally catch up it's on a busy street. I take a deep breath and look for the perfect opportunity to act and thank the gods I don't wait long for one to show up.
I pull the throttle to it's max and over take Chandler. I sharply turn right and jump off just before the bike hits the ground.
"F*ck!" Chandler curses. He tries to pull the brake but it's still to late. He crashes into my bike and both him and his bike are thrown into the air.
I smirk. I quickly run zigzag to avoid the bikes debris. I jump and using Chandlers stolen bike I propel myself at Chandler. At the last minute I twist my body around so that my feet hit Chandlers waist and we both land on the ground at the same time Austin, Ivan and Idan appear.
Chandler groans and grabs my ankle but I step off of him. He stands up but before he can run he gets tackled by the Fox twins.
"Good job, Adi." Austin says patting my head.
I nod. "Great to see you three working together."
"Why wouldn't we work together?" Ivan and Idan ask one sitting on Chandlers back while the other sits on Chandlers legs.
"You're all competitive."
"Foxes." The father and sons say.
"Yeah. Blame everything on your race." I shake my head not knowing what to do with these red foxes. "How's Asra?" I ask knowing they healed her before they came.
"All good. We sent her back to your apartment before we came." Austin replies putting sparkly silver cuffs on Chandlers four limbs.
"Good. Well I'll you three to it. Oh and give those motorbikes back to their owners." I say waving my hand and both motorbikes looks brand new. "Adios." I say and start the long walk back to the apartment.
"Adios." The three of them say back before pulling Chandler ruffly to his feet and using their amazing fox teleportation they teleport away with the two bikes.
. . . . . . . . . . . . .
When I walk home I take a turn and arrive at the ocean. I take my shirt, shorts and shoes off before diving.
I swim out to sea and down until I reach the sandy bottom. I lay down on the sand and let out a relaxing sigh but only bubbles come out of my mouth. I watch the bubbles float upwards and I have to admit it looks so awesome.
I close my eyes and let the curious fish inspect me. When knowing I'm no threat they go back to their schedule leaving me alone.
After a while I doze off on the bottom of the ocean.
