Chapter 5 - First Contact

Gus was shook. He just stared at her unable to utter a single word. The high he got from the joint instantly went down as he tried to think what she just said.

Seeing his response, she just smiled again and asked him "you are Gus, yeah?"

The second time she asked him woke him up from his stupor. He instinctively replied "yeah..."

"Alright good. Stay back after school, we need to talk." She said and walked away with the same smile stuck in her face.

Gus had no clue what the fuck was going on. His mind raced at 1000 km/h. "Did he just have a conversation with Eve, Holy fuck" he thought to himself.

The rest of the day couldn't go by any slower for Gus. He was excited, scared and mostly anxious for what was going to happen after school. All he did for the rest of the day was just a look at the clock. He couldn't focus on class or even try to write rhymes. All he could think about was her. He kept stealing glances at her throughout the day. Even though all he could see was the back of her.

"Even the back of her head is alluring, goddamn. I feel like I'm going to die from nervousness before I can even find out why she wants to meet me" he thought to himself.

And finally the day did come to a fucking end. He saw everyone packing up and heading back home in groups. He looked towards Eve to see that she was also heading out but without her things. "Maybe she is going to say bye to her friends, after all friends do that. How would I know though?" he thought to himself as he waited in the classroom. Soon the classroom was eerily silent, everyone had left. He was just staring out the window when he heard the door open. He saw Eve walk straight towards him, he couldn't take his eyes off her. She looked like a goddess in her black skinny jeans and white tee.

She walked straight over to her stuff and said "Gus are you ready to leave? Let's talk over a cup of coffee, it's on me." She gave him an alluring smile.

"Did she just ask me out for coffee. What the actual fuck is going on today. Am I dreaming. What is going on. Nobody even wants to talk to me, why does she want to have a cup of coffee with me." He thought to himself but didn't say out loud. Instead he just nodded at her sentence which earned him another smile from her.

He was just watching her packing up her stuff. Looking effortlessly attractive doing it. She finished packing and then said "let's go".

He nodded again with and just followed her without uttering a single word.
