"Fuck it's so hot today and I'm stuck wearing this full sleeve tee." Gus mumbled to himself as he was cycling to school. "Sometimes I feel like I should just let everyone know about the tattoos, I'm sure nobody would care." He mumbled again.
He soon reached school and parked his bike in the designated area. He was the first one in school today as he didn't really sleep and headed straight over. He headed straight to class and decided to take a nap. Since he was dead tired from partying all night, he slept like a baby as soon as his head touched the desk.
After sometime, he started to wake up due to the noise around him. "Why is it so fucking noisy?" He mumbled half asleep.
"Sorry, didn't mean to wake you up" he heard an angelic voice next to him.
He opened his eyes to see Eve sitting next to him wearing a pink dress with a floral print, he was so mesmerised by her he forgot he was surrounded by his classmates who were giving him death glares.
"Sorry, I didn't mean to curse. I'll leave you guys to talk." He said and got up to leave to go to the medical room to get a tablet for his headache.
"Wait, we need to talk." Said Eve as she held his hand to stop him from leaving.
"Eww, don't touch his hand. We don't know where it's been." Said a guy in the group.
Gus had no idea who he was, since he never paid any attention towards his classmates. He just glared at him and started to walk out. Eve then also excused herself and started to follow Gus out the door.
"Sorry about that, Mark is a good guy. I don't know why he said those things." She said as she walked next to Gus with her head down.
"Why are you apologising? Also who is mark?" He asked genuinely with a raised eyebrow
She starts laughing uncontrollably. "You don't even know the guy who sat in front of you for the last 3 years. This is too funny." She said trying to hold back her laughter.
"Oh.... He doesn't have a very remarkable face." He mumbled
"Wait... Do you even know my name?" asked Eve teasingly
"Eve, you really think there is anyone at Stone High School who doesn't know you." He said
"Hmmm...good" she said with a smile
As she finished she noticed that she was standing outside the medical room.
"Are you alright? why are we here." She asked with worry on her face
"Just a little headache" He said and walked in to meet the nurse
He got a minor checkup done with the nurse and she gave a tablet, which he took in fluid motion down his throat. While Eve sat to the side just watching him.
They were done soon and both of them stepped out.
"So let's go back to class, it should be starting." he said as he turned to walk back to class
Eve just pulled his hand back with her own. It seems like she felt comfortable holding his hand as she does it like it's casual.
"It's lunch time" she said and took him straight to the cafeteria.
"Wait... lunch time. That means i've been asleep in class for a half a day, how come no one woke me up. Wait, they must have forgot i even existed." He thought to himself
They soon ended up in the cafeteria. She gave him a plate to hold, and she put the in one by one.
"Eat these you look like you have a bad hangover. rough night last night eh?" she asked with a smile.
He nodded took the food back to the table and ate like a quiet boy being forced to eat by his mother. He felt touched, "she cared" he thought as a smile creeped up on his face
He soon finished the food, while Eve stole a few pieces from his plate.
"Why aren't you eating? He asked concerned
"I ate a sandwich before you woke up. I'm not that hungry." She said as she took another piece from his plate.
He just chucked. Soon they finished finished. Gus then got up to clear his table, when he noticed all the stares from everyone around the cafeteria. All the guys were giving him death glares while the girls surprisingly and mixed review of envy and surprised. He ignored them all and walked back to Eve and they walked back to class together.
"Oh.. I almost forgot, we have our first tutoring session today after school." She said as she took the seat next to his.
He raised an eyebrow at her action.
"Also I'm sitting here from today." She said and smiled at him.
He just smiled at sat down. The rest of the day went by very quickly. They both stole glances at one another, while Mark who was now sitting on the opposite side was also taking hateful glances at Gus, which was noticed by neither of the pair.
At the end of the day. Gus and Eve packed up and got out of the school. He was walking towards his bicycle when she held his hand in his and dragged him towards the parking lot.
"I drove today, let's take the car." She said while walking with him, still holding his hand.
Gus was just behind following her with a blush on his face.
They soon reached the parking lot. Where he saw a lot of luxury cars. But one caught his eye. It was a Mercedes G Wagon. Pitch Black. It looked like a Devil in the form of a car.
When suddenly Eve let go of his hand and walked over to the G Wagon to sit in.
Gus was shook to the ground. She has a G Wagon, it's like super expensive.
"Nice car." He said as he got into the passenger seat
"Thanks, it's my baby." She said as she hugged the steering wheel.
She looked super cute he thought to himself and smiled
They then headed to the cafe she took him to the other time but had to leave early. This time he was going to finally have his coffee with her he thought to himself.
They both sat down ordered coffee and got down straight to business. She then realised while tutoring him that he was really smart, but why are his grades so mediocre. She couldn't believe it.
"How are you doing so well here and not in class" she asked surprised
"Well I just want to graduate and work, I'm not going to college so I don't need good grades. I just need to pass my classes. But here, I'm just trying to impress you." He said and winked at her
He didn't know what took over him, it must be the caffeine he thought to himself.
"Well it worked. I'm impressed." She said with a smile.
They then continued to work on the rest of the problems while cracking jokes and having a conversation every few minutes. The mood was harmonious between them as soon they finished due to Gus being smarter than he led on.
She then dropped him back at school, even though she insisted to drop him home. They then reached the school, and they said their goodbyes.
"Today was fun." Said both at the same time.
Then both erupted into a chuckle.
"Bye Eve" he said and for out of the car when he heard he say "bye Gus"
He just smiled and walked towards his bicycle as he then head back to Ali's house. He had the biggest smile on his face. But unknown to him, Eve was also going back home with a big smile on her face.
