Chapter 3 - The Honey Trap

In the evening

Honeycomb Villa

"Mom, will you stop putting that necklace around her? She is just going to meet that piece of trash!" Ruby grunted impatiently from the door as she crossed her arms across her chest. She wore a high-necked and full-sleeved black midi dress. It was early winter and the night wind was chilly.

"It's okay", Jane, Ruby's Mom smiled as she adjusted the necklace around Sara's neck, "Girls should use the honey trap more! Especially someone like Sara." Then, she gently patted her head.

Sara smiled lovingly as she stood up, "Thanks, Aunty." Then, she picked up her phone and typed a message with her slender fingers moving rhythmically across the screen, "Sure. Let's meet up in Hotel Highland tonight. Isn't that your favorite?" Send!

She wore a light-colored knee-length Chinese qipao. It was personally gifted to her by Mr. Xi's daughter. A delicate makeup colored her face and the loose bun made her look extremely attractive. The pink pearl necklace beautifully adorned her caramel neck.

She walked up to Ruby, "I am ready. Let's go."

...

They slowly descended the steps and then turned to look back. Both smiled adorably as Jane waved them from the door. Then, both of them entered the black Aston Martin and sped away.

"Look here", Ruby handed Sara a phone, "Tap on the speed dial when in danger."

Sara took the phone, "I know."

"I have already arranged our people to keep a watch in plain clothes. I have information that they have booked the entire hotel except for the premium membership area. Once you enter, our people will knock down his men and take positions. Our work has been a lot easier since they tampered with the CCTVs. Are you ready?"

"Yes", Sara flashed a devilish grin, "You know why I chose that hotel."

"I do". Ruby smirked back.

The rest of the journey was quiet and peaceful, indicating the upcoming storm...

...

Hotel Highland was a seven-starred hotel and only a few were granted premium membership. Sara was one of them and she very rarely used the room. She had certain tricks upon her sleeves as she took the risk tonight. She wanted to end the chapter for once and all. Years ago, she had trusted that man and fallen for his trick. But she had learned to distinguish right from wrong. That man, though unbothered, had pestered her all these years. He behaved like he never cheated on her. In the end, what he wanted was the only villa gifted to her by her parents. Why? She even had the answer to that. Never mind, she knew how shameless he was. He cheated and gambled while she had to rescue him every time. She had seen his worse, but the worst came when she found him cheating on her with another girl. How devastating!?

Never mind, she never truly cared about him either. She dated him for the sake of dating. But slowly, she found herself growing attached to him. And it ended in the worst way for her.

Anyways, tonight, she would officially end his endless persistence. And, by tomorrow morning, his life will crumble.

The car stopped near a brightly lit street. The hotel overlooked with all its might. Ruby helped Sara wear the pink trench coat. Then, she smiled, "Ready?"

"Yes", Sara smiled and nodded enthusiastically.

"All the best", Ruby nodded and hugged her.

"Don't worry", Sara understood her and hence patted her.

"Go ahead", Ruby nodded.

Sara nodded and headed inside. As said earlier, the hallway was empty and desolate. Two bodyguards came ahead, "Here, this way, please."

Sara nodded and followed wordlessly. They escorted her upstairs where the private rooms were. So, they booked a private room as she thought.

She followed them upstairs slowly. There she was led inside one of the private rooms. To her surprise, she saw someone quite unexpected.

The person saw her as she curled up her lips, "Long time no see, my friend."
