Chapter 446 - Findings

Despite not having ears, when I heard Eve's delicate voice, riddled with worry and some hints of fear, I felt a shrug shaking my soul to its very core. As if her voice served as the anchor for my imagination, the entire plane turned from the eternal darkness with only our two flames lighting it up, to nothing else but endless, green plain, filled with an abundance of grass that despite reaching the heigh of my belt, grew everywhere equally as high.

And standing amongst this grass was the figure that I have just seen lying motionlessly on the crio-bed with my own real eyes, but this time, her face wasn't frozen in the never-changing peace akin to the final rest but was torn between great happiness and great horror.

"Eve…"
