It was on a rainy day in July, Joseph entered the elevator as it slowly took him to the top floor. He entered his office, and sat at his desk, all while looking at the night scenery outside.
Joseph took out his pen and started signing documents. Suddenly he heard a loud sound of broken glass.
As he got up from his chair and rushed to the elevator, a black shadow jumped on him from the room on his right.
It had to be known that Joseph is a former army officer. He reacted quickly and just as he was about to retaliate, He felt immense pain around his waist as he fell down on the floor out cold.
Just as Joseph seemingly woke up and looked around, He was shocked to see that he was, in what seemed to be a questioning room. The classical black window, the table, and the chairs.
He understood at once that he is suspected to have done something and was thus captured. He, of course, knew the whole process as he himself had taken part in questioning criminals.
As he was thinking about what he had done that demanded an abduction with such ferociousness, the door opened, and 2 men entered the room.
One was black-haired, he had a police uniform on, Joseph was debating whether he should stand up or something when he saw the second person.
He was a tall man, looking to be 25-30 years old and was slightly handsome. His red hair was his most striking feature, though his silky white skin does not fall far behind.
Joseph was shocked to see him here, he was his business partner, his sworn brother, Arthur.
Normally, you would think that Joseph should be happy to see him here, as he will help him get out, but Joseph saw the slight smirk on Arthur's face and he instantly formed an understanding of what must have happened.
The 2 men each sat on a chair as they looked at Joseph with contempt.
Joseph could not hold it in anymore and decided to reason with the policeman.
"Look, officer, I don't know what you're suspecting me of, I have honestly done nothing."
The police officer smiled knowingly as he threw a set of documents on the table. As Joseph scrambled to open, and then look through them, with his cuffed hands, his face turned unsightly. His rage increased as he glared at Arthur.
"You see mister Frankfurt, we have solid evidence on your schemes, we don't even need to ask you anything, your grand money washing method is enough to satiate the higher-ups, as he is your companion, we made sure to let you meet for one last time before you leave for that cold, dark place, that shall be your new home. Take your time, we are not in a hurry."
As he said that, the man stood up, and left the room. Arthur looked Joseph in the eye and slowly said with a sarcastic face:
"Well, hello there, Joseph, I'm sure you have many quest-.."
Before Arthur could continue, Joseph smacked the table while yelling with a desperate voice.
BAMMM
"WHY? Just why did you betray me?"
Hearing that, Arthur smiled and said:
"You fool, I've been supporting you for over 16 years now, have you never even suspected that I might someday betray you?"
"NO, of course not! You have been my brother since the army, we fought together, we always had each other's back, how could I doubt your sincerity, now I see just how large of an error I made, it's sad, but it's already too late, I have nothing to talk to you about, leave"
"You never change, Jo-.."
"I SAID LEAVE, Don't make me repeat myself"
Hearing that, Arthur slowly stood up with a sour taste in his mouth and left the room. Shortly, the officer came back, while holding a taser and said:
"Well, Joseph, its time you leave here for a better place."
The officer pointed the gun to Joseph and pulled the trigger,
PSHOOW!
Joseph was momentarily startled by the sound of the projectile being launched, however, he immediately felt the current pass through his body as his vision blackened.
