Chapter 6 - : Leaving one’s home

It has been 7 years now, Cheng Hua finally started some physical training as he did not like that his vitality was so falling behind his intelligence.

Every day, in the morning he would do a run around the village, totaling to around 2 km of damaged terrain marathon and then some stretching exercises as he did not want to traumatize his body. Obviously he took a long time to finish these, it was also difficult, however, as they say, no pain no gain. Slowly he was getting more fit and felt easy when exercising.

Cheng Hua got to know that the town he lived in was called Autumn Snow, something that made him chuckle for some while before he got used to the naming sense of these people.

Over the course of these 7 years, Cheng Hua got a couple of new skills

These he got when a strong youth, apparently from a affluent family in the north passed by in his travels, he showed off his sword skills in a fight againsted his tamed beast, a dark brown lion with thick mane and two tusks growing from its maw, quite fear inspiring indeed.

Cheng Hua was naturally only happy to have more skills as he slowly got used to them. The only thing that saddened him was the fact that they did not seem to increase in level at all, the [Wind's Blessing] that he so desired to train did not improve even after 6 years, Cheng Hua speculated that it was because he still did not start qi training and the skills he had now were sort of in battery saving mode, working just fine, but not to their full potential.

He also learned a lot of things about the world he was currently in. The planet was composed of one single gigantic continent, its size was around 100 times that of earth, a continent, only one , 100 times the size of earth! Even Cheng Hua was shocked when he heard, what more, the continent was encircled by water which no one ever saw the end of.

The continent was surprisingly ruled by a single family of martial artists, the Zhu Clan, and so it was called The Zhu Empire, the imperial family was the strongest currently known force.

The continent had all types of regions: snowy mountain peaks, hot deserts, lush forests, deep ravines, and many others that can not be counted.

The Autumn Snow village was under the rule of the Cao Family, one of the 27 Aristocratic families under the one of the 248 kingdoms under the Imperial power. His kingdom was situated on the northeast of the continents, relatively on land, and had a small strip of grassland that connected to the never-ending ocean.

The village had a forest to its east that then continued into a desert, to the west there was a gigantic mountain range that crossed over half of the continent, on the north side there were a big portion of plains, while in the south there was a stinky swamp, the only road out of the village leads to the Violet Sky city., southwest from their humble settlement.

It was quite a lot bit of knowledge that he accumulated, considering that he was only 7 years old, but he already knew so much about the world, while the other kids of his age were busy playing, Cheng Hua was seen by the villagers as a child prodigy and someone that will bring great fortune to their village.

And so his family was exempted from a part of the taxes, as they were more respected by the villagers, seeing this, Cheng Hua's mother was extremely happy as she spent more time with her child.

Cheng Hua himself willingly helped around the house and his father in the fields as he wanted to grow up muscle faster and help his family more.

His sister was already 14 as she studied in school, she would often teach Cheng Hua random things, then looked around to see if no one heard her before patting the child on his head. He learned quickly compared to herself, thought Cheng Xue, how could she know that Cheng Hua already possessed the knowledge of a middle-aged man after coming from a more advanced and civilized future.

His father did not have any big changes in behavior as he still gave it his all to work and support his family. If anything, his broad shoulders that screamed of pride of having a prodigy as his soon seemed to have fallen lately

Everything was good, and soon Cheng Hua was enrolled in the village school.

He of course tried to reject going to such a place as he doubted he could learn anything from there, however, how could he a 7 years old child go against his mother's will?

After a short while of scolding, Cheng Hua finally agreed to frequent school.

Days passed quickly as years flew by, today was Cheng Hua's 14 birthday. His family celebrated together as his sister was envious of her brother being given such treatment.

However she did not think of him as a burden, she was often backed up by him at school, and when someone dared to bully her, her little brother would go and beat them until they kowtowed to her and begged forgiveness. She still had no idea how her brother was so strong despite being so small, it never occurred to her that those strange rituals he did in the morning might have developed his muscles.

As such the whole village teens knew it was a no-no to be rude to her, and honestly, she was the happiest to have such an outstanding brother, even the village leader often came by their house to strike up conversations.

As the day came to an end, Cheng Hua laid on their communal, but now more spacious floor-bed as he called his status window

His stats have risen by quite a bit in this period of time, as he trained every day, he had a sturdy physique and looked extremely manly, which seemed inappropriate as he was only 14. the boys his age had a measly 15 points in strength, Cheng Hua could easily overpower them with one hand using brute force, not to speak of his amazing techniques.

But who would bother themselves about such small details? Everyone was happy to see one of their brethren grow strong.

Of course, not everyone... there were a couple of jealous individuals, but Cheng Hua took special care to make it clear who was the boss.

All being said, everyone should be happy to celebrate Cheng Hua's 14th' birthday, but that was not so, because Cheng Hua was to leave to take the entrance exam of the Coiling Snake sect, they were sad to see him go, as the whole village was in higher spirits with him around.

Noone even doubted Cheng Hua's ability to join the sect, if not him then who? That was what the villagers said to the scarce travelers that pass by the village and saw the child.

Cheng Hua himself was sad to see that tomorrow he will leave his house, however, he was not sad because he will not see his family for a long period, he was sad because from when he was 7 years old, he had not gotten any new skills, not even one!

Of course, Cheng Hua did feel the incoming leave looming in his heart as he has grown to appreciate his new family to the core, he could swear that if anything happened to them while he was gone he would even go to the emperor to demand explanations for such an outcome.

Thinking about how his future is only beginning Cheng Hua fell asleep.

The next morning before getting on his journey, he showed his father the whole military training course of his former life so his father could keep in better shape. He also hoped that his father would train the young ones after he himself had grown even stronger so that their village will be full of healthy and vigorous children.

As he himself finished the usual workout, he left his home with a simple bag filled with clothes and food, together with a small sum of money. After saying goodbye to everyone he knew and hugging his family for a full-on 5 minutes, he turned around and left through the village gate, onward to a better life, in search of adventures.

Looking at his distancing back, some more weak-willed villagers could not hold their tears as they saw the so loved kid leave his den to return someday as a real man.
