(Osric)
"Melissa why don't you step outside as well, patrol the building for me will you?"
My brother told the lady beside him. She had a demon aura but something wasn't right. It wasn't as aggressive and didn't have a native feel to it, could it have been possible that, no that's impossible. Demons and humans don't know the existence of each other. Crossbreeding is out of the question.
"Yes sir,"
Melissa replied and left the room, my eyes never left my brother's, our gold eyes identical, reflecting the light with gold specks floating around at the build up of power.
"So then, let's talk, Cyrille,"
My brother said as his voice dropped back down to its usual baritone pitch.
"As my younger brother what are you doing playing around in this world, regalia is without anyone of the line capable of ruling. "
I scolded August.
"I was here before you disappeared, I was surprised when I first sensed you,"
He must of been talking about the first day, I was questioning my senses as well.
"I'm here to train Noah to being a capable ruler, you haven't been told this yet as you are without a child but this school is the training grounds for future rulers. "
That's why the situation here was so similar to Regalia. That's that answered and why he was here in the first place. It's true that he left unannounced before my disappearance. Wait, if both of us are here doesn't that mean.
"Is Luella in regalia by herself?!"
I questioned with worry.
"Your being too overprotective of her, your not her father, and she's already 10 years old."
What? Only ten? That's no excuse she's still young and what if the castle is attacked, if none of us are there to protect her then she's going to die!
"I'm returning as soon as possible, tell me how since father was oh so kind as to not inform me about crossing the border,"
I told him hastily. I needed to protect her and Regalia.
"First answer me this, why are you here? It's not like you to abandon your duties, even less likely to leave Ella by herself,"
August used the nickname that he gave her, this made me even more desperate to go back. I'll come back for my heir later.
"Do you think Luella hates me for leaving her?"
I asked my brother in worry. If my little baby sister hated me I don't know what I'd do. He chuckled at me.
"I think she'd be relieved at the freedom,"
I grumbled are his words.
"Grandfather is taking care of her, she'll be fine,"
That did not comfort me at all, it has to be either one of us. Father is too busy with mother, grandfather always has work to do, I don't think they keep a tight enough watch on her.
"She will not be,"
"She will, now tell me about that child with the strange presence,"
" I'm currently stuck in this world because currently I am in a contract with that child,"
He raised his eyebrows.
"That's kid that walked upstairs?"
I nodded.
"He is very queer but I don't sense anything particularly special about him, so why is he already upgraded by three names?"
Right, I have a subconscious grading system of people, well this is for children as I have a seperate one for adults but it goes infant, kid, child, nipper, juvenile and finally youngster. It doesn't make exact sense but it's a system that my subconscious created, aka my demon self.
"He's hiding, he had that much potential, and remember the rule for human demon summoning."
He thought then his eyes widened.
"The human can only summon a demon as powerful as themselves."
He muttered under his breath making the realisation. This is the reason why we were told to not worry about being summoned.
"And he is able to hide his power to an extent where even I think he is normal. This is extraordinary,"
He landed a hand on my shoulder.
" I approved of your choice for an heir. Now you won't have to get married, good for you,"
I nodded and mentally smiled at the relaxing thought of no more females trying to crawl into my bed.
"By the way your hopes of going back are nil. "
"What?!!"
I shouted at him. What about Luella?!
"No, I am going back!"
August sighed.
"You can't,"
He said to me without batting an eyelash at my desperate tone.
"I know you know something,"
His eyebrows raised at my words.
"And what makes you so sure,"
I smiled a sly smile.
"Because a person like you would of already figured it out."
He smiled back at me in defeat and gave in.
"There might be one way but it's only a theory. It's for you to take him with you to Regalia and as soon as you get there make sure that he is supplied with air,"
I thought about it, it made sense and I won't have to leave him and complicate things. Yes, this is it and also my answer on how to take him back to regalia. Killing an army with one sword, brother, at these times I'm so glad you're my brother.
"Are you done?"
A sarcastic voice from the corridor came in and I realised it was Noah, August's son. He didn't look like August at all, looks like he got all his looks from Leona but his attitude from August. With chocolate brown hair with a slight blue sheen and golden eyes which were the only thing he inherited from his father. His slim figure didn't look at all like August's far more muscular but lean structure and his facial features seemed identical to Leona.
"Where's Michael,"
He looked at me.
"That's why I came down, he's upstairs, I think you better come with me,"
My brows furrowed, what did he mean?
I went upstairs and my eyes landed on the child, asleep on the concrete floor with the wind brushing against him. Isn't he cold? I went ahead to carry him on my back and let his head rest in my shoulders.
I walked past the astonished Noah who obviously didn't expect me to do what I did. I walked past him and into the room. I laid him on the table and abandoned my trench coat as I laid it over his body.
August looked at me with wide eyes. So I cocked my head in question and asked.
"What?"
