"So, demons, what did you do?"
I asked him as we sat down at the dining table and the lights were turned on, though it flickered every few seconds it was better then not being able to see Elijah and my surroundings at all.
"I made a contract, in fact I've prepared everything for you to make a contract of your own."
He smiled and was about to get up, probably to show me the preparation.
"Wait, sit back down, i want you to tell me everything before you show me anything,"
He looked back and smiled then nodded his head and sat back down.
"The demons I made a contract with are known as the Palisade brothers, as you should of guessed they were guards before they made the contract. According to them when summoned, on their end I was pulling them out of their world and onto ours. After the contract they can not disobey orders, they just physically can't.
Back then they told me that they were guards of the door to the throne room of the demon king's palace. I do wonder what would happen if they went back now. "
He chuckled, I wasn't really that surprised at their explanations, if heaven and hell clashed the remainder of that of course built itself up again. Common sense.
"A contract is a deal, so your basically making a deal with the devil. It's when you ask the demon you summoned for help to achieve an objective and when that objective is achieved they usually eat your soul. If you summon a demon but your not ready to ask the demon for help or your request is not something you wish from your head he or she is immediately sent back. Do you get it now?"
I nodded slowly at his explanations. Do I really want to make a contract? No, of course not. I'm already overpowered, don't need a demon as a servant thank you very much. At the same time he went through all the trouble of explaining and preparing everything. No, don't think of it like that, he's the enemy now, no matter how much he meant to you in childhood he's become the enemy. Ok heart?
Good.
I still wanted to go ahead with the contract. I wasn't sure why or maybe it's just because of my traitorous heart.
"Let's talk about the conditions,"
I told him for a change of subject, that was the first thing that came up after I thought about topic change. This topic was also an opportunity for me to experience the world for a child that I never knew of.
"Ok then, let's see."
He said as he went to get something. He came back with a piece of paper and a pen.
"Which school do you want to go to?"
Was the first question he asked, he wrote school down in his normal cursive and I looked at it for some time before answering.
"Just a school that won't let me get founded, I don't care if it's rowdy or quiet, poor or rich. "
He looked at me while thinking, tapping the end of the pen in his cheek.
"The best thing for that would be to move you around schools, starting with something not so great, then a rich one, then public then normal, then selective and then back to the not so great one. That's the best pattern,"
I thought about what he said and when my train of thought continued all the pieces started to fit, and to think that he thought it up in less then a minute.
"What do you think of the not so great one then? Don't take me into consideration, what would be the best choice for not getting founded?"
I asked. He visibly winced at that and I gave him a questioning look.
"Without taking anyone into consideration the best option would be Scurra, or more known as The School of Jokers."
I know I asked him to not take me into consideration but Scurra? That school is known for being full of delinquents. But... that might be fun to go try it out. Never been to a school full of crazy people. Might be able to let loose.
"I'll go,"
I told him calmly, he immediately went to check my temperature then feel my pulse.
"Are you sick?"
"Uhhhh, no?"
I told him awkwardly, why would I be sick?
"You realised I said Scurra, the school of jokers, right? "
"Yep,"
I said while doing a big nod at him. He sighed at my reaction.
"School of delinquents?"
"Yep,"
I said again.
"I'll get the paper work done and I'm also going to give you a phone. You can pull out any time ok? And think about your decision,"
He seemed to be resistant to the idea but I'm not at all, since I can pull out any time (which I don't plan to do) I've got nothing to loose.
"Thank you,"
I told him.
"What about the other schools,"
"Since Scurra is located in Hurrel, Ameria we might as well move you to the other side of the country for better chances."
I nodded at his explanation.
"So the next school I'm proposing you go to would be, St Leopold."
"Ok, I agree with that."
He wrote it down then looked back up and continued talking.
"As time goes we can decide the remaining schools depending on how it goes. Now, university, what is your preferred one,"
I thought about it, what fields are there? There's the environment, medical, Anastasia already does that and from one of the conversations I've found out that engineering was taken by Kong, always knew he was the smarter twin. There's also... educational! I like schools and I'm an all rounder, might as well be a teacher.
"I want to go to a well rounded uni,"
He wrote stuff down again and nodded his head while doing so. He then placed the pen down on the table and folded the piece of paper in half and placed it in his pocket. He then stood up out of his chair.
"Now that that's all done I can show you how the demon contract works,"
