Chapter 84 - A Last Day to Remember (3)

The warm light that was fixing everyone's emotional strain died out leaving Eleanor, the magician behind it standing there with eyes that were glazed over. The eyelids began blinking, but it was more like she was trying to keep them open then her trying to wake herself up.

Her head dropped and her eyes closed leaving only her body to buckle. I rushed forward with a push of the legs and slid on my knees just in time to catch her midair and land her on my lap. I didn't care about the billion dollar red suit sliding on the floor.

I looked at her face, bags under her eyes were prominent and she hands. I overturned them to find them smooth and healthy. Looks like she doesn't know how to focus her light yet, they also healed her own hands.

My fingers moved on her palm and rubbed the smooth skin. My chest suddenly didn't feel as good, feelings don't need healing, they need time. I thought you knew that Fox.

I looked around the room.

"Can you get some cloths and create a makeshift bed?"

I asked the frozen people in the room. They had a slow reaction but eventually got what I was saying. They looked dazed at the fact that Eleanor fell out of exhaustion just from healing mental wounds.

"If we all got that same pain don't you think Elly did as well. Anastasia asked with realisation. There was a paused in the room for a moment but that was quickly filled up with background chatter.

The guests of the ball should be arriving now then. All the high class members judging the future leaders of the world. Not pleasant.

I carried her, bridal style, and laid her on top of the bed of cloths. I sat down with my legs out and had a look at them. There wasn't a speck on it. This room must of been cleaned right before we got here. I wonder who the caretakers of this building are? We knew that there were caretakers since the day we saw that mowed lawn on the first day to the castle.

After about 10 minutes of stress, waiting for the sleeping princess to wake up I finally sensed movement from her. A twitch of the hand and then a twitch of a muscle. She was slowly waking up. I went over and everyone followed hastily. Her eyes started to flutter open and she looked up. I think we scared her a bit, she looked up to see 5 heads instead of the white ceiling.

We stopped hadn't been called outside to the room yet but the chatter was still going and there was now orchestral music. That means the dances had started.

Yuri then came in to she is all crowded around on the floor, I don't think he saw Eleanor lying down or the makeshift bed.

"10 minutes until your on, get ready,"

He said a simple sentence that didn't encompass any worry.

We then started making sure Eleanor was alright because who wouldn't be worried. She ended up just giving up on saying 'I'm fine'.

"I just healed your emotional stress but now your just developing more, what did I faint for?"

Then we all just shut up about it. But Dominic then muttered.

"Why did you fall unconscious on us, it was f*cking scary you know."

Eleanor went up and kissed him on the cheek.

"I'm sorry,"

I think I saw Dominic turn red in that moment, or in better words, blush at that light peck.

"Don't we deserve something from out teacher,"

"It's only fair,"

The tigers said to Eleanor. She lifted an eyebrow and gave a little giggle before giving in to their antiques. She went up to them and gave them both a hug.

She then went up to Anastasia and hugged her as well then apologised.

"You should be sorry, you made me so worried, and scared, your not going to die anytime soon, I will make sure of that,"

Her lecture turned into sincere words of a promise.

"That's what doctors are for, right?"

Anastasia just nodded at Eleanor's words.

She then came up to me and hugged me, I didn't know what to do so I just hugged her back. I haven't been hugged like this in years. It felt, nice.

"Thank you for catching me, just like you always do,"

"Don't die on us,"

We then all sat down in smiles and started up another game but we didn't get far into it because Yuri came knocking on our door.

"Act like the nobles you are,"

The message he gave us was clear, don't mess this up.

We followed him out the door with all our smiles wiped. In place we're our masks and a business face of seriousness. Out the door and continuing down the hallway. We didn't go back the way we came but just kept going until we reached the next door. On this door it had a sliver sign that read, gallery exit 2.

He pushed opened the door while eyeing each one of up individually to emphasis how important this event is to both us and our futures.

The first thing we saw were the thrones. Seems we are at the front.

We filed on and went up to the railing of smooth wood. Everyone all looked up and simultaneously all greeted us.

"Good evening, esteemed heirs of nobility."

They said as they all did a bow. I use to feel awkward in situation like this but now I'm use to it and question these things, why bow down to a person of higher status.

"Good evening ladies and gentlemen and thank you for coming to our personally held ball, tonight it will be drinks and all. Please enjoy yourselves."

I said as a start off. I have rehearsed the speech before as the front person and even said it to Yuri to get some form of approval before I do it in front of the big audience. It's a bit short but these things are suppose to be like this.

"Now, the couple dances will commence and please welcome to your middle our own couple. Dominic Frier Rushell and Eleanor Amirault Zevary. "

I then said, commencing the couple dances. This is apparently the order of events in a ballroom for nobles. I saw the two walk down the stairs and polite applause sounded. Every other couple positioned themselves around the red circle in the middle and the conductor waited until everyone stood still. With a wave wave of his arms the orchestra started.
