We walked to the throne room doors which were just a few steps away and paused. For today, we're we suppose to greet the guests as usual? We looked back at Yuki, he came right up to the doors and pushed them both opened to reveal the redecorated throne room. It now had a gallery and red carpet which covered the floor in the same style as the other room. When the gallery curved around it was bigger at the front and the thrones were there. They somehow got moved up a level and below were just stairs leading up to a set of of chairs. This was probably for the orchestra. My thought was confirmed when the players came in with the stand trolly and started setting up the stands. They all put down there stands and stopped for some reason.
"We welcome you, heirs to nobility,"
They bowed and then continued. So that's what it was. Yuki, I why did you bring us in here if would interrupt their work?! In reality I just stared at him, he looked straight back at me and we had a moment there, an awkward moment.
"You know they would of done it at some point in time and wouldn't you rather it not be in front of everyone else or while their playing?"
He had a good point, my frustration at him bubbled away and I just sighed in response.
"Act like nobility Stallion, your suppose to be above the rest,"
Dominic said as his hand landed on my shoulder.
"Above the rest in status only,"
I emphasised the only in hope for him to get my point, my higher status is only suppose to be used to maintain order. I can't abuse it so easily.
"And species,"
He said back. Your not getting me and as if everyone else would know that. I shook my head as well as shook the point off. He also dropped the topic and we all stood there awkwardly. I looked to Yuri to at least tell us what we were suppose to do.
"Let's go,"
That's what he said and that's what we did. Tailing behind him and heading for the throne room doors but why are we heading out again? We didn't end up going out though, we just turned to the stairs that were leading up to the gallery. We then headed through a door that was at the top of the stairs. I had a quick look down and with the chandelier, I felt like the room was sparkling. There was a corridor that we then went down, it was only white but the white was a dark shade so the lights from the ceiling it reflected off were minimal. We got to a small room down the end and it was like a dressing room you went to before concerts. There were tables attached to the walls with mirror on the wall, clothing was scattered on the cloths line which stood at the far side and there were games on a shelf.
"You will be here until it is your turn to appear,"
That was the last thing he said before he closed the door and walked away.
"That guy doesn't talk much does he?"
Anastasia said in the silence that remained in his leaving.
"Nope, he's a serious person though I have seen him smile, once"
I said back with a hint of nostalgia showing.
"When was that?!"
"I can't ever imagine that guy smiling!"
The tiger twins said in surprise.
"Can you imagine me smiling daily and joking around every minute of the day? "
Dominic said while he was observing the games on the shelf.
"No,"
Everyone said in unison, was it really that unbelievable? Cos that's the truth people.
"Well I did, and it was the same time last year that I stopped,"
Silence, as we all silently implored him to go on.
"That's the end of story time from me,"
He said, I felt a little disappointed at the fact that he almost told everyone, they have a right to know, aren't they your friends?
"D,"
I said, I've heard his friends call him that and I wanted to try. He paused for a split second and I think flinched as well.
"Hey, D"
I said again and the same thing happened. This time he didn't remain silent, he quietly said something. It was weird, I couldn't hear him but I felt an aching in my chest, it didn't make sense, why was I feeling this. My eyes never came after though and that was when I realised, this was what Dominic was feeling.
I saw everyone else also have the same reaction, what's going on. Is this a latent potential?
"What did you say?"
I said, I think it was an accident, I didn't here what he mumbled before.
He then turned around in and shouted.
"I said don't call me that!!"
In a big voice, he was then slightly panting and his nose flared with every breath out. The pain got to the point of being uncomfortable and I said fox putting her hands on her chest. When Dominic went to storm out of the room someone stopped him.
"Stay here, sit down, I want to try something."
I looked back to see fox standing up.
Dominic looked back over his shoulder and did what she said. We were all sitting down together in a group on the floor. Fox moved to the front.
"Move in closer,"
She said and we all shuffled closer together. Dominic's rage wasn't calming and underneath that rage was a big heap of regret and betrayal and sadness. I've felt it before so I want to know why he's feeling it now.
"Spirits of the cherubim angel, please,"
She mouthed these words before she put her hands out and looked at our chests one by one.
Light spilled from her palm and more came then more until it was like a second sun. Beautiful but blinding.
"Close your eyes, don't use your potential,"
This came from fox as she was still building the warm light. It felt comfortable and it might as well be addictive. It was too late to say that as my eyes were already turned. After that the light looked unsteady as if it was about to explode. Though my chest was healing I would see fox's uncomfortable state because of the amount of energy it would need to do what I now know, group healing.
