The next day it was brighter then the day before, with a cloudy day and damp grounds the humidity was reassuring. Like being huddled up in a blanket, for once I didn't find it suffocating or was it more like i was trying to be positive to make our last day the most memorable. Bittersweet moment eh, not too fond of them then again that's what we are trying to create out of this sad day. Bittersweet moments.
We all got up and right away all tried to bring up topics to talk about, with the plentiful amounts of topics we just kept talking and talking as we all in turn brought out games and different activities. Friendly bantering and arguments that were just plain stupid are what usually brought up the laughter, some funny stuff such as bribery for a win of a card game based on luck, trying to cheat in broad daylight and playful snaps at each other that didn't make sense half the time. My cheeks felt like they were laughing so much they were about to work up a sweat. Genuine happiness is a hundred times better then fake, it's not even comparable. I'm glad I didn't refuse the social like I originally wanted to. With hours flying by like seconds on a clock, the sky started to turn in the background of our banter. In the evening we watched our first sunset together at the request of Eleanor and that was such a serene time we had that I just felt content to leave it at that.
"Well, time to get changed,"
I told myself as well as everyone else as we walked back inside with a grin that stretched from ear to ear, I wasn't the only one. Everyone came in with smiles and everyone laughed as much as they did in their life beforehand. We nobles are sometimes just sad people.
We went inside and I had a scan of the room and that included the calendar with told us that today was Friday, the last weekday. No staying for weekends we're just going to leave after the social. I opened the wardrobe but found nothing there.
Yuki, now as my personal guard apparently, came to pick us up from the room to be delivered to the entrance of the ball room. He didn't comment on our casual clothing and instead just took us out with no formal wear on. When we were walking we didn't go to the ballroom, we stopped before we got there and walked down the centre corridor towards the throne room but we didn't go all the way. He went to the side doors beside the throne room and pointed to the one closest.
"Eleanor,"
She just nodded, no need for formalities when we just want to make this a quick progress. Fox headed inside the room and then Yuri moved on to the one next to it.
"Anastasia,"
She didn't nod and just made for the room. Yuri walked to the other side of the corridor then to the one closest to the throne room he pointed.
"Michael,"
I made for the room similar to how Anastasia did and just before I closed the door, Yuri said the door next to mine, it was Dominic's.
I looked in the room. It was like a grand bedroom only with no bed. There was a mirror table, a wardrobe, a couch, a table, everything that you'd expect to find but a bed. On the mirror table there was a bunch of skincare products for men, all the brands were so high end that even I've heard of all of them. The table of sort of in the middle of the room but closer to the couch. I looked inside the wardrobe to see a single set of cloths.
It was an interesting colour combination for a formal evening ball but nevertheless it stuck with the colour scheme of my mask so I guess. It was a red tuxedo with a cream white vest and dress shirt. The jacket that covered it was a deep but bright red. The necktie was of the same colour as the jacket but just a tad bit darker. I'm no fashion designer but will this really look good on a person? Then again it's not like I can find a way out of it, it's the only thing I have currently. I dressed my self up and had a look in the mirror with my mask on, it doesn't actually look that bad. My white blond hair that's at the top fits in with the white of the shirt.
I went outside with my mask still on to see sears suddenly appear. It was another couch without a backrest in the middle of the hallway. There were some more just spread and this made for a good decoration almost at the same time a separator if things get too crowded. Yuri was nowhere to be seen nor sensed. I wonder where he went?
Dominic came out next in a light reddish ochre brown suite with an ochre brown dress shirt and vest that were a bit darker then the jacket. Yuri then came out of one of the girls' rooms and looked at us.
"Go back into your rooms and wait there until I say you can come out,"
He said, after that he disappeared into one of the twins' rooms. Dominic and I looked at each other, I shrugged my shoulders and headed back into my room and as did Dominic. I sat on the couch waiting.
It was about 20 minutes until Yuri came into my room.
"Sit at the mirror table,"
He ordered and then he hastily got around and spread a black barber's cape on me and then started messing with my hair with a comb and some liquids I think. I don't know what he put in my hair but I'll trust his. Then he start applying creams on my face and other stuff. It was a whole lot and then after that session he took off the cape then told me to stand up. I did as he said and then he just pulled in different places of the suit to make it straighter. To be honest I didn't know what to think the whole time nor did I know what he was doing the whole time.
"Your good to go."
He said to be as he opened the room door.
I walked out to see everyone else smiling at me and it wasn't the greeting type, it was like they were being amused, probably by my dazed face of my actual suit of just me. Didn't know I was that amusing to look at.
That... was stressful.
