"Give me that note,"
A stern voice sounded. It was Yuki, he snatched the note from my hands before I could process the note, as if the command he gave before was just a way of informing me. His eyes scanned the note and with tensed hands he looked back up.
"I know that you know who sent you this, so spit it out, in all due respect I am aware of your position compared to mine but this is for the sake of your safety,"
He lowered his eyes to the floor by the end, the power difference isn't that bad yet he's making such an effort to maintain it.
"Elijah,"
He paused and then looked at my eyes again piercingly.
"Elijah Coltus?"
I nodded at his words.
"So this is a family feud,"
I nodded again at his words
"I will go assassinate him personally, and take Yuri for safe measures,"
My eyes widened at his words, no they'll get killed if they try to do that. Tortured. Beaten. Just for information.
"No, I forbid you,"
"But why, isn't he out to kill you or your parents?"
"How did you know that?"
"Simple acts of deduction,"
"I will be your personal guard to make sure nothing happens to you, I will do anything to keep you safe,"
I sighed at his words, I could tell that he was never going to give in. My head hurts from all this thinking. I nodded and flopped down on my bed out of exhaustion. I heard the door open but didn't get up, why isn't there air conditioner in here? Especially on a hot day like this one.
"Someone's dying in here,"
Anastasia said as she went into the room.
"Are you ok?"
Eleanor asked as she sat down next to my laid down figure.
"Fine and dandy,"
I said while rolling over to my side to face her. I smiled to show the truth in my statement but she wasn't buying it. Then, out of my peripherals I sure lioness coming up to my bed and sitting down beside Fox. She immediately put her hand on my forehead while pushing the hair in the way, back.
She then felt her own and looked at me.
"Fever, quite high, I'm a little concerned about your blood pressure because you look exhausted. "
"Stallion has a fever?"
"We'll run and get some equipment,"
"What do you need?"
The tigers said while standing up and heading to the door to put their shoes on.
"A blood pressure kit, a little towel and a thermometer."
Anastasia replied to them. She looked back at me then at Eleanor.
"Make sure he doesn't get out of bed,"
Eleanor nodded back.
Lioness got up and went to the cupboards on the other side of the room. She opened the doors and bent down, searching for something, she finally got her arms around then walked back.
"Some spare blankets. "
She said while laying them on me. I instantly felt warmer and then I realised that my body was cold before. I ran my fingers over the goosebumps that were disappearing. Though it was warmer, I felt as if my head was getting dizzy. The twins came back from the castle and I felt some disappointment. Was I hoping that someone from the castle would come to check on me? I threw that thought out of my head. Loneliness is for someone who is dependent. I can't be be dependent on someone, I can't afford to.
Anastasia grabbed the equipment from the arms of the tigers and set them on the floor beside her.
"Arm up,"
I followed her instructions and she stuck the cold metal thermometer in my armpit. It was an unpleasant feeling but very bare able.
"Old day tech, going to take a few minutes. "
She muttered to herself. She then grabbed the towel and went to the bathroom to soak it in cold water. She came back and placed it on my burning forehead.
This time instead of asking she lifted my arm up herself and took the thermometer out. I stuck my arm back into the blanket quickly and look at her, waiting for a result.
"45 degrees,"
She then put the thermometer down quickly and ordered the twins to get some medicine quickly. After that, my vision was starting to get blurry. She hastily put the blood pressure strap around my arm and started pumping the air. It was uncomfortably tight and my mind was going in and out of conscience.
"90, he's going to faint if this keeps going."
The towel on my head was now the same temperature as my head. Fox grabbed the towel and replenished it then place the cold towel back on my forehead.
"You'll get better, only a little fever,"
Eleanor muttered. By this time my eyes were too heavy to keep open. The door opened again and the twins came back with medicine.
"We got the medicine,"
They both said together, they handed it to Anastasia who poured in to the cup without looking at the measurements, tipping my head back forcefully she tipped the bitter tasting liquid into my open mouth and then closed the mouth and blocked the nose, forcing me to swallow the liquid. I let out a breath after I swallowed and Lioness let me head down on the pillow.
My conscious was beginning to fade, as if I was being forced to sleep. It was a dizzy experience like I was going round and round but I am still, it caused my legs to twitch a few times.
"A banana,"
Anastasia shouted at everyone.
I imagined their looks of confusion in the silence that followed.
"He needs sustenance, bananas are the best choice right now."
"Here,"
I heard Dominic say. Suddenly my head was lifted again and I was seated upright, this helped my head ache a bit.
"Eat,"
I heard Anastasia say. With my conscience still fading I got all the energy I could to eat before the long hibernation which awaits me. I chewed on the banana and it helped distract me from the dizziness and extreme uncomfortableness, my eyes were closed the entire time, they were too heavy to open. When I finished it, i laid back into the bed and let the darkness take me and my consciousness fall into subconsciousness. All the noise from the outside was muffled out and became silence and suddenly, it was just my subconscious and the darkness in my mind.
