Chapter 62 - The Consequences of a Simple Spar

As soon as I said the word I thought a second after that I just signed my own death warrant. In a flash of white he disappeared from in front of me. I turned around swiftly doing a quick 360 to check where he was but he was quicker. It's impossible that he would just disappear so that means he was so quick he stayed in my blind spot the entire time. At that point I knew that I lost from the start. The huge gap between him and I was bigger then the Earth to the sun. Not in a millennium would I catch up to that inhuman speed. I still had to try, I can't go down because of an old man without a fight!

I was on high alert the whole time but that didn't stop him from coming in from the back and doing a quick slash. I arched my back on instinct but that was a mistake. I felt my flesh being cut and blood seeping out of the fresh wound slowly but surely. Seems like he missed the arteries on purpose. Arching my back wasted precious time in this battle of milliseconds because it gave him time to circle around the front. In that moment, time stopped and I could see him with glowing eyes and dancing hair with his hands out to defend the whole way. Bent down low he made himself scarce but at that moment I could clearly see him. With my body in an awkward position I forced myself back up with strength I didn't intense to use as I didn't want to drain my energy supply but that never crossed my mind at that moment. I took advantage of my pale, strong hands which held the claws of myths and reached out with straight fingers. With a quick slash I went for the eyes as they were a major weak point. He saw this and with speed even quicker then before the backed out but I celebrated a small victory as a small cut started to form on the bridge of his straight nose. Blood eventually came out but only a small amount before the wound dried out and all that was left was the line of dried blood. His eyes widened a fraction from my achievement and he smiled at me with familiar pride, as if I was one of his kin.

He flew back and felt his nose.

"That's all you need to do, you can go join the group outside,"

I let out a breath that I didn't know I was holding and I could finally breath deeply as most of the previous stress and anxiety left me as did the adrenaline of the fight. I walked towards the door quite quickly as I didn't really want him to change his mind and 'test' me more. I pushed the door open with little difficulty compared to before and a smile crawled into my lips as I escaped the death I saw in front of me.

"So what did you get?"

Lioness greeted me with a straightforward question, as expected of her. She expected a straightforward answer back so, just to piss her off.

"Time will tell."

I repeated the small fraction of the crazy old man's words.

"What happened to Michael, why are the words coming out of his mouth weird?"

She whispered to Fox loud enough for the group to hear. I frowned out her words, that didn't do anything that it was intended to do!

"I don't think anything happened to him."

"He's just trying to piss you off."

"But you pissed him off instead,"

And with that the tigers just laughed harder.

"So dumb,"

Dominic said as he covered his face with a hand and failed to suppress a laugh as he shook his head at me.

"Why is nobody on my side?"

I complained just to play along, I forgot all about the stinging pain on my back until.

"Let's get your back to the dorm, I got to check your mental health as well as that slash on her back."

Whoops.

We were aloud to walk back meaning classes have ended for the day.

'Click'

The door to the throne room locked and that was it for the day. We walked back talking and laughing with the sky of dusk in the background. The warm tones lit up the under bellies of the clouds which started to disappear to an eye which has no light of its own. I then thought of something as that came in. Why did they not ask about my eyes? Or hair? Not every day a person goes into a room normal and comes out with red tipped white hair, ghostly pale skin and red eyes.

We entered the room and I went to go and flop in my bed before a stern voice stopped me.

"Don't."

I froze in place as slowly turned around to see Anastasia with her hands on her hips. The tigers past me and had a hand in each of my shoulders.

"I feel bad for you man,"

"You really got bad luck,"

They then left and continued their path but they didn't even get to continue another centimetre.

"And where do you two thing your going?"

With raised eyebrows and a commanding voice they simultaneously turned around slowly with their hands up.

"Dear sister, could you please let us go?"

"We don't have any injuries, so please,"

They begged with weak voices.

"Which is why your going to help with the treatment. Or do you not care about Me Coltus over here?"

She asked them accusingly trying to guilt trip them.

I took the chance with gusto.

I placed one hand on each of their shoulders and said.

"I feel sorry for you guys, you really have bad luck,"

My voice dripping with sarcasm and playful mockery as they turned heads and double glared at me.

We all sighed before walking towards the devil we call a doctor.

She pointed towards the chair and I sat down obediently. The tigers were asked to hold me straight so that my spine wouldn't move. One of them held my chest area straight and the other my stomach area. I admit it was an awkward position but who dared argue with the devil?

She applied the treatment with little trouble on her side. I was in pain so I did what my reflexes told me to do, escape. This then made the tigers job harder as they tried to hold me still. The was a lot of struggling but Anastasia was applying the treatment as if she was finger painting in a lovely day. Eleanor was just mocking us by not trying to hide her laughter at all as she watched the live comedy show in front of her.

"Done,"

Anastasia said with a cheerful voice, all of us let out a sigh of relief. Who said boys were stronger then girls? We obviously don't have the mental capacity to keep up with them!

I pursued my previous goal and went to flop on my bed in exhaustion and laziness. I groaned when I realised we had to go through the same thing tomorrow and the day after and the day after that until the year ended! When am I ever going to get proper rest. Talking about rest that reminded me again that I still had homework! God are you even going to help me?
