Chereads / The Unwilling Heir / Chapter 61 - My Potential...

Chapter 61 - My Potential...

I had platinum blonde hair, pale skin, and red eyes, almost like a vampire or, in a more realistic sense, like I had albinism. The unnatural things started as my eyes traced my hair from the white tips to the red tips. On the very tips of my hair, red stained the pristine white tips of my hair which was also glowing, which means that it turned because of a potential. My eyes were a fiery red, they made me look more like a vampire then a person who had albinism because they had grey eyes. They contrasted from my ghostly skin and made it look like they were glowing. The thing was they were glowing but my vision didn't seem any different then normal. I then remembered the sensation on my hands so I looked down with little difficultly this time and found claws that looked like Anastasia's but different. They looked a lot stronger then Anastasia's fragile but sharp nails. Basically mine were more of a frontal attacker being strong and sharp but Anastasia's could be used for more surprise attacks. They are sharp so quick slashed would do damage but direct attacks would do no good.

I looked at my veiny hands and stared at my hands which looked powerful. They were meant for killing.

Actually, now that I'm looking down, my body glows as well. Does that mean I have three potentials?! Is this gods way apologising because I did not ask for overpowered potentials thank you very much.

(I'm sorry, it's not god, it's your lovely author. Did I not do enough for you to have a happy overpowered life? - Author)

Althgar narrowed his eyes as if trying to see me. But couldn't he already see me?

I looked down again and I seemed pretty seeable to be honest.

"Congratulations my s-student, you have an impressive pick.

You have received its eyes, ethereal and instinct. You have talent in potential that hasn't been seen in many years. "

What was strange with that? Everything. He hesitated when he was staying student for one, he worded everything weirdly it's not like he'd just say I have talent that hasn't been seen in many years so casually, like he was just explaining a story that happened on the weekend. Also he didn't say which mythical I recurved my skills from and non of it explains my red tipped hair or sudden case of albinism. I seriously look like a punk vampire, all I need now are some nose piercings and cloths to match.

"Young colt, you know what your potentials do soon. Do not worry, all will be revealed with time rusting away it's closure. "

He said some interesting words in an interesting order but none of that impressed me. I was very mad. Why? Just why would you leave this unexplained, tell me why you idiot. Im done playing around waiting for time to catch up with my curiosity so I'll just wait for you instead of time.

"What is you tell me now, what could the consequences possibly be by just revealing a bit of information for me to get the point."

I asserted my words in a firm way so that he'd listen to every single word that came out of my mouth. All I need right now are answered not questions!

He just looked at me.

"Think about your words before you try to push them into me young one. "

Of course, that's what you'd say. You have never nor will ever give me a straight answer will you? I know you can read my thoughts so answer them old man!

Wait, what would be the consequences? Well don't care don't want to know. What's most important are the answers. Is there another power behind this whole thing? No, can't be. Or is there? I brushed my red tipped white hair in frustration with furrowed eyebrows to match. I hate when life just gives you unwanted gifts.

"Whatever,"

I left towards the big doors of the exit and pushed the open to then find out I couldn't.

"You cannot leave yet, first I'll need to do some premature tests, then you can join the group."

I gritted my teeth at his provocative words and that will to rebel flared, but still albeit reluctantly went back like the good little boy I was raised to be.

"I'm going to give you the potential seekers force again and you have to tell me which part on me is covered in mist."

The warm clothing came back and I welcomed it with half open arms. It was comfortable that feeling, cozy and warm but the most important thing was that it made me feel safe. I had nothing else on me but having that sensation just makes me feel safer then usual.

I looked at Althgar and my eye sight was easily drawn to his left leg where the collection of hair emphasised it.

"Left leg,"

I kept my answered simple. Less words, less attention, less trouble. That's how I think. Though following this train of though it's a bit lonely,

He nodded then said something else that was not expected of him.

"Let's spar"

Will the heavy clothing sensation drag me down? But it's not physically there

"Hold on, can you just answer me one question that isn't related to my potentials or school?"

He thought about it with his sculpted elven face looking as youthful as ever.

"Ok, but I might not answer,"

"How old are you?"

He looked young, a little around late 20's but seriously? No he should be older. I think.

"I'm around 990, maybe less maybe more. All I know is that I'm not 1000 yet. Thank goodness. "

My mind went blank. Excuse me?! No human has lived past 150 years old but your telling me your close to 1000?! God I feel like old doesn't even define you any more. I finally registered the information and connected it, it made sense, it really did. I did a background check on the guy before and it said that he was dead at 125 years old. That's the oldest age that's believable but still impressive. It seemed that the noble heads updated it on his orders because if they were told to take a picture of his on his deathbed, that would've been difficult. If the top families in the world all agreed a to cover something up then it would've been like it never existed.

"Let is spar now,"

He announced confidently while holding his hands up in a defensive ready position so answered him in the same way physically.

"Ready!"
