Chapter 37 - A Letter from Althgar

Inside it was a complete contrast to the outside, it was clean pristine and honestly looked like a good quality 4 star hotel.

I nodded at the interior and went back out.

"It's fine inside,"

The guys then went inside after me and also nodded in approval at the contrast.

"So they bothered to renovate inside but not out?? Why?"

"Calm down Fox it's not that bad. "

She had a point though, why.

Us high class are all about showing off so why not the same today? They only bothered with the inside and didn't care if the reputation was ruined because of the books cover.

Inside it was basically a bedroom, there were 5 beds with an en-suite, kitchenette in the corner, multiple desks placed systematically around the room and an open space in the middle. The floor was wood in the middle while carpet then came in when they got in close proximity with the beds, the en-suite was of course tiling and there was a giant chandelier in the middle of the room emitting a soft glow of warm light.

All in all the room was basically a private suite of a 4-5 star hotel.

"This is my bed!"

She landed herself flat on the bed stretched out while throwing her luggage on the floor next to the bed. Fox seemed to be over the whole ordeal and has chosen her bed, I glanced over at Dominic who didn't even pay any attention to her enthusiasm. She picked the one of the far right which had a window right next to it.

"Then these are ours,"

The twins said simultaneously. They then moved the beds one at a time to have some distance from the rest of the beds. They walked over to then get their baggage to place beside the bed.

"I'll take this one,"

This came from Dominic who chose the bed closest to Fox, he seemed indifferent. Was this just for show or did he really like Fox?

He walked over calmly and placed his luggage down then sat on the bed.

I walked over to the one bed left vacant which happened to be the one closest to the en-suite and in the far, middle of the room.

Everyone took their shoes off and spent some time just chilling on the beds and getting use to their surroundings.

When I went to go lay on my bed, I noticed something. A minute gap between two of the floor boards, I squinted my eyes and I saw black in between. I stood up and walked over while catching the attention of the others with my sudden movements.

"What it is?"

Keung

"Is there something suspicious?"

Kong

"I don't know yet"

Bent down to knock on the floorboard.

'Du du,'

As this happened, Fox and even Dominic came over to investigate the commotion.

It was hollow inside, so it was either a hidden compartment or just the way the structures foundation was designed. I decided it was better to be safe then sorry so I lifted it up which took little effort. Dust flew up suddenly and everyone subconsciously went to cover their mouth and nose.

Then looked in over me.

It was a small rectangular space, completely black and could barely fit my hand in.

In the middle stood out a piece of white paper which was folded. I went to grab it and everyone leaned in closer to see.

"Read it out loud,"

This came from Fox who seemed to be a bit grumpy she was the furthest away from the price of paper.

I smiled and opened the A4 paper to find it was a letter.

"Dear to whom it may concern,

I have written this letter to the heirs of the noble houses who, if following tradition have just entered early high school.

The Tiger, the Horse and the Humanoid.

You are the important figures and are here for the lesson of your history. Your house's history. Your family's history. The world's history.

Meet at the castle at __o__ ' the next day. Do not be surprised at the outcomes, in brace it and alike your true positions. Place this letter back into the heart of this school of education and let the next generation find it without the knowledge.

May you have a peaceful life.

From yours truly,

Althgar Daemon"

No one knew what to say, it was a complete silence after that unexpected letter.

I went to put the letter back into the compartment that I got it from and spoke.

"Well..."

"That was,"

Keung

"Interesting"

Kong

Dominic nodded slowly and Fox looked like she was in deep thought. The tigers were in obvious shock and speechlessness. What were we suppose to do?

"What time frame did he use back then?"

Dominic commented for the first time.

As I looked at it I slapped myself on the head, I was such an idiot. It was the Sunrise!

The sun was going up and that was shown by the little marking and the sun and land were self explanatory by now.

"It's saying to meet tomorrow at sun rise,"

The tone of voice I used in my head and out loud were totally different, opposites some might say.

One was full of self confidence and arrogance, the other was full of excitement and realisation. This is just what's hammered into people these days.

What were we going to do for the rest of the night though?

It would be awkward because no one can go to sleep this early, the sun was still up though already orange it was still considered too early to sleep. The glow through the window was enough that the chandelier in the middle didn't need to be turned on. I doubt anything brought anything to do so I stood up and started to search around the room.

Cabinets, draws, bookshelves everywhere. Even though I was looked at weirdly it was worth it in the end. I would rather embarrass myself then sit in awkward silence for a few hours. Who wouldn't?
