Another week of school has past. One more location, if she's not there then I'm giving up on this case and giving it to the police. Life is so tiring, I might even get depressions at this rate.
I was practicing my hacking skills like I have been doing in every second of my free time, I need to improve. Last location today.
The clock hit 7 and I texted Mark while putting my laptop away. Walking down again, Mark looked at me knowingly.
"Last place, lets get it over and done with," I said to him as I got in the limousine.
"Whatever you say boss,"
He got off the car and headed to the drivers seat with the keys jingling.
I got out my laptop again this time to improve hand speed.
"69 Poplar Avenue, Kiddle."
This location was the least related to the topics vs the other two but it also had a lot of missing info which made it suspicious so I decided to go and check it out anyway.
Clucking was heard throughout the entire trip, I was desperately trying to improve my skills, after all those failed hacking trips I went on I realised how much skill I lacked.
I will become the best if I need to in order to hack every website ever created.
I didn't realise it at the moment but I was becoming more and more like a noble heir. Wanting to be the best at everything and have nothing stand in my way. I was starting further away from my childhood dream and I didn't even do anything to fix it.
...
We arrive at a normal household. It was one of many along the street, the shiny gold numbers 69 were glistening in the sunlight.
The brick building looked almost identical to every other house that surrounded it and it almost made me want to check the location again.
Almost.
I didn't, I trusted myself and told Mark to park on the next street, we'd then walk from there.
Dressed in t shirt and jeans I looked like a normal guy walking in the neighbourhood.
I wasn't stupid enough to knock on the door so I got Mark to do it and act as a distraction.
While he did that I crept around the back through the undergrowth and spotted an open window that was on the roof.
I heard the door open and I jumped onto a window ledge.
I then stretched out and grabbed onto the gutter. I hauled myself up and crouched on the edge of the slanting roof.
I peeled down to see Mark talking with a person that was not visible from this point of view. Looks like nothing has been set of yet.
I looked inside the window into a dark room.
The only light that was in the room was the soft glow of the sunlight.
No movement was inside as far as I could see so I jumped in.
I landed as softly as I could on the wooden floor. With a slight creek and a blow of dust I was inside the attic of the house.
There was still no movement, a pin could be heard in the cautious silence that followed after I stood up from a crouch.
Another source of light could be seen, it formed a square shape and had a piece of wood blocking the rest of the light.
That was the exit which I cautiously walked towards, trying to create as less noise as possible as to not be caught.
The creaky wooden floors made it hard to move silently though I didn't bother getting my phone out to create more light because the sunlight to me was enough. This also drew less attention to myself.
There was a another object beside the exit of the attic, it felt like a series of short poles which then I took it to be the ladder which lead out of this place. It was folded and it also arose another problem.
If I took my time to unfold and climb down silently it was make me more vulnerable because I would be easily noticed but if I took the quicker option and just jumped it would create a lot of noise.
I decided to go with the jump, after I created some noise I could quickly hide and the person would hopefully pass it off as just their imagination.
I opened the panel to see the floor of the lower level. I steadied myself on the edge of the attic floor with one hand on the panel and on beside my feet.
I jumped and pulled the panel closed then other hand propelled and softened the landing.
Thud!
I landed then without wasting anytime went into a nearby room which had an open door.
Someone then came to the area and I heard there footsteps.
The pause in their steps and then the leaving footsteps.
Then there was murmuring, it could be heard from here which meant it was somewhere along this corridor.
I crept along, still bent down and kept to the wall.
The murmuring could be heard more clearly but the words were still fuzzy.
An open doorway was up ahead and the voices could be heard now.
"Do you think Yuuta found us?"
"Master said that he wouldn't come here"
"But that noise from the living room."
"Do you doubt the master?"
"No no of course not "
The conversation of the two men was intriguing, I kept listening for more info.
"Then why are you questioning whether the young master Higashi found our location or not?"
"I'm just nervous,"
"Don't worry, the master isn't new to this."
"Why do you say that?"
Then a new voice came.
"Because he's a noble traitor, and the love of my life,"
The voice was feminine and very familiar. Guess who?
"If you say so Natalia,"
