Chereads / The Unwilling Heir / Chapter 11 - The Social

Chapter 11 - The Social

My goal of becoming a normal high school child is half coming true! Sure I'm making friends with some of the most prestigious people in the world but they are good people. Not being arrogant but, birds of a feather flock together.

I walked to school in a happy mood, no robots today. No need to deal with the principle anymore until the school holidays. No maths today.

It's a wonderful day today.

I went to school in steady strides with the corner of my lips lifted. My blonde hair hung loosely and was messy as usually.

I quickened my pace as the school gates to the enormous school were in sight and Yuuta's hummer was parked at the front.

I managed to spot Dominic in a group of boys that just entered the school.

Yuuta spotted me as he got out his car and stood at the gates waiting for me.

We went in and sped up to catch up to Dominic.

"Hey," I called out to him from behind.

Dominic turned, probably recognising my voice.

"My fellow juniors, how nice to see you!" He said with a grin and patted up on our heads. Ruffling our hair, one hand on each head.

The group he was walking with turned around.

"Dude what's the hold up," one of them said as they walked towards him.

"Guys, these are my two favourite juniors," he said transferring his arms around our shoulders.

"Micheal Malligane and Yuuta Higashi,"

He introduced with a smile.

"That's the guy who the girls all flicked over, his looks are top notch, he has a regal air to him as well, too bad he's not high class, yeah that's a shame," the guys all discussed openly while staring at me.

I found it a bit weird but endured it, usually people would be talking about the high class Yuuta. Maybe they already heard about him from Dominic beforehand.

I haven't noticed till now because he was being so silent but Yuuta looked very troubled. His face was more blank then usual and his hands were curved in more of an angle then natural relaxed. There was also tension in the facial muscles and his eyebrows were furrowed a slight bit.

I looked at him with raised eyebrows and a questioning look.

He purses his lips and looked away.

"Well, these two juniors will be my favourites as well. If D finds them worthy then they should be above average." One of them said.

"Bro, have you seen the time," another one said.

Dominic looked and his smile disappeared for a bit.

"Sorry juniors, gotta split," he waved his hands and they all walk off.

"Micheal, you have 3 minutes till class," I heard Lixer say.

"I'll meet you at the language room and you better tell me then," I said to Yuuta with a concerned voice.

He just looked at me and left for his elevator, I ran to my locker room and collected my books I prepared on the table yesterday then rushed to the elevator.

"Lixer, take me to class,"

The elevator jolted and my mind was still wondering around Yuuta. What would get him that frustrated?

Arriving at the language room I spotted Yuuta striding down the hallway at the opposite end. I threw a concerned look his way, went into the room. 8 o'clock, just made it. I looked over to see Yuuta looking at the front of the class, face still troubled.

"Hey, what's the problem. You even more shut off to the world then you normally are." I asked, I really cared about him. I didn't want to loose my friend nor did I want him to harbour any unnecessary stress.

It's unhealthy Yuuta! Didn't your parents teach you anything?

"I'll tell you at the locker room, let's go to yours after class," he said with a shake of his head, he acts like it's no big deal.

I think otherwise.

After class, I grab Yuuta by the wrist to stop him from escaping the inevitable and dragged him to my locker room. In the elevator he was scowling but I knew it was for his own good and so did he.

In the locker room I forced him to sit on the sofa and death glares him until he talked.

"Fine you can stop," he finally said.

I tilted my head signalling for him to start explaining.

"It nothing big, just that there is a social my family name is going to be participating in. And I don't want to go but my parents are forcing me to and I don't know what to do." he said looking at the carpet.

I understood him as he explained, that was basically my childhood, the only difference is that i didn't have anywhere to go. There was an inner war, one side didn't want to go because there would only be political stuff there. The other side though, it wanted to go because these socials were my only experience back then of somewhere other then the mansion and a dark room.

"I can't convince your parents to not let you go, because to do so would mean that I would need to reveal my family and abusing my position. What I can do is... go with you!" I said while thinking of how to left my only friend.

His eyes brightened for a bit before the light went.

"How are you going to get an invite, it's a personal party held by some high class a**hole who wants to flaunt their power." he asked.

"Leave that to me, I am a noble heir, don't underestimate me." I may as well use my status to help a friend, I winked at him.

...

After Yuuta and I went to the dojo i went straight back home so I could get an invitation. I asked who's party is was when we were running laps.

The party was going to be held by the Lilak family, after a background check i can conclude that they are a greedy high class family that want to rise to the top of the high class ranks. Yuuta being a Higashi heir would be the main target of the family is he were to go. With this in mind I'm surprise that his parents are forcing him to go unless they want him too marry and be eligible for the position of head of family. That it, that's why he has to go.

I don't know how I feel about that, I'll b happy for him if he going to be married but at the same time I don't want it to be forced.

I managed to get an invite off of one of the attending families so that I could go and keep Yuuta company. This family was fairly new but rising to power, this is the reason why they were invited in the first place but only one family member was invited, it was the heir. Another reason that I got the invite off of him is because the Lilak family haven't seen his face yet. I plan to stay out of sight as to not cause any future problems.

I had no need to check my schedule because its always free. Unlike other heir's I am not under the full control of my parents and have rebelled instead, leaving my parents to not trust me with business matters and in turn leaving me with my very clear schedule.

I will be undercover during the social that is held on the 24th of May at the Lily Pond Hotel, a seven star hotel owned by the Lilak company.

I will be going as only son of Vincent Reeve Moless and heir to the Moless family,

Christopher Zane Moless.
