My body was sore, I wanted to puke right away. I kept my eyes closed and the pungent in the air made me sick. It was as strong as the smell of rust in the iron. The ribs felt so loose and my hands were heavy. The grass beneath my body was soaked in my blood, to turn the green, red. I heard nothing, the beep echoing in my ears alarmed me. I felt as if I were dead, no, I wished I would die to suffer from this pain all over my body. It made me wonder why he stopped hitting me.
When the ring in my head faded, I heard, "Prakash!", she was waking me up. Sita was leaning against the tree next to me. Then I remembered something, she was the one who rescued me. Sita saved me, I saw her fighting the attacker while I was lying paralysed.
"Than...k you…"
"Prakash! Are you awake?", she helped me sit and hugged me tightly, I groaned in pain "Ah, sorry! Sorry!", she cried holding my hands and resting her head against my shoulder. Her tears had drenched my chest. My arm voluntarily moved to hug her back and I let her be until she calmed down a bit.
She checked on me if I was alright and ran somewhere.
It reminded me of the day she had brought me to her imaginary world. One could mistake it for a wonderland. It was so fascinating and the view was breathtaking. If a person needs a place for healing, he/she should come to this place. That very realization made my jaw drop in surprise. She came back with a bottle of water and fed me some and also helped me wipe my face. All I could do was stare at her in amazement.
"At this rate, you're gonna drill a hole in my face."
"Remember that I helped you upgrade your powers.", that wasn't what I was supposed to say and I knew that. But I just said it to regret the next second. "I would have died at that place if I were to receive another blow from that guy."
"You are welcome.", her eyes were red, probably from crying until I regained consciousness. I felt sorry for her, and I didn't know why. I felt like I lost, I wanted to protect her at all cost. But she was the one who had protected me. I wanted to be her hero. "I guess I wanted to live… with you…", her words, she had a way with her words. And I was vulnerable to those that moment which had brought tears to my eyes. I gulped down the urging emotions along with the water and thanked her once again, caressing her head softly.
"We are yet to deal with the attacker.", she looked so terrified.
"Let's meet Ahim, he must have some way to solve this problem.", we agreed to go to the Ajopavana.
Ahim was waiting for us, with one of the Ojasas. His complexion seemed unusually paler and he had become leaner, which stood out well.
"I want you to treat him first."
He walked towards me who was leaning against Sita carrying me halfway through the garden. Ahim then helped me rest under the shade of a tree and let the Ojas treat me. When the Ojas touched me, a strange feeling passed throughout my body, it had made me dizzy. I fell asleep as soon as I started receiving his aid. I heard faint voices of Ahim and Sita discussing beside me in a very concerned tone.
Gradually, I lost the touch with reality. I saw some Ojasas holding hands in a circle and laughing. They sounded like happy little babies and there was also this voice of a squirrel squeaking and some birds chirping. As I walked, I found a house so peaceful and lively. I entered the house as if it was mine. I heard some sound from the kitchen, there was food in the process of cooking and besides was Sita in a beige dress she used to wear when she was young. I laughed at seeing her and at how the dress fit her even when she had grown so much.
"Prakash!", she called me smiling so gladly.
I said, "Like you know how to cook!" and laughed.
