"Young Lord, please forgive me, but you know the Young Lady has always been weak…" The old man tried his best to explain the situation in a way that won't cause him his life. But, the young man couldn't accept what he was spouting and pushed him aside.
"Noah."
"Father, forgive me…" Noah clenched his fist into a ball, at the point of punching the old man.
However, he must not be rude in the presence of his father and mother. But, to just accept the ridiculous nonsense the old man was spouting about was too much for him.
Emma continued to spectate but soon felt a drilling pain in her head. She sighs as she realizes what a dream she was having.
'I better pinch myself to wake up.'
The girl pinched herself leading her to shriek like a mouse in pain from what she did.
"Ah-"
As she realized that the pinching hurt, she was taken aback and did it one again.
"Impossible." She said as she realized she was not dreaming at all. She looked up and realized the people around her were staring confusedly at her. As if they were seeing a ghost or something…
As she looks around, she notices a nearby window by the bed. She jumped out of bed and opened the window and realized she was in a whole different world.
"What is going on here?" She mumbled to herself as she felt her head starting to ache again.
"Athena, dear…" The woman next to her earlier softly and worriedly called out her name. She didn't try to approach the girl, seeing how confused she looked.
...What is going on, where am I?
Why is this woman looking so worried for me as if I've almost died?
Wait, didn't she call me Athena?
When the girl looked at the strange hand she was staring at, she screamed her lungs out in shock from what was happening. The pain she was feeling in her head started to ache some more...
Those inside the room didn't dare to approach the girl. They fear that she might do something insane and jump out of the window.
"What the heck is going on..." There were her last words before she lost consciousness again and collapsed.
Noah was the first to snapback and order, "What are you doing? Hurry up and get my sister back in her bed."
As the servants quickly picked the unconscious girl and placed her back to her bed. Everyone then started to whisper to each other.
The woman earlier who was covered in turns turned cold and her expression was filled with anger. She didn't care about manners anymore as she vented her anger towards the old man.
"You said she was dead…"
She pointed at her daughter who was being placed back on the bed.
"My Lady, you yourself, check as well. She didn't have any pulse, nor did her heart beat a moment ago." The old man shakily explains, worried that he is about to lose his head.
"Then explain what happened?" She was like a lion roaring in anger, upset to have thought she had lost her daughter.
"My Lady, I too do not know what happened. But as I recall, weren't the Young Lady prophecies to be a Saintess?"
Hearing the word "Saintess" silence everyone in the room.
"Didn't his Holiness say that the Young Lady was blessed to be a Saintess, with the ability to control all elements," The old man took the opportunity to tell an old prophecy which everyone had already taken for granted. But, if it can save him from losing his head, then he dares tell such a tale again.
It was during a grand celebration at the Imperial Capital. His Holiness decided to pay a visit and celebrate with everyone. Athena, who was sickly since she was a child, was staying in one of the palace rooms. However, an accident occurred that day when someone dared to kidnap her. It was his Holiness himself who rescued the girl.
At the same time, he made a phrochy and stated: "She has the blessing of a Saintess."
Declaring that she will be a great talent and will bring new changes and prosperity to the kingdom. Which is why, since then... The child was called Athena, after one of the goddesses.
But years passed by, she didn't show any signs of what his Holiness said. She only became more sickly and weak, unable to stand on her own and even walk for a few seconds without having a hard time breathing.
Because of his Holiness's words, the family have pressured the child to try her best despite knowing how weak she is. Which eventually led to where they are now.
"I cannot explain how she has woken up, but, all I can say is that we should be thankful that she is awake instead of dead."
The old man's words put everyone into silence. For what he said made sense. They should not worry about how she is alive, but be thankful that she is.
"My Lord, my Lady…"
An elderly woman who is the child's nanny approached them with teary eyes as well. "You all just arrived, let me handle the rest, why don't you all take a rest."
Indeed they have just arrived, but how can they rest when something like this just happened.
One of the servants escorted the old man out of the room, whilst the couple continued to contemplate on what to do. In the end, they listened to the nanny and left her in charge of their daughter's welfare.
Noah stayed behind for a bit as she watched his sister sleeping at the same time breathing... He was delighted to know that she was fine, but displeased to know the reason.
"Silvia, call me if she wakes up," he said leaving a kiss on his sister's forehead.
"Yes, Young Lord."
Silvia watched as the young man left the room leaving her all alone with the child. She was finally alone with the child and her emotion got the betterment of her and tears started pouring down. "Thank heavens you're alive."
