Outside, Athena bids her family farewell for now. She won't know when they'll be seeing each other again.
"Dear, please take care of yourself."
"Hmm," she nodded her head as her mother kissed her on the cheeks.
"Well be off then," Lord Adolphus helped his wife on the carriage as he then kissed his daughter on the forehead before entering the carriage. He whispered to her ears, "Train him well."
Athena was wondering whether he was referring to the puppy. She knew training a dog was necessary, but must she really train in that hard.
That evening, Athena brought the puppy to her room. The servants watched her from a distance as she started training the puppy as if it was a dog.
"Should we tell her?"
"I don't know, Silvia said nothing."
She was curious as to what her maids were talking about. She wondered if she was training Fuji poorly. 'Could it be this is not the right way of training them.'
When Silvia arrived, she informed the maids to prepare her bath. Since it was just the two of them, the girl had the courage to ask.
"Silvia, was I training Fuji wrong?"
"My Lady, are you aware of what type of an animal Fuji is." Silvia took out the fact it was a beast and not an animal. It was a mythical creature and not a regular animal.
"It's a dog."
Athena noticed how surprised and worriedly Sivlia looked, she realized that Fuji must not be a normal dog since. She has almost forgotten about the fact his world has magic which could only mean.
"He's not a dog, isn't he."
Silvia just shook her head and didn't say anything further. She helps the girl to the bathroom in order to get ready for bed.
'I wonder what type of a creature Fuji is?' She thought whilst Silvia was bathing her.
One of the things she found awkward about this world was the fact she is a noble lady. Bathing and changing clothes are normally done by servants and she felt embarrassed all the time. It made her wonder when she'll get used to it.
As soon as she was done with her bath, she started reading and searching about transmigration. It's been more than a week and still she has not found anything about transmigration.
'Do they even know about transmigration?'
*The next day*
I spent my day buried in books as usual. Fuji would bother me from time to time asking to go out or play. Of course, I was still too weak to play with him since my body was still recovering. I don't know why, but my body is super duper weak. Despite getting enough rest, exercising and eating the right food. It seems I'm not recovering well.
Or, could it have something to do that I don't have magic.
But, those who have no magic are able to live a normal life. I mean, Silvia is fine.
Since the masters of the estate left, the girl was normally left alone to do what she wanted. Normally, she would be attending her lesson but since the incident both her parents agree that they weren't necessary at this moment.
From time to time, the servants would peek and check on her. Anxious and curious as to what the girl is doing.
"What should we do, the Young Lady has been reading since this morning?"
"Silvia is not back yet, and I'm too afraid to bother her."
"She hasn't eaten at all."
Athena who was busy scanning some books overheard the servant's concern. As she looked up the wall to check the time on the clock. She understood why they were so worried about her.
"Mary, Laura…"
"Yes, Miss..." They both said at the same time as they stepped out from where they were hiding.
"Have the food ready, I'll be eating outside in the garden for some fresh air."
It brought a smile to the servant after hearing what Athena said, they quickly did what she asked them to do.
Outside, Athen was enjoying her lunch with Fuji. Whilst she was eating, she recalled one of the topics she read in one of the books.
What she found out was the fact, even if a person does not have magic they have mana in them.
… It's strange to think that everyone has the ability to cast magic, but because their mana is low they can't do anything even magic a small light.
Not only that, there is something called an Aura as well. Every person's Aura differs in color and appearance. It partly depends on the person's characteristics.
Sadly, magic has its own downside as well. Like a machine or any devices back in my world, they would all need a source of energy or a battery. Just like magic, which where mana comes in. Mana is like the source of energy and battery of one's magic. The lower your mana is, the lower the chances you'll be able to cast some magic.
However, once one's mana is depleted one can recover by using a mana elixir. Taking an elixir would boost or restore one's mana. But, there's still another catch to it… Depending on the quality of the elixir, that's how much you'll recover as well.
That is why people train so hard in order to boost their mana capacity. People would spend years in training just to reach a certain level.
Somehow, the more I read and understand it. The more I realize this world almost feels like a game.
I recall playing games where you have mana, magic and certain levels as well. But, of course, leveling in this world is not easy. Well, for some it is, especially if the blood flowing in you is from a good line of magicians.
Which one big question unanswered.
Why the heck am I powerless?
It does not make sense at all. There is no record in history where a noble family does not have any power. Even the stupid crown prince has magic even though his not from a pure lineage of nobles.
What could have caused this?
The girl believes that for every happening there is always an answer and cause. Right now, she knows it has nothing to do with her genetics. Meaning, there could be another factor to it which she is unaware of.
As she checked from her memory, she saw that the girl was given all the best magic lessons… She was even given potions and elixir to boost her mana energy and all yet nothing happened.
She had the blessing of a holy priest from the holy kingdom still that didn't work as well.
As she thought about it more, she still couldn't find the answer.
But, one thing she realized since she arrived in this world. Despite the girl's body still being weak, she felt her inside a bit strange. As if there is a great flow of energy within… For now she does not think about it and focuses on recovering. But, she had a feeling that her mana energy is recovering all of the sudden. Which could only mean one thing…
"I'll be able to use magic."
