"Hey, miss! Wake up!" He huffed heavily as he tried to wake up the unconscious girl before him by tapping her cheeks repeatedly. Unfortunately, she still didn't respond.
Not even hesitating, the guy performed first aid. But to no avail, she didn't show any response at all. He's a doctor himself that's why he can't afford not to save someone's life who is at stake.
"Tsk!" He tilted her head backward and lifted her chin slightly so he can access her airways. He clipped the woman's nose and did a mouth to mouth resuscitation. He did it at least twice before the girl finally threw up some water and started coughing.
"Sir here's the towel." The hotel staff offered him some towels. "Regarding the guest sir, we will take care of her." The staff uttered in embarrassment because of what happened.
He gave the staff a serious gaze before answering with a cold voice. "Fine. Make sure to escort her afterward." Before standing up, he covered the woman's legs with a towel and used another towel to wrapped her upper body. He stood up and wrapped himself with a towel also and started walking back to get to his room. The people who were curious earlier and watched the scene unfold went back to do their own business.
"Wow, you just saved someone's life! How could you act so cool by yourself Shen!" Li Shen's buddy exclaimed while playfully punching him on the shoulder while laughing.
"Liu Feng! Do you want me to perform CPR on you instead?" Li Shen grunted while giving Liu Feng a death glare. He didn't find it funny at all.
He suddenly coughed at his friend's remark causing him to push Li Shen. Li Shen's face turned grim in annoyance. "Liu Feng if you don't stop now I will personally call the front desk and tell them to give your room to someone else." Hearing Li Shen's warning, Liu Feng abruptly stopped his movement. "Aiyo, stop making jokes my fri-" Li Shen threw his companion another cold look that sent chills to Liu Feng's entire body. "I'll shut up I promise!" Liu Feng said in defeat as they continue to walk on the hallway leading them to the front desk.
As they were nearing the desk, all of the employees stopped what they were doing and immediately bowed. "Good afternoon Mr Li Shen and Mr Liu Feng." They all greeted in unison. Seeing their boss all damped from head to toe they didn't dare to make eye contact with him.
"Good afternoon everyone!" Liu Feng retorted in a high pitch voice causing the atmosphere to lighten up a bit. Some of the female employees can't contain their excitement and giggled. When they caught Liu Feng casting them a glance they immediately turn their heads sideways to avoid his gaze out of embarrassment. Li Shen noticed it and gave the staff a menacing look. Liu Feng saw it and can't help but to laugh secretly.
After receiving their VIP cards for their suite, they went to their separate rooms. Li Shen took a shower once he got inside. After enjoying a hot shower, he dried his hair with a towel and went to lay down on his bed. It was a long day and he finally had the time to rest after a long drive. Staring at the ceiling he found himself thinking about the recent happenings in his life.
"I know I didn't only meet her once or twice. It's the third time already." He muttered to himself. He remembered the fortune cookies he opened a few days ago.
'You just met someone new. Someone who will play a big role in your life and turn your whole world upside down.' It said. He didn't mind it and opened another one again.
'You might meet once by chance, twice by luck but the third time around must be fate.' He got goosebumps after reading the text. He was supposed to open another one but his action was halted when his phone rang.
"Are those predictions written inside the cookies true?" He can't help but question it. He had doubts. He wasn't the type of person to believe such nonsense. He simply opened the fortune cookies because he still had time and out of curiosity. He had thought about it nonstop and soon enough he fell asleep.
