The soft wind and the warmth of the sunrise touched my face as I went out of the cave. I didn't look at my back to check of Ghost Wei is following me. The forest was so dense with fallen leaves and tall trees but still, some rays of the sun reached me. This means that I am not yet totally in the center of it.
Somehow, I feel energized. I lifted my hand halfway and looked at it. I seemed to feel dense energy surrounding me. it felt like everything is connected to me. As these thoughts assailed my mind, a rabbit came to my view. On a whim, I reached out as though grabbing it. And to my amazement, it flew towards me.
I embraced it as a reflection. "This rabbit sure is fat and furry!" I thought as it struggled in my arms, making me embraced it tighter.
"You are hunting for food, not looking for pets..." Ghost Wei lifelessly told me with that blank expression of hers.
I looked at her too. "What? This is food? How can I kill it, look, it's so cute!" I said before the rabbit scratched me with its nails.
"Ouch!" I said as I let it go.
"There goes your pet food."
Nevermind, there is no way for me to kill that rabbit. I don't even have a knife with me. And even if I kill it with my telekinesis, how can I make it bleed (Kelly has no imagination)
Sigh... Perhaps I will just have to find edible plants and fruits.
I walked further hoping to find some fruits. Fortunately, I was able to sense poison so even when I don't know what kind of fruits and plant they are, I would know they can be eaten raw.
I was so busy walking and eating what my hand can grab that I didn't realize Ghost Wei was so quiet.
When I did notice it, I looked around. I can no longer see Ghost Wei!
Did she leave me behind?
Has she crossover already?
That quick? I didn't even notice it? I didn't even see that light that shines on a dead person's soul before going up to heaven. I saw this on TV. In this fantasy world, shouldn't that happen as well?
I was disappointed.
But more than that... I started to panic. Now I am alone! I don't know anything about this world! How am I going to survive without Ghost Wei?
"Ghost Wei, are you still here? Why did you leave me without saying good-bye?" I circled around and called out her name. "Ghost Wei! Are you really gone? Did you crossover?"
"You are so noisy. You will wake up a spiritual beast who will eat you as its lunch." A voice said.
However, this voice is not the soft, lifeless, monotone sound of Ghost Wei. And this voice is certainly not the voice of a female. That cold, somewhat irritated voice, is a male voice.
I looked around and then saw up on a big tree branch sat a man.
"Who are you? Have you been sitting up there for a while?" I asked.
Then man frowned and looked down at me.
"Jun Wun Lu, have you been hiding here in the Willow forest all this time?"
I looked at the man blankly. "Who is Jun Wun Lu again?" I asked myself.
